I'm a new fan, and I just watched this video. It felt like that for the entire video, and I kept tearing up just with their voices. I keep getting surprised by their songs. Every time, I don't know what I'll get. I end up crying the least I expect to.

I feel like many of their songs over the years have been love songs to each other and their friendship and its honestly the sweetest thing ever :) This one was definitely one of the most overt though.

This track was made to promote their app game BTS World where we get to go back in time (2012/2013) when BTS wasn't a group yet and be a manager of theirs. 13:59 that was a whale yes, i'm pretty sure it's partly a reference to their song whalien 52 about the loneliest whale in the world which is very metaphorical (a really good b-side of theirs though all of their b-sides are absolutely mindblowingly amazing, you should totally check it out)
The song basically is like what they would have become if they hadn't met like. V would be a farmer, Jungkook would probably try sports or compete, Jin might have worked for his uncle but in here he's a hotel worker or something, Jimin a baker but still a dancer since that's been his talent since a long time, and Jhope as a vet doctor, Suga is performing with his piano. But you can see RM and Suga colliding as if to say they were destined to meet because they were both underground rappers. But you can see they then descended into dance practice which was for their DEBUT song No More Dream. They got together and their world started. Which was why there was so much universe going on. "Feel the destiny in you, feel the destiny in me." It talks about ARMY and BTS fates coming together. (I cried, this songs always does that.)

Okay so BTS released a game called BTS World with Netmarble and this is the OST. 2:55 that was JK and Tae. 10:03 the video actually covers the Another Story part of the game. The main game is getting the band together and helping them debut and be who they are today. The Another Story part is WHAT IF THERE WAS NO BTS? So Tae farms with his parents, JK is a student who practices Taekwondo, Jimin is a dance student who looks after hsi grandma's mochi shop, Joon is a writer who looks into a kid's disappearance, Hobi is a veterinary student, Yoon is a music student, Jin is working as a hotelier. Then because DESTINY the boys' paths still cross and they still find each other. 11:30 we all heard that before. 'Heartbeat' is basically a theme song of a mobile game called 'BTS World' in which you play the manager role to gather all 7 BTS members for their debut (the MAIN storyline). There are also individual SIDE storylines of all 7 members, which are the implications of the fates of the members if they DID NOT meet each other and form BTS.
This music video is basically showing a different world they would be in if they hadn’t found eachother. It shows them all kind of feeling off until their worlds collide and they find eachother because no matter what they ended up doing they knew they would be each others destiny and find eachother eventually.
As for what the visuals mean, its basically saying that if BTS didnt exist and each member went a different way in life, they would still find each other. They truly have an amazing bond with each other

This video was made in relation to their monile game called BTS World. It's a story game where the player is teleported back to 2012 and they work for BiGHiT and thier job is to help BTS debut. However there is also another part to the game where the player experienses what would happen to each of the members if they weren't in BTS. In this universe the player befriends each memeber and helps them through their individual struggles. Jin is a hotelier. Rm is a detective. Suga a pianist. J-hope a vet student. Jimin is studying dance as well as helping his grandma at a rice cake shop. V is a farmer and JK were famous for taekwondo but got hurt and then stopped. That is what they show in the video and in the end they show the part where you helped them debut. In the parralelle univers the members don't know each other

