This is not the usual over sized modern speed boat I see around today. It is a real ship and reminds me immediately of the the Christiana. I could live with the single caterpillar engine with no worries, as many a much bigger ship have had in the past. And I would feel more comfortable and safer travelling around the world, aboard this ship than most other flash yachts I see around today. I was stuck in the Indian ocean in a monsoon once on an old 16,000 ton ship with this design hull, and these canoe hulls are designed to handle the rough weather. It does not matter how fast your boat can go, it won't help in rough seas because you have to slow down in rough seas to match the seas pace to survive. Even a 200,000 ton ships has to do that. This is a liner hull and not a cruise ship hull which has to avoid rough weather like the plague.
I think the conversion raised her center of gravity. I wonder how much? This yacht is beautiful. But I am wary of conversions.
So better than the usual hideously stark designs.
Classic in every way. Love the hull shape.
Absolutely Stunning Vessel, credit to the Owners and Crew, Beautiful.
Back when I was a student on the Nautical College in Den Helder (the Netherlands) I have sailed on this vessel three times. Of course this was before her conversion. Wonderful to see her back in this video.

Ehat a treat and what an awesome vessel. To be invited aboard, for any reason is just amazing. I'm sure they were excited to get some new people aboard, but to also, habe someone that loves yachts and especially explorer yachts. The ultimate dream. Hearing the kids in the background knowing they are tzken care of....priceless
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for the comment 🫡
Yup Christmas 🎄🎁🎄 has really come early for you and family. You lucky people.
She looks old fashioned and yet ..... She obviously got modern touches that elevated the safety of passengers and crew.
A lovely find to show us. Thank you.
Beautiful!
What an incredible and beautiful Explorer. She purrs like a kitten. I am sure you and your family had a wonderful time. I know I would. 👍
We did, thank you! And it would not have been possible if it were not for my subscribers, to whom I am eternally grateful.
How nice to see, my brother in law was involved in the first build (refit) back in 2006, for what I remember the old trainings vessel was filled up to her neck with asbestos that all had to go out, it was done on a shipyard in Poland before any other work could be done to her. Also nice to see some instruments I worked on in the past on the bridge, so I can say there is a little bit of me on board of this wonderful vessel!

Groovy yacht, classic old world looks with modern equipment. I dig it. Thanks for sharing.
This is probably the most beautiful ship I've ever seen. Especially all the different elements of dutch maritime design, such as that wheelhouse has clearly its inspiration of tugboat Holland, the funnels are undoubtedly connected with Bureau Wijsmuller and Smit Lloyd, somehow I also got a sense of the Holland America Line ships in its over all design.
I've probably missed a few eastereggs but nonetheless an absolute brilliant vessel
Glad you like it!
Wow, I was getting bored of all the newer super yacht tours on other channels as they start to blend together after awhile of seeing the same yacht types and manufacturers. The main shape is pretty standard on them and exterior/interior finishes start to look or feel the same.
But this boat is stunning! All the same luxury, but with a different and amazing layout. Great tour.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🫡
It's nice to see some large motor yachts are still actually capable ships with added luxury. They did a beautiful job converting her.
I love conversion boats. Got character, cosy, intimate yet still luxury. I also like the older style
The immediate drone fly-by is impressive and gives true James Bond vibes. A truly beautiful vessel that will catch the attention of true 1960'ties connoisseurs.
I practically NEVER comment when I have almost nothing good to say about a ship, but..
...it's all downhill form there: The stainless steel dorade vents reveals first signs of mixed taste, like the mall-like atrium interior, the bamboo decorated spa and the hiddious tree-root-like "lounge chairs" or the hand-shaped bar stools. The on-suites are just a mix of everything and the master cabin reminds me of the cafeteria on the old Rostock-Gedser ferries.
I DO enjoy your videos in general and it's interesting to see what wealthy people are ready to throw away spare dollars on. I'm truly glad your family enjoyed your stay :) Keep the videos coming. Consider all hate this comment gets as a small contribution to your channel :)
great walkthrough
Thank you! 🫡
Magnificent! I am always stunned, however, that regardless of the size of these super yachts, they always seem to have tiny toilets. I call them "telephone toilets" (unlike the old telephone handsets). That means they are so small, one has to to move forward and aft to do each part of your personal business. For me, I always have the existing toilets taken out of a home I have purchased and an "handicapped" toilet installed. Makes for the best comfort and ease. I love the cleanliness of this yacht, especially the mechanical areas. A clean, well painted and lit engine room tells me that the yacht has a crew that is proud of her.
Fantastic ship….not just as an Explorer Yacht but overall. Great video…terrific job with the size and how much time you had. We saw what we needed to see to make us very jealous of your visit with your family 😊
That is insane! Thank you!
The WOW factor❗️

