Hey Sarah! I personally think you are an intuitive English speaker - the right words often come naturally to you, but then you think about it and then are not sure. You can often use past and last in the same way. You can say "these past days", "the past weekend" though most often we say "last weekend" if we mean the weekend that just passed. Then there is "passed". English is complicated 😄 I really like the slowing down and concentrating on your projects. We get into knitting and crochet , often as a way to relax our busy minds as well as to make something useful, but why jump from one thing to another - there is so much out there and it can play havoc with our minds and well being. I have decided to choose a few favourite designers, a few favourite designs and stick to that. Thank you for setting a good example. I so love your podcasts and your humour💕
Hello Sarah, I am really enjoying your visits. I totally understand the love affair with your needles. Lol. I feel the same about my shorties. Your Nieces sweater is adorable. Have a wonderful weekend.
Wow it’s so green outside in your place, we are still in winter face in Wisconsin. It is so fun watching and listening you. By the way- love your polish cup 😊
Hi Sarah, lovely to see you. When I say 'collar' the o sound is longer, and when i say 'colour' it is much shorter. That usually separates those similar words along with their context. Much love xxx
YOu know how when you hear a theme song for shows, like Outlander or Downton Abbey, it gives you a good feeling? Well, that’s how I feel when I hear your music! ❤ In America, when we say color, sounds like *cuh* *ler*. Collar sounds like *cah* *ler*. Hope that makes sense. I love to hear you talk about your in-laws with such love.❤ I made my first Hinterland dress, I ❤ it! I plan to make more, one for summer, sleeveless, not button placket and big patch pockets, good for gardening.
I love everything you show and how you describe how you go about knitting it. And your not afraid to tell us your mistakes. Also what is the name of your intro song. I really enjoy it.thanks😊
Last is the previous one, whether day, year, hour. Past is a broader term (yesterday, 4 million years ago) and recent is sometime in the near past. ( Recently I have been wearing Spring clothes). You are not a lazy knitter, just efficient. I do the same k2tog with an extra stitch.
We are not lazy knitters or lazy counters LOL, we are efficient knitters! Why count?? Knitting two stitches together is far more efficient and practical.
Last week (singular) refers to the prior set of seven days (either 7 days ago or the prior set of sun thru sat) In the last weeks (plural) or in the last few weeks refers to any set of weeks that are not this current one but are also recent ones. A past week or past weeks refers to ANY week not this current one as far back as ever. lol here’s the funny thing; you can say any of them, and all are correct. Most people will infer which meaning is most likely. I just love to sit n hear what ur up to each week!
Sarah it is so pitty that I cannot see your yarns and objects from the near. So I cannot get a feeling for the material and the pattern. Kind regards from Hungary
If you have too many stitches, please don't go down a needle size! It will make the stitches smaller, and you'll end up with even more stitches instead of less.

I love that sweet sweater you are knitting your niece. Also, I am working on a scrappy crocheted blanket too.
Enjoy your podcast so much. ❤
Here in Australia we use to knit on long needles and make pieces to sew together as well. The circular needles are a newer technique here as well.

Such a nice podcast. Just love your projects. Can you tell me the vest you are planning to cast on next. I think you said Spencer Penelope.
You can say ‘the last few days’ and the ‘last few weeks’
