i love that the bass is really loud in kvelertak songs
To my ears, it doesn't really sound like the bass is louder in the mix, it just sounds like they decided to increase the low frequencies during the post-production, which is a choice that makes little sense to me.
Still, the guitar work in this song is top notch, maybe one of the best ones they've done.

I agree man, a lot of metal bands like to over compress the bass. But I think this was all done on purpose to bring out the emphasis and dynamic on the melodies in my opinion. Well done to the production and members who wrote this. What a song!

The song is basically about burning a witch in the ice cold north. I speak Norwegian, but even i had to check the lyrics.

Just a masterpice of guitar and bass. So much diversity out of not that complex riffs and lead. Love it. Best song in 2016 for shure.

The bass is my favourite part of this song so much I learned it by ear. Every time is the first time.
When they do longer pieces, it's always a great listen. Like this one. Probably my fav of all from Kvelertak. Great guitars and rythm-section.

One of my favourite bands; I love the way they take great riffs, build the intensity and remain melodic with killer guitar tones and a slamming rhythm section. As if that wasn't enough they also make great videos.

Let me take you back to 2015. Had started listening to an awesome band you may know?🤔 "Kvelertak". One day my best bud calls me tells me he picked up tickets to see anthrax and slayer fo us.🤘 we get talking about what we have been listening too blah blah. I mention ☝️ he says "nay way my dude thats the supporting act on the tour"😱 anyways what was already going to be a great night turned into a legendary night😏 2 life long fans from that night on 🤘

I happened across this by pure chance. I have enjoyed Kvelertak's previous works however this album somehow escaped my notice until now. This song has made my day. An absolutely extraordinary piece of music! Such innovative composition without the pretension you'll see in many prog bands. Bravo, Kvelertak!

I'm glad I heard this song at a local record store. I was like "oh, this track is kinda cool" but didn't think about it more. The next day the song came back to me and now I'm hooked! Good band, maybe I'll listen to their other albums too.
Their debut album is 50 minutes of non-stop euphoria.
Its like pulling a magic sword out of a water fall, only it pulls you to the water surface, almost immediately your walking on water, what you dont realise is water wyrds dancing and beckoning to the blades call, they bind around you with an unrestrictive hold, enveloped with a fluid armour of unbelievable wonder, you water walk forth, ashore, and with each focused gaze and projectiles cast, all are humbles by the disarming of the blade, by your choice to spare life wherever possi5and yet truly make a horrific example where the fluid of blood is controlled ❤
