I'm black and I always cook mine naked, I don't like batter, I like crispy skin. This is a good recipe, I would crisp at the end in the oven.
@@runwind8955 Well coating something in flour or say cornstarch is not a batter. It just a crispy coating. Sometimes I will try them with the seasoning on the skin but the skin will be crispy not soggy like in this recipe.

I have made these with a couple different ingredients and they are delicious. The honey makes them so good. My grandkids call it sticky chicken. You can do this with ribs. Cook ribs until done, Put ketchup, mustard, garlic and honey on top and broil until honey is sticky and it is awesome. But keep a very close eye on them while broiling, as soon as it turns golden brown they are done.

One last thing…in the beginning where she adds water to the wings she is showing that she is rinsing the wings off in a bowl for the benefit of the viewers…which is a good thing cause some viewers may be new and not know that they should rinse the chicken before cooking…
Rinse and leave sitting out at room temp for at least an hour but preferably over night.

I use lemon water and soak them overnight in the fridge. The water is so gross. She didn't pat them dry and all of the grease at the bottom of that pan is really enough to give me heartburn
I have been cooking for 15 years and never wash my chicken and have never gotten sick once. Just buy fresh chicken from a good butcher and there's 0 need to wash the meat.

Those look good and they’re done. So many ways to cook chicken that is good and tasty without frying. I like the addition of the corn starch. They don’t look soggy to me. Nice alternative to baking them👍🏽

Looks pretty good and chicken cooked nicely, was a little bothered by the baking soda but otherwise not bad
A Chinese chef told me about using baking soda (in the UK we call it bicarbonate of soda). If you soak your chicken in about a tablespoon of it for half an hour, then rinse. the texture of the chicken changes and it doesn’t dry out at all. Obviously none of the reasoning for using it was explained here 🤣🤣 but it works great, I always do it 👍🏻

I looked at this and decided to try it so I use garlic power along with the baking soda , then I added chicken cube , cayenne pepper and salt to my chicken and then I let it sit for 20 minutes then added it to the pot for the rest of the recipe, you can add anything to the recipe. Stop the negativity, if you that good of a cook help others get better.

Hey man a friendly tip. Don't overcrowd your pan. You'll keep the pan hotter and get a better sear on your wings. Takes longer but it's way worth it

I'm a vegan but my husband eats meat....I MUST admit that we do have two separate sets of dishes that we use for cooking and eating. When it comes to cooking meat, fish and chicken for him....FIRST, I simply put away all the clean dishes from the counter and dish rack THEN I clean the chicken or meat, season it, then I simply, wash the counter area, back boards and sink with hot, soapy water.....Sister, you MUST clean your meat.
