Please go with the module, if you are building an actual product, as it is pre-certified. If you use a soc on commercial product you have to pay for getting certified and then only you can release. If its for project you can use SOC no issue.
@@chipindetail QUICK last question.....very basic but i can't find a satisfactory answer ...in my design do i really need an external 40Hz oscillator ?...i followed the design pdf and it suggest it's compulsory but looking at a few breakout boards online it seems most of them didn't incorporate it... what's your take on this

Your English is excellent from an American. Very clear and easy to understand even at 2x speed. The S2 isn’t a drop in replacement for the ESP32, it’s only single core.
Great overview. I've been a fan of the esp family. The XIAO esp32c3 is my favorite goto to replace my 8266 sensors. I like the deep sleep and interrupt capabilities. It's perfect for battery/solar sensors.
i just kinda randomly chose the s3 when buying an electronics starter kit. Rasberry pi?, arduino?.. nope… i chose.. the esp32 s3. Whatever that is 🤦🏼😂😂 Thank you!.. Can the s3 do everything all the others do?. was that the correct interpretation?.. or just better than s3 (but much to different to compare to C and H models)?

I like the Dual (LX6) Core feature of the S-Series.. but haven't seen any tutorial/guides on how to develop/debug a dual-processor application . Speaking of debugging, when you plug in a C3 or C6 board, does the Risc-V's USB peripheral instantiate as a COM port, or as a JTAG/SWD debugger, or both? (I'd like to buy an ESP32-C3 board, but not sure if I would also need a special debugger adapter to step thru the code (ex. Segger), and/or a USB to serial cable (ex. FTDI) for general print/logging?
Hi! I'm looking forward to getting an esp32-s3 model, but i still wonder if there's already a way to program it with the arduino IDE or with PlatformIO but i cant find any info about it. Can you please help me? Also, i know some of the new S3 modules like the ESP32-S3-WROOM-2-N16R8V work with a 1.8v spi voltage. Do you know if that affects you when trying to communicate with other modules made for arduino? (like all the existing modules for wifi, ethernet, bluethoot, etc)
@@davidydrake The S3 support on arduino ide is still in progress: github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/issues/5594 . Maybe in 1-2 months it will be fully supported. Worth mentioning that ESP32-C6 now supports 802.15.4 / Zigbee/ Thread / Matter.
You're the man! It's hard to keep up and you thought me a ton about the esp32-s3 in perticular
At 2:35 the wifi slide you show is for 6ghz / 6E wifi.
The C6 supports 2.4ghz wifi 6, not 6E (6ghz)

ESP-IDF lets you pin tasks to a specific core, or can automatically select a core that is running a lower priority task.
