This is the sequel to "Minecraft - Star Wars - Death Star Run"
Everything in the video has been built by hand using the 1.4 snapshot.
I have tried to re-create the Hoth sequence to the best of my knowledge including some of the highlight scenes from the movie. No special effects or mods have been used..... its all vanilla! The lasers we're created using dispensers firing fire charges.
The set and texture pack featured in this video will be available in my next Adventure map called: ☆ 'Rise of the Empire' ☆. The sequel to my Award winning Minecraft Adventure: ☆ 'Rise of the Rebellion' ➜ adf.ly/DLagp ☆. Rated 20/20 by Rsmalec.
So WATCH THIS SPACE!
☆☆☆☆ PRESS SIGHTINGS: ☆☆☆☆
Star Wars.com (Around The Web) - "More Minecraft Star Wars? Yes Plz!"
Kotuku - "In December 2011, reader Grahame made one of the coolest Minecraft videos I've ever seen, recreating Star Wars' famous "trench run". He's outdone himself now, though, with this animated rendition of Empire Strikes Back's Battle of Hoth. It took him two months just to build the "set", and six days to film it and get it synced up with the movie soundtrack."
Joystiq - "You can make just about anything in Minecraft -- like the classic Hoth battle scene from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back."
PC Gamer - "Today's most adorable internet thing may well prove to be the storm trooper skins featured in this new video from Paradise Decay, which recreates the Battle of Hoth in Minecraft. Creator Grahame hasn't used any additional mods to support to film, it's all in-game camerawork. The video's helped along by a terrific map, featuring towering AT-ATs, that famous power generator and a warren of rebel tranches."
Curse - "After massive amounts of fan acclaim and nearly 300,000 views, Paradise Decay strikes back with another amazing scene recreation."
ComplexGaming - "In one of the most ambitious Star Wars fan-made homages, this Minecraft recreation of The Battle of Hoth is a thing of nerd beauty. Calling this impressive is a bit of an understatement."
Prima Games - "Normally, we aren't ones to search and find out what players can do with millions of blocks in Minecraft...mainly because we're so busy playing other stuff. But when a UA-cam user named ParadiseDecay came up with a new video surrounding the Star Wars universe, we couldn't help but take notice. This user has managed to recreate the Hoth Battle from the Empire Strikes Back using the Minecraft engine -- it's really something else. Though a little crude in spots (it is Minecraft after all), it bears a superb amount of detail and it's interesting to see what Luke Skywalker might've looked like in the Minecraft universe. Those AT-AT's...those must've taken HOURS to build. Nothing short of amazing."
TheForce.net - "Check out the creatively fun video!"

It did thank you. Not a lot of people would have notice the attention to detail in both films. The Death Star set was almost block perfect to the one featured in the film. The Hoth set took many attempts just to get the laser fire in sync with the auido. :)
When I saw this I immediately fell in love with Star Wars. “Good shot Paradise Decay.”
Masterpiece
This was awesome! I love how you took the time to build the AT-ATs and everything else, I hope this is worth the time u spent on this video
Thank you!
This is probably the nerdiest and most awesome thing I've seen all week.
Guys, that was amazing! Really well done.
Thanks for taking the time to make and share this with us.
Thanks for starting my day off with a smile. That was so much fun!
Holy molly, the amount of work that must have taken makes my head hurt. I can't even make a cave with a door in Terraria, lol. Kudos to you, good sir.
Super cool video.
Lots of fun.
Your new texture pack looks great.
If you want you can always use the Zeppelin mod to make your ships really fly in your videos.
You did such a great job that no mods were really needed.
You kept everything moving and it work out very well.
That was amazingly done. Congrats
Thanks!
WHOEVER MADE THIS IS A LEGEND

Thank you My Lord! :)
The sequel adventure is called 'Rise of the Empire' it should be available around end 2013... 5 huge sets to build, lot of work still to do.
Isn't exactly like the movie, but still AWESOME!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH, THIS IS AWESOME. Awesome job, man. I seriously love this.
Well done PD! Really entertaining and well made!
I liked it a lot it must have done a good job to make this video but I think it was worth it
I took my original AT-AT schematic, and placed it half buried in the ground. I then shaped it to look like it had fallen over.... well spotted!
I love it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!
Fun in quirky, indeed. I do believe it IS a masterpiece, sir.
Thanks again everyone for the kind and amazing comments. I'm glad you we're all entertained!

This is the best machinima ever
Superbe montage, qui n'est pas forcement évident !

The HUD is from the texturepack called 'Minewars' I use a custom version in my adventure maps.

Lucky guy right here! I was there the first time this was shown :D
Its only a few days old and not everyone likes Minecraft + Star Wars! :)
I subbed and left a comment, good work man!
It will be playable in my sequel adventure map 'Rise of the Empire'
This Is So Good
Freaking Nice edit
No mods used, I wanted it all to be vanilla, that was the challenge!
not available yet, will be released with my next map 'Rise of the Empire' watch this space.
Im about to start building my set for Endor, so might try a small Stop-Animation test film. :)
Yes, I think it would.
Looks amazing btw... I subbed!
If there's a bright center to the universe, you're on the video that it's closest to.
Hear that? That's me clapping across the pond! Great work!
"Now do it again, but with better graphics"

The level will be available in my sequel map called 'Rise of the Empire' its only 40% complete! I'm having a break at the moment but I was hoping to have the map available end of 2012 early 2013. If you head over to: planetminecraft[dot]com/member/paradisedecay/ you can keep track of its progress. Cheers.
PC Gamer sent me here - brilliant video!
Amazing work here !
I wish! I did try using the new command block to make an animated scene, but Minecraft couldn't handle the scene switches fluid enough so the footage I shot was very jerky!
It's absolutely brilliant mate. As you say, somebody always moans whatever you do!
I like this part 2:06 I like that because you made the explosion and the boom sound from the movie is in
I don't have any other films planned ATM, just my 2nd Adventure map, the set of which is featured in this latest film ;)
Hoth does have 2 suns in the texture pack I was using... lol
It was the recording that was jerky, it was Minecraft itself, it couldn't load the locations in fast enough to make things move.
Just goes to show you can't please everyone! Some folk we're expecting it to be stop-animation. If anyone wants to attempt this, I'll raise my hat! It was hard enough to make in its current form. I just wanted it to be fun and quirky, its not suppose to be a masterpiece in animation.
from what i remember, they shot its neck and part of its main body. But i think when its immobilized its vulnerable to attacks. *shrug*
Thanks again everyone for your amazing comments.
okay. awesome build. ill like this
Many Thanks to DeadWorkersParty and 'The Shaft Podcast' for the shout out!
What do you all have with minecraft? Its just the battle of hoth from Star Wars ripped off from the bluray and putted on youtube... oh wait what? AMAZING!
I might have to look into doing a small stop-animation test video. But not looking forward to it.
True, you did great with out them.
EPIC MAN GOOD JOB
