    Genadis beard was dominant from the beginning, second round Michaels beard start bouncing little bit more and I started to hope that it was going to make a comeback, but that’s when Genadi started to talk and made his Beard bounce like a maniac. Genadis ability to beard was just to much for Michael. Genadis Beard wins.

      @TheGrandmaster1 Рік тому +14

      Yeah. If you go back and rewatch it, you can see there is a moment. You can see the point at which something inside of Michael...something inside of him breaks. Not his body, not his bones, but his heart. His mind and spirit. A part of him truly died that night. He went into that building the man he had always been, and he walked out with a part of him missing...foever. A part he will never be able to get back. A sparkle, a light in his eyes was distinguished that night. They say there are two horrible days in particular in a man's life. The day he arrives at the realization that he can never do something he loves ever again. And before that, the day he wakes up and knows he'll never be the man he used to be again. It was that moment...on that night, that the second moment came to Todd. He had to do everything he possibly could to get ready for that match. And he arrived and got crushes. It's one thing to lose and know you were just kinda lazy and you could have worked harder. You know there is something you can do to get better next time. But it's horrible to know you did everything you possibly could to get ready tor something....only to find out it wasn't near enough. Only to get crushed. Because that takes away one of the most important things a human being has. Hope. Hope and the knowlege that if only you just work harder, that success can be yours. When you find out that nothing get get you to your goal....hope is destroyed. And when that happens, a part of you dies. Because he knew on that night, he'd never be the Michael Todd he used to be. Knew wherever he was in the list of all time greats, was where he would remain, and he could do nothing more to add to it. Yes, he had not arrived at the one horrible day of a man's life. He could still arm wrestle, even at a world class level, for many years to come. But he had arrived at the second thing. He knew he'd never be what he used to be ever again. And it took a piece of his heart with it.

    I analysed the video carefully. Genadi posted some months ago a video about beating the king’s move. He demonstrated in this match how to do it. Look carefully in the first round how he’s climbing towards Michael’s thumb. If you dominate that part of the hand and come over the thumb, you destroy the pronation. This technique together with the side pressure beat Michael. On the other hand, Michael realized in the first seconds of the round that his side pressure was too much, so he couldn’t start with a press, that’s why he went into defense. In my opinion such match is career ending. It also demonstrates how to beat king’s move. Devon applied a different technique to beat king’s move, by using his triceps power. Both victories against Michael Todd are memorable.

    I respect you Engin, but honestly the transmission experience was horrible, I paid R$70,00 (I live in Brazil, so it's more than just paying $12) so that's quite a lot for where I live, and the experience was worse than watching someone stream by his phone.
    Audio was horrible, sometimes it would glitch and I swear people could get deaf with that noise, lol.

    Michael and Genadi kinda looked like two ancient warriors battling it out especially with those impressive beards. Anyway I think Devon Larratt's win over Michael in Dubai seemed to opened a door of technique on how to beat Michael Todd. No doubt Genadi must have studied that fight very closely and it's obvious Michael went into this fight with the same style and technique as he did against Devon. It didn't turn out well for him just like in Dubai. I think it's time for him to rethink, reinvent and reshape his style and technique. No matter what anyone says, MMT is still a legendary armwrestler. All the elite armwrestlers respect him. He will make a comeback no doubt.

      It's not a secret with magical equations, anyone who knows the range of our anatomy, can come up with a plan. Sure, Michael was underestimated a bit, because his arm is nigh unbreakable, and you can see the surprise when it doesn't go, when his opponents think he should be losing, as in- continuing to lose. Genadi knew what he had to do,and has talked about it several times, before Devon vs Michael. Even though they're professionals, it's still "just" armwrestling, and for sure there are some guys outsode the sport, who would know where they stand in a match with zero training, just body knowledge. Everything has carryover and there's no "zero" training. Like Khaled, who had zero AW training, yet has proba ly done more work and life related lifting than most of the pros at a significantly younger age.

    What I saw in round one was Genadi a bit higher in the setup, however Micheal then stopped the match, for a minute it looked like Genadi was stuck, then he started climbing and seemed to be able to do it easily, could have been a loose strap but also good hand strength by Genadi

    • @jameslane9267

      It’s the same thing that happened in the Devon Larratt match, Devon got on top of his hand and climbed very easily because MMT’s pronation seems to be completely gone at this point. I think it’s safe to say MMT is no longer in the conversation for Top 10. He needs to just face lower ranked guys like Mask, Hutchings, Brzenk from here on out. He can’t beat anyone in Top 10

      @@strategygames5038 Gennadi won't have changed much if at all since facing Ermes, Michaels arm was strong enough to stonewall Gennadi in an even grip, his hand is done and the leverage advantage became literally impossible to overcome. Gennadi is also very smart in the table but his strategy wouldn't have been so simple prior to the nerve issue Michael had and or whatever else caused the massive decline in his hand. Mike's trying to go through Genadi instead of around him. If he hit back instead of sideways and kept his riser high, he would have had more dominance over Genadis hand, but instead he's letting Genadi get around and over him and taking all the hand control. Michael could have won this with a slightly different strategy and more patients. But Genadi did awesome, exactly what he needed to do 👍

      You can’t watch that match and say mike was stronger than him in any facet. Covid has stretched peoples peaks out way longer than they should in arm wrestling because no one competed for years basically and now that everything’s coming back(sorta), the so called top guys aren’t anymore.
