Amazing day and amazing results for me and my van, plenty more changes coming soon. Anyone considering getting the build tuned or having a system built by pssound don’t even consider it just do it ! There’s no question that it will be the best money you will ever spend . 🔉
Hi Jord, Great build I bet it sounds amazing now ! Just starting a caddy build myself... what made the most impact on your system apart from the tuning from Peter, the midbass in the floor each side or the front footwell sub or the widebands ? If this is all fed from the factory headunit, any mods on this from standard, fader enabled etc is it high level straight into the Helix ? Cheers !
Very nice! Hope mine turns out as well. I am not a DIY’er, but I was an installer 35 years ago! Have never been out on my systems, but things have changed faster than I have!!
Now you only showed and mentioned the single midbass IB driver, on the passenger side under seat, but I assume there's a second under the driver's seat as well or no? I'm getting into SQ/SQL currently myself, have been in the process of planning out which drivers and amps to use, in a standard cab pickup truck (97 GMC Sierra K1500), had planned on initially using a single SI SQL10 in a sealed enclosure, until I realized I could go larger (and lower lol) with an IB setup... and had also already planned out building custom lower doors with 8" woofers, 6.5" midbass, 4-3.5" midrange, and 3.5's and AMT drivers in custom pods on the dash (along with rear fill larger AMT drivers)... and now you're convincing me to throw my 8's through my floor 😅 Edit: oh, and using my glovebox that is typically empty for another smaller 8" sub for front sub fill even though the cabin space is just 2 seats 😅
Hi mate, appreciate it greatly ! This is my third system I’ve done, this one though it’s a different story as it’s much more complex, this time I focused more on functionally over looks, hence why tweeter is just on a pod and everything is pretty much the easy way with out mess and fiberglass work lol about to order a IB18 though so work shall continue 😅
@@Jordwm it may be a pod but it doesnt come across as an afterthought. The blending to the pillar and the positioning close to the mid, good stuff! What 18 are you getting?
@@kaspars804 tweeters will be changed to Mumforf amt’s at some point and will fiberglass it into pillar then so it’s stealth like the midrange , will be getting the one audio ib3
Peter - Do you know anything about Tec precision speakers from Italy? Are they worth it. I have seen a 3 way set and also a set of Midrange planar at a good price.
Peter you know I am a big fan of yours. Maybe you still know i am quite a basshead. But now i am going full tilt on the back of my van like UK guys call soundclass. Is that something you could make EQ settings for or do i have to go to like Tom Crown for EQ settings? Thanks in advance mate!!
I can tune anything! You know that my background live sound engineer, right? Over there we had louder “SQL” systems that you can ever imagine in caraudio! 😃
After you have your system dialed in and tuned for the driver, do another preset that has the time delay equal between the left and right. I personally don't do a two-seat tune since it's fairly compromised for both listeners, instead I simply swap the left and right time delay so that the passenger seat sounds great.
It’s never the same! It depends on how much work is required! Anything that requires deeper investigation and/or fixing in the installation onsite, how many presets we require, SQ competition tune, daily, party tune, normal/differential rearfill, etc. Cost ranges between £400-800.

Beautiful installation, even a lot of shops can't install to this standard. Definitely need another 12 W7 for my golf Peter 😊 .
Great to see such quality in an amateur build! 👍
I love seeing JL subs in your videos

This is like a dream car for me. But these videos have got me thinking about the future...
Gratz Jordan your installation is clean and precise, I wonder if you are a Patreon member ?

The owner sounds real humble about it, but this is some high level stuff! Well done mate, is this your first go at building a system?

What was his integration method for the stock headunit with the dsp?
Hi mate this is my van , I’m using the hec bluetooth to the dsp , still use CarPlay just re-route the sound to the dsp Bluetooth once connected .
@@Jordwm beautiful job mate! Love the amp display panels
@@thirteendigital341 doing the bottom one as we speak 😂
@@Jordwm how do you use car play and stream BT to the HEC simultaneously? Could you explain a lil bit more?
Nicely done. When u go for rearfill. Do you need full active 4channel or you go 2 channel passive? Thx
Rearfill can run passively if the components are not far away from each other, like a 2way passive in rear doors.

In your opinion, what is the best daily vehicle for a sq system?
A very quiet vehicle.
6:11 you could link those videos. I don’t keep up with your channel video, unfortunately.
How do you get a system tuned so it sounds good to both front passengers?
After you have your system dialed in and tuned for the driver, do another preset that has the time delay equal between the left and right.
I personally don't do a two-seat tune since it's fairly compromised for both listeners, instead I simply swap the left and right time delay so that the passenger seat sounds great.
how much do you charge for a tune like on that car?
