My town had one of these. I can remember riding with a friend of mine, his father. He had a Mack r model with a 6&4 transmission. That blower would fill the truck in 5 minutes. That thing was a beast.
In their day THIS was the way to move snow, there was nothing even close and the 2206 was the most famous because all branches of the service standardized on this unit. I found one for sale a couple years ago and it was in about the same condition as this one, they had a minimum bid of 25K on that truck I bid 10K and they wouldn't accept my turns out my bid was the highest by far. Now days these trucks are very hard to get rid of cities and municipalities dont want them any more because they all go with the big blowers they can mount on a pay loader, these are all old dinosaurs now. And that is to bad!
@V M In hind sight I wish they would have accepted my bid I ended of buying an older OshKosh Ex-Navy plow truck with a CAT engine in it I dont think the one I bought was in as good of shape as this one its got a fair bit more rust I need to deal with and when you start buying fenders, headlight buckets etc. the cost goes up in a hurry. I love OshKosh and pretty much all their products but they are very PROUD of their parts as reflected in what they charge!

Armstrong power steering too boot. I loved running the township one.
