@@Slippzy Your brain gets used to hard work. You tend to cut corners less. Bodybuilding is a sport where you put hard work and reward is visible. Think about newbie gains for example? First time witnessing your muscles, the fact that you even had them. Even if you have tons of fat still, muscles when they grow it's visible when you flex them.
As a young man you see these results, and you realize this is the ultimate truth. Hard work actually pays. You will go through years of hard work, because weight lifting is addictive. You get addicted to hard work. You become a different person really.
Be careful, lift safe, when you are really burned out, rest. I want you to succeed, Slippyzy. Bodybuilding teaches you patience. Long term goals and short terms equally important. It teaches balance. Bodybuilding humbles you too. Because pain.

But hey don’t do it for girls do it for you attention will come as it may but you’re doing it for yourself. You can’t let other people tell you how to look or what to do. While I admire him, I admire people who had the same commitment as drive he did and for whatever reason didn't make it in life.

I am not a pro-bodybuilder and this is not advice to bodybuild or not bodybuild. This is just a walkthrough of what it took me to quickly gain muscle mass for anyone thinking of getting into serious bodybuilding to better understand what's involved and the risks.
When I was in my 20s I was skinny. Then I got into bodybuilding. I put on around 50 pounds of lean muscle in my first year. I wasn't huge but I definitely looked like I was bodybuilding. Without exaggeration or hubris, I was fitness magazine photoshoot quality by end of the first year. Given the rapid improvement, I considered continuing until I could reach a size to compete but in my case decided against it. Not only because of the health risks but also because it boiled down either between a career path towards pro-bodybuilding or other things that interested me. Training hard is essentially like having a second full-time job.
    A. Many think bodybuilding is just about gym. Half the battle is actually diet. You have to ramp up slowly if your body isn't used to eating a lot. I eventually ate around 5000 calories a day (you'll need more if you want to get really big). Not all calories are the same. You have to focus on eating what grows muscle (mostly food with protein, low-fat healthy foods for most of the rest to minimize fat,). What gives you the energy to work out is not necessarily what you like. For health safety reasons alone, you should also be using multi-vitamins and some veggies and fruits. If you have even one junk food cheat meal/snack, you are setting yourself back. Eating that much food is also a part-time job of just preparing food and eating it. Day essentially went something like this... meal prepping, meal, gym, meal, meal sleep, meal, gym, meal, sleep. meal sleep. (the last meal waking up briefly around midnight solely to eat) Some whey protein shakes mixed with fruit, and protein bars at the gym) Rinse and repeat. You have to weigh yourself same time every day to confirm you are growing and not fatty growth. If not you have to make adjustments somewhere (either more food, better food, tweak your workout) If I had continued eating that much food, I would of course have a higher risk of heart attack and stroke. You also have to monitor your energy level. If you find you have nausea or a massive drop in energy during the day (other than scheduled sleep times) you are not only doing something wrong but are risking your health. Bodybuilding coupled with huge amount of proper calories means you should be seeing a massive boost in energy. That said, you can have different types of meals to influence your energy level at different times. Bigger meals can make you sleepier which is good if it's time to sleep but not good if it's time to go to the gym. High-energy meals are good if going to the gym later but not good if going to sleep. Stay hydrated but not to the point of bloating.
    B. You can get built reasonably well naturally with years of training but when eating that much If you want to grow muscle fast rather than fat fast, unless you are some sort of genetic freak, forget not doing steroids. I did mostly Stanozolol/Winny injected in my behind. It worked great but was obviously unhealthy. I started to see mild side effects after about a 6 months (strange lumps at injection points, occasional breakouts on my face and body which I had never experienced before), I eventually stopped but If you continue much more serious damage like liver, kidney, heart, and other health problems later. I personally knew someone that worked out like I did for much longer than I did. He was built like a house and had done several photoshoots for bodybuilding magazines.... but died before he was 30 of a heart attack. There are also risks just buying steroids. Putting aside it's illegal in most jurisdictions (can land you in jail) there are lots of scammers that sell fake crap. If you still want to take those risks, if available option buy from a trusted bodybuilder friend that is already using the same source. Don't overdo it. There is a sweet spot for usage. After that more injection doesn't mean bigger. It means sicker faster. There is no such thing as "safe" steroid use for bodybuilding. In the dosages necessary to make a big difference in growth and cut it's ALWAYS harmful. It's just a case of how much harm you are willing to do to yourself in the name of muscles.
