Education Through Music 2024 Mission Video

Education Through Music (ETM), a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing music education to underserved students in New York City, held its 2024 fundraising gala on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 583 Park Avenue. The event - “Making Music, Changing Lives” - brought together supporters, advocates, and community leaders in celebration of the transformative power of music in education. This video, which presents the work and mission of ETM, premiered at the event.
Founded in 1991, Education Through Music (ETM) is a nonprofit organization that has provided over 8 million hours of music education in NYC public schools. ETM promotes the use of music as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development. By providing year-long, in-school music education programs with a dedicated staff of teachers and support management, ETM makes music education a reality for thousands of underserved children who would otherwise have limited or no exposure to music instruction at school.
