More of these ! And scanner traffic and crew radio talk !!!
I find it really funny that some of them say “Defect Detector Out” at the end
Railroad rules typically stipulate that radio transmissions must end with "over", if a response is expected, or "out", if a response is not expected. In following this, detectors indicate the end of the their reports with "Defect Detector out", or sometimes, "end of transmission".
Somehow during some really good band openings managed to hear one of these CSX detectors in the Toronto area, instead of the normal CN hotbox detectors i hear here. That was a rare one!.
Carry on.

Dose this radio frequency have a CTCSS or a DCS?
I keep waiting to put this on my BearCat, But the frequency always seems to have a lot of noise on it and jams up the scanner.
I like to listen to HAM and stuff.
I'll take that as a no.
I found out myself
As far as I know the railroads don’t use any type of CTCSS or DCS filters.
