8:46 Epic! Chinese version of the Bond Theme. Didn't hear this on the The Man with the Golden Gun soundtrack before! My favourite parts: 13:1920:5544:25
Would love to know the name (if any) of the part that begins 44:25. Came to me this morning while I was in the shower and almost immediately recognised it as being from this film. Was happy to find it here. Now want to know what it's called
You'd think that, but sometimes, like in the case of the Thunderball redo, he had but two or three weeks. I think he'd appreciate your compliment, but the man was simply a genius.
10:52 My favorite part of the whole score for this or any other Bond film. I was quite disappointed that it wasn't on the soundtrack I bought. Thank you so much for this video!
This has to be the one film with the most variations of the title theme in its overall OST. Make it a drinking game each time you can hum "He has a powerful weapooooon..."
From IMDb Trivia: While on-location in Thailand, Sir Roger Moore found a cave full of bats. He couldn't resist seeking out Sir Christopher Lee, telling him what he had found and joking "Master, they are yours to command!" Lee appreciated the joke.
This is the last score as for Bond music by Barry in first ten years(lived in England). After 5 years absence Barry’s bond score is changed to more dramatic but conservative.
when the piano kicks in for the first time i honestly thought i`d stumbled into a chas & dave song.. still an epic opening to a bond film and one of Moores best performances as bond
Every bond movie ost makes me feel I am sitting and enjoying at LIDO cinema Bangalore Of couse 3 4 decades back being very immatured to appreciate John barrys creativity and novelty Thanks u tube for virtually taking me to heaven and making me able to talk all these things
Even John Barry agreed with you on that one..big mistake but what the hell..it a "classic" Bond movie, and we ALL love it, God bless Roger, Christopher, Herve and John Barry
This may be the last film music of John Barry ‘s bond articles in first ten years.Bond score was changed to more dynamic but conservative one with full orchestra
My god John bary has given plenty of good music is already 60 retired having enough time to listen music Do u believe my life is too short to sort out masters good music so plenty they are
@John Caudill I'm not 100% sure either, but I know they didn't find the master tapes for expanded versions of this and Moonraker. I think I can hear one or two spots where the note is slightly different, but this is a fantastic duplication.
Opinions on this series entry may be divided, at least all can agree that the soundtrack is SUPERB!
Just like Moonraker. He truly invoked the space mystery in his music. No wonder he was hired to compose Disney's "The Black Hole" afterward.
@@k1productions87 yeah The Black Hole's a great score. The Beta Band sampled a bit of that on their 2nd album!
This Berry is really fond of his lead theme :), he recycles it with different tempo and instruments only 57 times during 57 minutes

John Barry really put a lot of thought into the bond films.
Are you serious ?
@@benlotus2703 No, he just knew how to do it, your comment lacks intelligence, Barry knew how, he also was more interested in grander ideas.

38:25 - The most beautiful piece from The Man With The Golden Gun, and others tracks more. Thanks for Sharing!
Yes, very much so. Really fine.
I remember buying this album in Rumbelows (UK) in 1974 - couldn't wait to get home to play it!
What a beautiful masterpiece by John Barry. IMO it was his finest work for Bond movies. After 50 years it never gets old..
This album FLOWS MUCH BETTER than the original soundtrack!
I miss you John Barry and your fantastic dramatic music lives timelessly in my mind and in my heart. You are the Bond in my book sir
JOHN BARRY FOREVER AND EVER !!! A COSMIC GENIUS !!!
😂💖😂
The solo flute passages are exquisitely divine....

Which is the best kind of scoring . . . Goldsmith-esque!

Cool :)
SO bizarre! As I was scrolling down, that part played. I thought the same thing, instantly and simultaneously saw your comment
Was a quick tease to that theme brought in because JW Pepper returned in this film?
