    Is it guaranteed that speed of sound while sending is the same as its speed when reflected back? Would it not be a bit slower while coming back?

      Hmmm... why would it be slower on the way back? Speed of sound is affected by environmental factors but it doesn't slow down over time. It will be weaker as the signal dissipates but just as fast.

      ​@@CircuitBread I think they might have meant: is the Doppler effect something to take into consideration? Is the relative speed of sound to the object it bounces of 340m/s ? or the absolute speed of sound to the environment 340m/s ?

    If I am coding the formula I would not divide it into two, multiplies it to 170 instead.