    C. As for workouts, different bodybuilders have different advice. I can only tell you what worked for me. Your body might react differently depending on an assortment of factors like your original body type.. The most important thing to remember is to pay close attention to your individual body parts as you work out. Make adjustments on the fly if something needs work. In my case, too much flab, more reps for that part. Not enough mass, less reps. If that doesn't work micro-adjustments like how you hold the bar which hits the muscle differently. Or try a different exercise. If something is working well for one body part, try adopting a similar strategy for a problem part. Never get into an exact routine with body part unless it's actually working increasing cut, mass and strength for that body part. My workouts were an hour in the morning, and three hours in the evening. If you are going for mass you have to limit the cardio, High weight. Low number reps per set. If you are not tired doing a few reps you need to add weight. I typically rested less than a minute between sets. Lots of sets. Rest a couple minutes before moving on to new exercise. Decreasing weight as you progress in sets if you are tiring. The first few times you work out you will be in pain the next day but with time the pain goes away. You have to feel burn during reps but be very careful not to the point of injury. As your strength grows, weight gets easier. So it's important to increase the weight of exercise over the next week or so to keep growing. Hit different muscle groupings with every workout. Don't work every muscle every time as it will ruin the rest time it needs to recover so you can grow. There is some overlap with other muscles but the less a muscle in rest cycle is used the better.
    D. Yes it's true. As you get bigger and more cut you notice you start to get more attention. However, the reality is you can't take advantage of it while training hard.. You have essentially no life if really training hard. I spent nearly 3 hours a day just eating and preparing meals. Then I spent 4 hours a day in total in the gym. There then there is time shopping, going to-from gym, and other related minutia tasks. I had no off day. Some take off days but in my case, my off time was effectively the time between working a muscle group. No holidays. No going to clubs. No eating out. You can watch a bit of low-energy use TV and read.. Unless at the gym or at home no hanging out with friends or chasing girls.. Stopped doing anything strenuous outside of the gym. Consistent hours for food, workouts, rest, and sleep are important. If you change one, it affects the other. No time to pursue other career and interests. You must rest properly if you want an effective workout. This also means cutting nearly everything out not related to food and training. Even thinking time is mostly spent towards constantly tuning your workout to improve weaker areas and acquiring proper food. Read a lot of bodybuilding magazines for techniques and food suggestions to experiment with. Try to verify a suggested option with a secondary source (a lot of bad advice also exists). Pay attention to what the big guys in the gym are doing. Don't interrupt them during a set but if you see they are resting most are happy to offer tips if asked politely and you don't waste their workout time with small talk.
When I finally stopped training hard and the steroids, rapid decline in cut in a few months then over a period of 2-3 years my body went to average bro even though I continued to lightly go to the gym. I was not only never skinny again but today I'd describe myself as overweight after being skinny for most of my life. Although this is my own fault for not working out at all anymore, I'm pretty sure it's also a side effect of my body learning to consume so much food. I don't eat an absurd amount of calories like when I trained but I eat a lot more than I used to eat when skinny as I get hungry faster.
The bottom line is there is no cheating when it comes to serious bodybuilding. Even with steroid use to grow muscle mass rapidly requires hyper-focus. If you miss workouts, have lazy workouts, eat the wrong food, miss meals, burn calories doing the wrong activities, don't rest properly... your body knows. You can lie to yourself, lie to others, but can't lie to your body. Scheduled routine and careful monitoring of everything you do to make micro-adjustments is extremely important.
