Great seeing all of the country greats playing along with the Shania performance. Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, Johnny Cash, John Michael Montgomery, Tim McGraw. I think this opened the show that year because it says "live from Nashville" on the screen.
While I feel that Shania mixed well with the personalities of the singers from that era having grown up in a small rural town, she always seemed so out of place with the whole conventions and culture of what country music was back then. Her label never would have been able to place her in the kind of box that they expected from Faith, Trisha, Martina, and more. That's why it's so unbelievable to think how without Mutt, she very well may not have had the career she did. I just don't think Nashville would have ever truly given her the chance. Shania just was just her own type of woman with her own brand of music, and she needed someone to believe in her. It's really quite an amazing story.
I believe God knew Eileen was gonna be a huge success, so it was no accident Mutt happen to see Eileen at the very beginning of her career. Thank God for that Devine intervention cause when she stopped using her real name and became Shania she was like a blast of fresh air with her original style, beauty and talent 😘
She definitely would have had the same career just in a different way, mutt is not the talent. She has the vocals and looks..she's the star. Yea he did alot, won't say that he didn't but to say it like you did just gives him power over her. After everything he did to this woman ha...she doesn't need someone to tell her how great he is and how she would be nothing without him or the same. Why would you, so he could have that too, smh. He would just love that....I'm sorry but Shania is greater and more powerful. She never needed him but he was her husband and now the father of her child. Other than that her work comes from inside, that can't be given by anyone. Its more like...mutt wouldn't be the man he is today had it not been for her...wink
