Our son somehow put my husband’s keys in our laundry… went through a full cycle wash. Afterwards the alarm sound kept going on and off on his Trax. No relief until we found this video. Thank you! 🙏🏾

This explanation didn't work but, once in the car I shook the stick shift and everything went on again... going to the dealership since it's still under warranty. 😊
For reference the owner's manual (pg 36) suggests placing the transmitter with the weak battery in the front cupholder then follow standard procedure, I am not sure if this works with a dead battery. 1. Place the transmitter in the front cupholder of the center console storage area. 2. With the vehicle in P (Park) or N (Neutral), press the brake pedal and ENGINE START/STOP. Replace the transmitter battery as soon as possible.
@@lp6696 it’s been working by having it in the front cup holder but luckily someone had an extra battery for my fob yay!! I’ve been trapped in my location for a few weeks now .. all roads closed because of avalanches but still access to a small local store and I still need to go to work :/

How do I use the emergency key?? Both of my keys are dead now ahhh
The emergency key is only used to open the drivers door, you cannot start the vehicle with it.
