to those who didn’t know, THE TRUTH UNTOLD is based on “La Citta Di Smeraldo” It's the story of a man who lived in a castle and kept himself because he thinks he is ugly. because of his look he received lot of hates and cruelty. he never opened his heart to anyone. his only happiness is to bloom flowers in his lonely garden.
one day, a woman came near his castle and picked his flowers. he was angry at first but eventually became curious and secretly waited for her to pick his flowers everytime. later then he found out that she was actually selling those flowers for a living.
the man fell in love with her but he didn't want to show himself, he couldn’t do it because he was too “ugly”. he keeps hiding behind his “mask” (lyrics: you know that i can't show you me give you me). so he decided to grow a beautiful flower that didn't exist on the planet so she could sell it in an expensive price. a flower that “resembles” her.
eventually he managed to fill his garden with that beautiful flower and waited for this woman to come but she suddenly stopped coming. he then learned that she died. the only woman he fell in love with has died without him grasping the chance of confessing his love.
the last part of the song “if i got the courage to stand before you, would everything be different now?”.. if the man had removed his mask, and honestly revealed himself and confessed his love to the woman, would there be a chance for their love to bloom?
to fully love a person, you have to accept your flaws and love yourself first. let go of your insecurities, stop hiding behind that mask and reveal your true self because that’s who you are. it’s what made you who you are. you are not ugly, you are worthy of love.

I'm still confused about the message they want to give us with those flowers but I remembered that for a few days BigHit opened a Smeraldo Flower Shop, I think it was for the Love Yourself Her era... In the live performance, in every concert Jin sings Epiphany just before The Truth Untold. That's him standing while the 3 others are coming behind him. He has sings extremely high notes in Epiphany, and then just kills The Truth Untold. He's truly an amazing singer. His voice is more nasal than the others (even though now it's a lot less than a few years before as he's improving), and he can sing both low and very high notes (check Crystal Snow for Jin's triple high note). Jungkook also has a wide range just like Jin, but he struggles less in the upper range. Jimin can only sing in the higher and medium range (he can sing in the lower range a little bit, but it's quite weak compared to higher sounds), but he reaches very very high notes easily. V sings more in the lower range, even though he's able to reach some high notes like in Stigma or some of the live versions of The Truth Untold.
By the way the adlibs at the end of The Truth Untold are made by Jungkook.

Just correcting you, Jimin sings in his lower range it’s just that his tone is really high but he uses his just voice and lower range a lot it’s just his lower range is not that low comparing with the others cuz his pitch it’s really high 🤗💜

V, Jimin & JK joined Jin after Jin's performance of Epiphany.. Notice that the beginning few notes of Truth Untold were the ending notes of Epiphany before the actual song started...Amazing vocals.. really full of emotions...
How I describe their voices: Jin = Spotlight, Jimin = Honey, JK = Silk, V = Chocolate/coffee.

"the truth untold" was always sung after "epiphany" (Jin's solo), so Jin is already on stage and then Jimin, Tae (V) and JK come in
Most of ad-libs in BTS' songs are belong to Jungkook. Jimin usually does ad-libs for Jungkook's verses but for the other members, generally Jungkook does ad-libs.

Jungkook is usually always the one doing the ad-libs. Jimin has his fair share of high notes so it's easy to presume he does them all but Jungkook's vocals are always insane. He's known to have the strongest, most stable and versatile voice

P.S. to avoid any further confusion, Jungkook is my Ultimate bias. So it's not me being jealous or mad, i get frustrated too when people do it, but I also remember times when I only focused on jungkook because I like him the most.
For Sammy, Jimin's voice is the most pleasing to listen to, so he focuses more on him, including the fact that jimin and jungkook's voices can sound very similar to the new fans.... He liked a part of the song, so he automatically thought that it must be Jimin, because he likes his voice the most!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, I think most of the people have done this when they first became fans.
It is also fine to express your feelings and correcting him when he makes a mistake.

