I have the older version with a non ajustable lead screw nut ..Is this replacable or does the whole main body assembly have to be replaced ....Is the lead screw nut pressed in ..?..I couldnt get mine to move ..I dont see the nut listed on your website in the parts breakdown option.
This is the nut: taigtools.com/product/micro-mill-parts/ However, You should ask for and purchase a lapped matching screw as well. Punch out nut with hammer & punch :)
Hi John,
Bringing my Micromill out of mothballs after 15 years and your videos and explanations are very helpful. Thank you for taking the time. Ed
You are welcome :)
Thanks for the video, John. Could you please provide the specifications of the lubricant you recommend? Thanks!
THANK YOU !
Here at the shop we we want the owners of our products to get their moneys worth :)
John
We use automatic transmission fluid.
It's good in a wide range of temperatures.

What if you have a ball screw version?
"Everything" is the same EXCEPT the ball screw is un-touched. It needs NO adjusting.