Just to let you know this video was based on the game made by BTS called BTS World. Where you are basically their manager and you go all the way back to 2013 and help them debut. The pets when they are together are part of the main story where you see them working hard and doing their hardest to debut. I remember when this MV dropped ARMY was sobbing about how the whole universe was created for the sole purpose of bringing BTS together and into our lives. So many little things had to fall into place in each of their lives--in our own lives--to make the glory we're living in happen. It really feels bigger than all of us (and I'm not even remotely spiritual). This song is about BTS feeling the pull of destiny in each other and even if their lives had played out differently (Hobi became a vet, Joon a detective, Jimin a baker, etc.) they would still feel a longing for Bangtan, for each other. I wish these songs from the world album were not an ost for a game. These songs deserved so much more recognition. Heartbeat is a very close song to me. It’s one of my favorites. I wish they had released it as an ep instead of an ost album for a game since it had only a few full songs while the others were instrumental. If they had released this as an ep, it could’ve gotten many awards. It would’ve received the recognition it truly deserved. I just wish it got so much more love than it originally got.
The lyric video shows who's singing, and even though they're not always right, why would you think it's RM singing with Jungkook there? :'D It's V and JK harmonizing, it would be veeeeery momentous if RM as the main rapper was extensively singing in a group song. The BTS World is about the player managing BTS from beginning to stardom (as I understand, I haven't played it). The game also features an alternate universe where the boys didn't initially meet and went on to each do their own thing, like V being a farmer and JK doing martial arts etc. Heartbeat MV references that alternate universe and the idea that they were meant to end up together in any version of reality. As you see, this song is for a game named "BTS World". This game is about the parallel world, which means two worlds with one are BTS, and another id they are not BTS. In the BTS world, we can see the day before they debut (trainees) and challenge BTS met we did not know (maybe some of them are not really real, which means just for the game, but I guess BTS shared their past to Netmarble following almost exact). In another world, BTS follow their dreams if they do not meet each other. V said he wanna be a farmer if Big Hit did not catch him in the audition (cause his grandparents are farmers and he lived with them all his childhood). Jimin does not say his dream much, because he gets the nickname "Mochi" from ARMY, then Netmarble builds his character becoming a Manager of "Mochi shop" from his grandmom. RM is a good writer and producer, then Netmarble gets him an Author of the detective story, but his story is totally a detective-style (well, when you guy plays the game, you will understand what I want to say). Suga said even he does not become a part of BTS, he still follows Music, Netmarble gets him a Pianist. Finally is Jin, he wants to follow his dad (rumor said his dad has own company and his bro is the heir, moreover, he also had a business degree, but who knows???). That's why Netmarble gets him becoming trainee management of the hotel.

I'm not sure if someone has already commented about this but from what I perceived and from what I heard from others, this song and the music video is about the 2 different universes BTS lives in. This universe or the present time, where BTS is a kpop boy band and a global phenomena and in the alternate universe, where BTS members are just ordinary people with ordinary jobs like farmers, martial artists, detectives and so on. The regular jobs that the boys have in the alternate universe are what they personally wanted to pursue as a career before BTS was formed. And as you can tell in the end, these 2 universes (BTS worlds) collide with each other. Then you can start seeing the boys bump into each other meaning their worlds have collided. And when did BTS members collide with each other? In 2012 hence why the ending phrase about seeing each other again where they first met in 2012. Now before the 2 worlds collided with each other, you see a lot of imageries of galaxies, the space and a magical world where you see fish flying up in space and whatever. This, based on my opinion is the common universe that exists between these 2 different universes. You know how when 2 circles collide with each other, a small sphere is formed in between them first? (I'm trying my best to explain lol). So yeah, this magical universe is the small sphere that exists in common for the 2 universes. This common magical universe can be symbolised as the people in their lives that love and support them, their families and ARMYS hence why you see an ocean of ARMY bombs morph into a galaxies of stars so that it can be represented as this magical universe. I hope it makes sense haha, I tried my best explaining.

Sammy, everything in this video reflects the storyline of the BTS game "BTS World". Heartbeat is one of the main songs on the soundtrack of this game. Its a fictional 1st person storyline about how each member becomes a part of BTS as a group. As a player of this game you become part of their storyline as their manager and you need to find a way to pull them out of the alternative universe back to their reality of being BTS. Each member has a fictional story that is going on as they are waiting to become a part of BTS. It culminates in their debut. As their manager you have to recruit each member and train them through their training days and bring them to debut. Many of the stories in this have a real story behind it like Jimin's struggle with perfection and his harsh dieting and constant practicing until exhaustion and nearly starvation or Yungi's struggle with poverty. He secretly worked as a delivery boy while training and writing and producing. At times he had to choose between buying dinner or a bus fare to get to work. It shows V working on his parents farm...There are fictional stories too, but it's a really beautifully narrated story about 7 boys being found by Big Hit to enter into their new world of BTS. All of the imagery with their concert and Army as the center of the colliding worlds is very metaphorical for their journey to becoming BTS. Their heartbeat is a metaphor for their calling to be in BTS. The mirrored worlds colliding represents their old lives or a possible alternative lives if they didn't join BTS and the collision is reality of being in BTS breaking through the now impossible alternative timeline. It's a masterful look into what could have been for each member. Yes each scene describes a possible alternative future for them. Jimin was still dancing, but not as a part of the group. Yungi was still very much driven by music, but was overwhelmed by his introversion and shyness. Jungkook was good at everything, but couldn't find his place. RM was following his intellect and trying to solve mysteries and writing mysteries himself, but never finds an answer. JHope followed a passion for caring for animals but it was never satisfying his inner heartbeat of dance and music, V returns home from college, just to be stuck back home farming and miserable. Jin is forced to take an internship at a hotel by his father to learn the business but finds it miserable...until their worlds all get turned upside down and true reality can be achieved....
BTS World OST is for a game of their called BTS World. The visuals in this music video is what they would be doing if BTS never existed and they had normal jobs to do :) I'm glad they became BTS💜