I get it! Jungkook is my bias. I myself felt irritated because I have seen others reactors do that too, but some of the comments were rude, that's why I said what I said.
I didn't want to offend someone, I just thought that it was a bit unfair of us to be so hard on him. Because, I myself paid attention to only jungkook most of the times when I first became a fan, so I am guilty of that too. I loved the other members as well, but if someone wouldn't praise jungkook, I would get frustrated. But, then I realized that it's ok. I feel like as time passes and we get to know them more, we start to appreciate other members a lot more than the start.
So, what I am trying to say is that it is frustrating to see new fans unknowingly give credit to another member, even though it was not that particular member, but they are new to it as well. We should understand that they pay more attention to members that they resonate with more.
With time, (except for solo stans I guess) they get to know all of the members better, so it's alright!
Now, he knows that it was jungkook, right? And in his recent videos, he appreciates jungkook a lot too! Same goes with other members too! He is getting more familiar with them and that way, makes less mistakes like these.

There are different versions to this song because there are times when Jimin does do the high notes and Jungkook ends the song.
And there's a version in which Taehyung does the ad libs in Jin's part but most of the times it's Jk
the one in the background at the end is actualluy jk, but jimin is normally doing it. But again jk and jimin are most likely to be the high pitched voice in the back

Jin is now having more high pitched lines in comparison to before who was either JM or JK ( also as some have mentioned JK not only does many high pitched parts but also ad libs, and that's reasonable since he's the main vocalist due to his great creativity and technique which suits pop music really well).
@Soung Soe taehyung definitely has the widest range lol and jk is main vocalist because he's really stable whilst dancing, like one wouldn't think he was dancing if they heard an audio of him singing while dancing, he's crazy stable alongside Jin
@Medhawi Adhikari #btsarmy I think an angelic voice doesn't get you to be the main vocalist lol. What an angelic voice is to you may not be to another one. It's definitely mainly the stability and the absence of breathlessness whilst intense choreography. And all members can go high and low really well actually in case you didn't know especially taehyung but it's mainly stability and how he's able to just sing when asked especially in interviews out of the blue and his voice sounds like the track and also his vocal tone is most popular in songs.

It's 2022, and saw this video of the vocals lines, OMG...this is incredible, insane performances from Taehyung, Jimin, JK and Jin. The vocals are amazing. They really delivered so well. The harmonizing, the melody and the lyrics are absolutely beautiful. All the elements are present, the background, the instruments are amazing. This is one of the best songs sung by these 4 incredible members.

fact: the curve/improvisation that jimin did in the end bledging with JK's highnote were actually really surprising coz the studio ver doesn't have that so it's really shocking and emotional coz its even more beautiful than the studio ver.
This high note done by jungkook live completely killed me. I mean ive known he is the best vocalist in kpop,but i am always impressed by his vocals. Like this guy can go high and low omfg. I love them sm. They did so great.

i love what you said. a super group. absolutely. in the live perf of TTU (the truth untold), that's jin standing alone cos during the concert, jin sings epiphany and then the entire vocal line comes in to sing TTU altogether. TTU is a really beautiful song and the first time i heard it, i sobbed like a baby. it was also very surprising cos the army thought it was gonna be a fun song considering aoki produced it. but aoki said he loved that he could showcase a melancholic production like this, truly different from his comfort zone. 💜

Jungkook is the one behind the highnotes
This was the concert where JK felt disappointed in himself as he felt like he didn’t give it his all. He was really sad that he made a small mistake in euphoria that mind you, nobody knew but only him.
They sang this live for the first time without rehearsals. They had a typhoon the day before the official concert and due to the weather they couldn’t rehearse the stage.
They got better and better after a while of performing this song in different stadiums around the world. Not saying they are not good here, they are fantastic, but they improved a lot later.

Coming home from work during this shutdown and hearing you say 'world class singers' brightens my day! The boys deserve the title! Not only do the rap line and vocal line come together to make a super group but you will see after watching all of their solos that there seven very different styles of vocals/rap that creates the super group. It is maddening how much talent there is.
I've known bts for so long and this is still my absolute favorite