Absolutely beautiful stunning, is like a small cruise ship love it
Beautiful Yacht! 👌🏻 And great video 👍🏻❤️😃
Thank you! I appreciate it 🫡
My all-time favorite motor yacht is the Taransay built by Rossinavi. I hope that someday, somebody posts a proper tour. That being said, I prefer pretty much any cutter or schooner over a motor yacht any day.
Incredible yacht
This is next level. Wow
that is awesome
Style, Style and Style just BEAUTIFUL, who did the interior design ?
I'd have thought that that shaft would have had some sort of guard over it!
WOW👍
That yacht is amazing 👍👍👍
Yep, build in 1966 in the Netherlands as a marine instruction vessel. If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much!
🫡🙌
Nice!❤️👍It’s great that you were able to have your family along. What an awesome experience it must have been. Especially for children with a caring crew. Well deserved! You do a fantastic job!
Superb tour, John! Many thanks!
Many thanks!
The engine almost sounds like a greyhound bus (minus the screaming bus passengers). Love the colours and decorations. The number of passengers is perfect too. For someone who would love to live on his own personal yacht by himself but at the same time with some other people, this would be perfect. Though the Joey Room (owner's cabin) would not be that big unless its the crew's tv lounge as well as my cabin.
What a tour! Thanks! Engine room is outstanding
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks 🫡
Stunning! thanks again John for another great video ⚓
Glad you enjoyed it 🫡 Thanks for watching
Lovely motor yacht so much more character than a modern. Great tour. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 🫡
Yes!! A really good video! This is how it should be! And a very nice yacht at that!! What a spectacular yacht!
Thank you very much! I appreciate it 🫡
That is awesome and I enjoy your videos
Thanks for watching 🫡
What an incredible vessel, and what an amazing tour! This is beyond a super yacht, more like a small private cruise ship! It's perfect to celebrate a milestone event with a larger group of friends and family. I would be delighted to cruise around southwest of Turkiye & the Greek islands (one day maybe...)
Glad you enjoyed it!
The production value is getting so much better John...well done. I've been a fan of Sherakhan since she had a blue hull!
thats a good one.
I made trips on the original Princes Margriet when I did my Engineer training to become 5th engineer 🙂
Love it . . Id own it . .
Good NZ morning John. Just had a quiet laugh to myself about the gym. If they really are coming down this way to Antarctica, even during our southern summer, they'll be dealing with the Roaring 40s, Furious 50s and Screaming 60's. They don't go away. Guests will get all the Gym work they need without trying. Speaking from experience. Even with the stabilisers working overtime. There's a huge difference between cruising the Med, and getting chucked around down here. Nice vessel though. However I still like "Just B." Thank you for the presentation. Quality editing mate. Until next time, take care.
Thanks for watching 🫡 🇳🇿
Reminds me of my days on smaller yachts sleeping aft near the engines during a night passage and you couldn't hear the engines, but you could feel them and the slightest roxk of the waves just puts you to sleep like nothing else. On bigger yachts, that's all mitigated and on longer passages, up,forward, you got some motion that wasn't so peaceful. But in the, guest areas...calm motion.
Croatia and/or the Adriatic..... Yeah!
Start my trip from Trieste, Italy. Visit the many islands of Croatia on the jet skis. Onward to Tivat and Kotor, Montenegro. How about a stop in Durres, Albania, before heading to Athen, Greece. Time to head back. Stopping in Puglia and Sorrento, Italy before arriving back in Trieste, Italy 🇮🇹. Don't get me started on Patagonia and Hobart.
😍
Superbe navire
🙌🫡
Beautiful, it has a feel of the turn of century yacht. It feels like guests in more formal attire should be moving about, and a Belgian gentleman by the name of Hercule. 😊 peace
Love this 😀
Parabeeeens.
i don't even have the money to even be-able to step on broad
😍
Wow that ship has class without ostentation.
If that's not a James Bond 007 Yacht I don't know what is!❤❤❤
🫡
I want one
👍👌
Ya what we would like to see on board yachts like that..... Can we even say that here? You know, being a navy guy and 1 thing I know aout navy guys - they are the same as army guys!
Crew area? Forgot how many crew it holds.
I will put that up in a members video 🫡
10 gallons per mile isn't quite what I'd call efficient, even for a yacht of this size.
Interesting how they painted over all the equipment in the engine room, including the screw heads. Looks nice, but creates problems trying to remove those fasteners. Had a used car once where this was done. Looked good, but was a bitch to work on.
Preferred the original, taller , superstructure.
I’m not sure I would want to go to the Antarctic in a single engine ship.
Pendennis conversion?
Negative
The master suite has only 1 Eames chair? In an awful floral pattern, to each his own. An original Eames chair and ottoman in black leather is worth over 7K. Extremely comfortable and well worth the... price
For sale? 😊
negative lol
Must cost a fortune to run though 🤔
Selling your channel to advertisement now.
never take your eyes off a kid espcially a 4 year old
In a different life, with billions in assets, this would be my home.
I loved every square inch of this yacht. I hope to own one exactly like this one day soon. But I sure wouldn't charter her if she were mine, nor allow any children onboard.