Jhope wanted to be a vet but was scared to hurt animals, so he ran away to a man named Sanggu who could apparently talk to animals. Jimin was originally a dancer, but left his group once his grandmother was hospitalized to help keep her rice cake shop open. V was a boy in Seoul who enjoyed playing video games, but had to go to his parents farm to maintain it. Jungkook was a student who was famous for Tae Kwon Do, but was beaten by another student and lost his fame.

So the lyric is like writing to fans or to each others, like i feel you even in a different universe, you made me what i am. the mirror image is also symbol universe crossing kinda like butterfly effect, how could the future be if something different in the past. thats why theres a part they dress and dance their first song, and the mirror image is their newest preform. the 7 of them been together is a miracle so i feel deeply of the concept.

The song basically is like what they would have become if they hadn't met like. V would be a farmer, Jungkook would probably try sports or compete, Jin might have worked for his uncle but in here he's a hotel worker or something, Jimin a baker but still a dancer since that's been his talent since a long time, and Jhope as a vet doctor, Suga is performing with his piano. But you can see RM and Suga colliding as if to say they were destined to meet because they were both underground rappers. But you can see they then descended into dance practice which was for their DEBUT song No More Dream. They got together and their world started. Which was why there was so much universe going on. "Feel the destiny in you, feel the destiny in me." It talks about ARMY and BTS fates coming together.

'Heartbeat' is basically a theme song of a mobile game called 'BTS World' in which you play the manager role to gather all 7 BTS members for their debut (the MAIN storyline). There are also individual SIDE storylines of all 7 members, which are the implications of the fates of the members if they DID NOT meet each other and form BTS.
This music video is basically showing a different world they would be in if they hadn’t found eachother. It shows them all kind of feeling off until their worlds collide and they find eachother because no matter what they ended up doing they knew they would be each others destiny and find eachother eventually.

This video was made in relation to their monile game called BTS World. It's a story game where the player is teleported back to 2012 and they work for BiGHiT and thier job is to help BTS debut. However there is also another part to the game where the player experienses what would happen to each of the members if they weren't in BTS. In this universe the player befriends each memeber and helps them through their individual struggles. Jin is a hotelier. Rm is a detective. Suga a pianist. J-hope a vet student. Jimin is studying dance as well as helping his grandma at a rice cake shop. V is a farmer and JK were famous for taekwondo but got hurt and then stopped. I remember when this MV dropped ARMY was sobbing about how the whole universe was created for the sole purpose of bringing BTS together and into our lives. The BTS World is about the player managing BTS from beginning to stardom (as I understand, I haven't played it). The game also features an alternate universe where the boys didn't initially meet and went on to each do their own thing, like V being a farmer and JK doing martial arts etc. Heartbeat MV references that alternate universe and the idea that they were meant to end up together in any version of reality. They did make a lot of material (photos and videos) just for the game, and they also made Heartbeat and unit songs for the game (Brand New Day with Hobi and V + Zara Larsson, Dream Glow with Jin, Jimin and Jungkook + Charli XCX, All Night with RM, Suga + Juice Wrld).
As you see, this song is for a game named "BTS World". This game is about the parallel world, which means two worlds with one are BTS, and another id they are not BTS. I'm not sure if someone has already commented about this but from what I perceived and from what I heard from others, this song and the music video is about the 2 different universes BTS lives in. This universe or the present time, where BTS is a kpop boy band and a global phenomena and in the alternate universe, where BTS members are just ordinary people with ordinary jobs like farmers, martial artists, detectives and so on. The regular jobs that the boys have in the alternate universe are what they personally wanted to pursue as a career before BTS was formed. And as you can tell in the end, these 2 universes (BTS worlds) collide with each other. Then you can start seeing the boys bump into each other meaning their worlds have collided. And when did BTS members collide with each other? In 2012 hence why the ending phrase about seeing each other again where they first met in 2012.
Now before the 2 worlds collided with each other, you see a lot of imageries of galaxies, the space and a magical world where you see fish flying up in space and whatever. This, based on my opinion is the common universe that exists between these 2 different universes. You know how when 2 circles collide with each other, a small sphere is formed in between them first? (I'm trying my best to explain lol). So yeah, this magical universe is the small sphere that exists in common for the 2 universes. This common magical universe can be symbolised as the people in their lives that love and support them, their families and ARMYS hence why you see an ocean of ARMY bombs morph into a galaxies of stars so that it can be represented as this magical universe.

