There's something so beautiful about the traditional side of Japan. Sure Osaka and Tokyo were on the modern/cooler side, but something about Kyoto was very relaxing and calm. So far this has been my fav out of your Japan series 🥰

Japan is one of my top spots to visit too because it's got a little of everything. Good food, great nature, relaxation in onsens, unique culture and history... Ramen is comfort food too. Enjoyed your vlog!

I was there in 2017 for a couple of weeks and loved it. Very easy and safe to get around. We to a Butoh dance which was amazing. Looking forward to going back and getting to a couple of small villages in the mountains near Kyoto.

Loving the series! Was going to take my elderly parents to Japan in 2019, but Covid derailed those plans - making mental notes of all the good food spots! Totally random, but I just finally got the Dyson Airwrap, but almost all the tutorials I'm seeing are by "morning showerers"... as someone who showers before bed, I've been trying to work the Airwrap into my normal routine and am going to try this (7:55)...

Sadly have to visit a relative in Kyoto this week. It was 37 C today and utterly miserable. The only way we survived the afternoon was hiding in a movie theatre and watching Barbie.
absolutely love travel diaries! :) may I ask what the public restroom is like over in Japan? Are they hard to find? lol never been to Japan, but would love to visit one of these days :)
I’ve been to Tokyo and my experience with public restrooms was that they were everywhere and extremely clean. Even public restrooms have that hi-tech japanese toilets with the buttons and there was always toilet paper and sanitizer inside each stall. Although if you go to some really rural areas, you might still come across those toilets that are on the ground. I came across one in some small rural park, but for some amazing reason it was still very clean.

We had a later train and was up pretty early! Gion first thing, took a taxi and then train from Gion to the shrine! We didn't go all the way to the top, just the base and then train to nishiki! After we had lunch, we just took a taxi to save on time.

Not like you will ever respond but I'm going to shoot my shot anyway. Were there any issues vlogging in Japan? Like I want to be respectful and I know the Japanese are very timid. I just don't want to offend anyone by waving a camera around.
how do you bring ur dyson? do you have a converter to lower the volt? mine is bought in europe and 220/240 volt but japans accepts only 110 volt do you have tips?
I brought my US one which is also 110 V! The voltage of the machine needs to match up to the country you're traveling to otherwise it won't work :(
