- David is a spiritual guide and has helped many people to realise their True Nature.
We did some interviews with David many years ago in the early days of conscious.tv and you can find his story of awakening in those.
In this interview he explains how Self Realisation is becoming increasingly easy and that determination is the most important factor in achieving it. He tells us a few stories about some of his students who Woke Up recently.
‘Realisation is effortless and is not an experience.’
We need to realise that we are already Effortless Being, that’s all we can ever be and by resting in it solutions we need will arise from infinite intelligence.
He also explains what the biggest obstacle to realise ones Being is and the difference between Self Realisation and Waking Up. He talks about Integration and refinement following Self Realisation and different ways to disengage the Mind and integrate effortless Being into daily experience.

I definitely feel and think that CTV is the greatest catalyst of realising our true nature. This was the way I realised. And yes, determination, or unwavering vigilance is whats needed. A lack of interest in the thoughts arising (a habit of attending) ...and rest

So grateful for Conscious TV, which I've been watching for a year or so. Read The Greatest Secret a year ago (thank you Rhonda!!!) and tuned into David here late January 2024. I then watched some 1:1 sessions where David made some "refinements" for clients. Game changer. So crystal clear and simple...I self-realized with "everything sliding into my heart" on 3rd May 2020, and have been flip flopping from impersonal to personal for four years. The process was one of regulating my mind-body nervous system, lots of blissful meditations and then back into the world. David's Shunya Murti - Sat Yoga Institue recommendation is much appreciated. Does being in that state aid life in the practical things of life?
I totally felt that fear in the beginning as well. I think it’s normal to fear losing oneself, it feels like free falling into nothingness. Then you realize it’s where all your freedom is.
And the "you" that you thought you were was just an "object". Regards.

This is very special. I was listening to a Rudolph Steiner talk and drifting off when suddenly I became jolted to attention as this interview began after the Steiner lecture finished (UA-cam was in auto play mode). It was music to my ears and soul, listening to these two amazing people talking on things which I could scarcely articulate myself let alone fully comprehend within my own deepest “inner knowing”... . Who are these amazing people?! Thank you Cosmos for bringing me this wonderful interview and helping me “refine my experience” here! I find much comfort in the concepts being explained, as if the struggle is truly going to be worth it when we all attain collective consciousness

This is so good. Absolutely loved David, his warmth and intelligence on this subject cleared so much up for me. It’s as if everyone else speaks in riddles and I just have got more confused over time. As if I always missed the crux of what was being said. I had had lots of big experience out of the blue and that does complicate things. It’s all so simple though and for once all the puzzles fell into place. Many thanks. And I might add David’s presence reaches right across time and distance. 💙

At around 16-17 munutes, I liked the example -- that the morphic field, when containing more and more lucid viewpoints (e.g. of nonduality) then it makes it easier for others to grasp it as well. this gives a lot of credence to meditating alone. it actually does help others. This is because our thoughts are part of the collective morphic consciousness, shared by all.

just was curious to check out Shunyamurti he referred to enthusiastically and after watching one video I got the chills and then I did little research which brought me to the exposure of a rather narcisissitic portrait of this teacher...loved the interview here and David so wondering why he mentioned this other guy....anyhow in these years I learned that most teachers are all still very much in the grip of ego one way or another...
In a previous interview David metioned that Shunyamurti is one of a few spiritual teachers who has an understanding of the major transformations which are currently taking place in human consciousness.

When Cociousness, which is really just a reflection off the surface of it's Creator, Pure Awareness. However, there is still the most tiny, imperceiveable gap there. When this gap closes there is a feeling off an energetic shift, this is called self realization.

There is a distinction between self-realization and enlightenment. Enlightenment is the maturation of the solitary path of the 'individual' awakening leading to cosmic awakening or Enlightenment, the final doorway.

This all sounds encouraging and fine: though I was surprised at his mentioning "The Secret", which to some people (like me) appears not much more than flakey, fluffy, "New Age" commercialisation of spiritual themes. Who knows? Maybe I misjudged it ;-)