Sammy, everything in this video reflects the storyline of the BTS game "BTS World". Heartbeat is one of the main songs on the soundtrack of this game. Its a fictional 1st person storyline about how each member becomes a part of BTS as a group. As a player of this game you become part of their storyline as their manager and you need to find a way to pull them out of the alternative universe back to their reality of being BTS. Each member has a fictional story that is going on as they are waiting to become a part of BTS. It culminates in their debut. As their manager you have to recruit each member and train them through their training days and bring them to debut. Many of the stories in this have a real story behind it like Jimin's struggle with perfection and his harsh dieting and constant practicing until exhaustion and nearly starvation or Yungi's struggle with poverty. He secretly worked as a delivery boy while training and writing and producing. At times he had to choose between buying dinner or a bus fare to get to work. It shows V working on his parents farm...There are fictional stories too, but it's a really beautifully narrated story about 7 boys being found by Big Hit to enter into their new world of BTS. All of the imagery with their concert and Army as the center of the colliding worlds is very metaphorical for their journey to becoming BTS. Their heartbeat is a metaphor for their calling to be in BTS. The mirrored worlds colliding represents their old lives or a possible alternative lives if they didn't join BTS and the collision is reality of being in BTS breaking through the now impossible alternative timeline. It's a masterful look into what could have been for each member. Yes each scene describes a possible alternative future for them. Jimin was still dancing, but not as a part of the group. Yungi was still very much driven by music, but was overwhelmed by his introversion and shyness. Jungkook was good at everything, but couldn't find his place. RM was following his intellect and trying to solve mysteries and writing mysteries himself, but never finds an answer. JHope followed a passion for caring for animals but it was never satisfying his inner heartbeat of dance and music, V returns home from college, just to be stuck back home farming and miserable. Jin is forced to take an internship at a hotel by his father to learn the business but finds it miserable...until their worlds all get turned upside down and true reality can be achieved....

Jin is a hotelier and meets a girl named Areum and they eventually become friends. Suga is a pianist who gets very nervous on stage. Jhope wanted to be a vet but was scared to hurt animals, so he ran away to a man named Sanggu who could apparently talk to animals. Jimin was originally a dancer, but left his group once his grandmother was hospitalized to help keep her rice cake shop open. the game "BTS world" is about you playing an agent to gather them back together forming BTS. so they are playing what could they be in a different life. Jin is a hotel concierge, Suga is a struggled pianist, JH is a veterinary, RM is a criminal? and im not sure about the V, Jimin and JK. So the lyric is like writing to fans or to each others, like i feel you even in a different universe, you made me what i am. the mirror image is also symbol universe crossing kinda like butterfly effect, how could the future be if something different in the past. thats why theres a part they dress and dance their first song, and the mirror image is their newest preform. the 7 of them been together is a miracle so i feel deeply of the concept.

I think they’re portraying jobs that they would’ve had if they didn’t become bts. The song is about how even if they took different paths they are still connected by the strings of destiny.
