I have her cds & love them but what's funny is that Shania rarely produced country music...most of her big songs are so draped in pop/slick production from her wunderkind husband Mutt Lange that her voice & country rools are buried. Its amusing that many criticize Carrie for being too "pop" when in fact Shania was more slick/pop than anyone in history, she was ahead of her time for most to notice. Faith was really slick too, but no one calls her on that either!
Shania once admit that she herself doesn't know what is her genre due to wide spectrum of music influence. Anyhow, country music geve her a home and she even paved it for wider audience and to be internationally known.
