In one of the first days of mass confinement during the beginning of the pandemic, I came across this concert that despite not having good audio quality, I considered it a gem from the beginning, since then I always listen to it again, it is a source of inspiration for me. I wish I had been there to hear it live, that intro to "the very thought of you" is exquisite, it's the piano sound and playing that, as a beginner to the instrument, one day I would like to achieve.
Kenny barron is the benchmark for the jazz piano.one of the most gifted players from the bop and post bop era.he continues to maintain the tradition of the great players of the last century and we all know who they are.we must treasure him while we still have the chance far too many have left the stage too early we hear you Kenny.many thanks.

I remember reading an interview with Ben Riley in the late 1990's. I think I remember him saying he had a mild stroke and he was wearing the gloves because after the stroke, he had trouble dropping sticks.
