    NOTES AND ERRATA:
    24:11 I'm dumb, Havria was not killed by Morax, she was killed by her own people. I had it backwards in my head, where I thought the reveal at the end of that quest was Morax killed her, but no, it's the other way around.

    just a thought about why lumine's data in irminsul is fuzzy: if the forbidden knowledge was erased by rukkhadevata, and lumine had contact with the forbidden knowledge, it's possible irminsul erased the part of her data that had contact with forbidden knowledge

  • @Ren_rz
    @Ren_rz Рік тому +3

    Ei's demon name is Bealzabub not Baal that's Makoto's name
    Something I'd like to point out is that Rukhadevata says that there was a second outbreak of forbidden knowledge and that it occurred at the same time as khenriah's Cataclysm, meaning that tho they might be related in some way the outbreak and the Cataclysm are two seperate events
    Talking of visions you should definitely check out Nahida's voiceline about visions it is very interesting, it indicates tho nor the Archons and maybe not even Celestia is the one granting themCelestia does see through them or maybe the right wording would be keeps an eye on the world
    I don't think the "Truth" that Dottore speaks of has anything to do with the forbidden knowledge because it has been mentioned before that teyvat has it's own secrets and we'll know/understand the true nature of this world at the end of our journey
    I don't think it's Lumine who's messing within Irminsol because then her uniting the abyss order and starting an underground rebellion is meaningless. Let's assume she did have a way to get into the Irminsul and we know that the siblings are powerful enough to do so as confirmed by Dainsleif in the chapter preview trailer (in this case Lumine more then Aether) so she should be able to do whatever she wants with it she could easily turn back the curse over the people, alter the timeline, change the past etc. But that only works if she had that kind of power.
    Nahida says that someone else is messing with her fate, it can be someone or something from the abyss because of the obvious implications which leaves only one person who could gain from doing this "Isthroth" and I'm guessing who is responsible for doing either 1 of 2 things
    1. She added the Lumine into the world's system for reasons unknown or she deleted Aether's info from the system so that he'd be free from the world's grasp so he could follow the true events going down in time whether they're tempered with in the Irminsul or not

    not sure if i missed it or anything but im surprised you didn't mention how paimon wasn't affected by the pollution in rukkhadevata's consciousness thing after u defeat scara, when even nahida and the traveler were. just a small thing that makes paimon all the more sus lol, but also paimon is affected by dottore's knockout device that seemingly doesn't work on gods? wtf is paimon lol

    what if the fatui figured out how to "disconnect" from the irminsul tree, hence why they possibly could remember. Since we know u can forcefully insert a person in it (abyss sibling), then that means you can cut the connection from it.

    In Spanish the "Heavenly Principles" were always translated as Celestial Principles and this quest they are called the Celestial Order, so in other translations the terms seem even more obviously linked

    • @8pril745
      @8pril745 Рік тому

      Another big Spanish note thou is that we don’t use Heaven (celestial) to talk about it the way English does thou. Celestial means heavenly literally, like godlike. Not Celestia per say, so I don’t think that is that connected tbh
      In here we refere to heaven as “El Cielo” being literally translated as the sky. Something celestial is something more godly or heavenly. I think it’s just a fair translation for the shortage of words we have on the celestial topics. How would you say it if you don’t say Principios Celestiales?

  • @corinnetheanime

    Very good analysis! Definitely a very interesting video (and also poor Scara). This whole AQ threw me for a loop.
    And as for the chess theory, I thought the electro gnosis would be a horse, but in Game 1 of Kasparov vs Deep Blue 1996, it’s possible that it wasn’t the gnosis itself that was the knight, but rather Ei herself. She never technically used her sister’s gnosis at all during her reign. Moving forward, Game 2 of Kasparov vs Deep Blue 1996, assuming that it refers to Sumeru, has a white and black bishop left on the board at the end of the game (after trading the queens). This refers to Scara and Nahida. And the Fatui/Kasparov won this round over Nahida/Deep Blue.
    For the knights, it’s more obvious those would be the Hydro and Pyro archons instead (based upon Game 3 and 4). But we shall see.

    • @WhaleMilk
      @WhaleMilk  Рік тому +2

      Yeah the whole chess theory discussion is one that I mostly glossed over because I am planning on making a more in-depth video purely about chess theory, but I do definitely think that Pyro at least is a knight, since knights are very aggressive pieces anyways. Right know my current theory is that Dendro and Electro are Bishops, Hydro is the other Rook, and Pyro and Cryo are knights, but we'll have to see.

    In this quest ....the doctor we are seeing....is already a clone of dottore..
    He is doing blasphemy here....how he can destroy his original form . ?

    • @WhaleMilk
      @WhaleMilk  Рік тому

      Clones are not the same thing as an aspect. Clones are individual things that are clones of an original person, but aspects, from what we understand, work differently. Aspects imply time-funkiness, where Dottore is just pulling himself from different times into one spot, or something along those lines. We’re not entirely sure how aspects work specifically, but in my head it works something like that. So any one aspect, including the original aspect (if that even means anything due to how little time matters in Teyvat) have the authority to erase everybody else. That just hasn’t happened up until now because they didn’t have a reason to destroy the rest. They had a mutually beneficial existence, but that Dottore was faced with an opportunity like no other, so he hit the self destruct button.

  • @turtlebowl
    @turtlebowl Рік тому +1

    Remember when dain said that the abyss order may have been instructed push the traveler in a certain path? What if the abyss sibling is also pulling some of the strings in the loom to some extent?
    Of course there's a lot of missing pieces there, as that could imply that the abyss sibling could've just saved the traveler much sooner, yet they were thrust out of their cold hearted shell into a full blown panic, when they learned about the traveler's appearance in mond. And so far they've only really documented the super important details, like saving nations and making contact with archons, likely because that's something to do with the irminsul (ei planting a seed far back in time, probably wouldn't go unnoticed).
    Plus it's if the abyss order is kind of fated to have the traveler ruin their plans, and they clearly aren't happy about it. Some examples include: ruining their chances at making divine entities into weapons against celestia, yoinking very important books that they spent centuries looking for by following some ghosts for fun, destroying a machine that they thought would cure a curse.
    I honestly wonder if the traveler was more or less "awakened" from their slumber by celestia or some other force, in a response to the mess that the fatui and the abyss order created. Like their whole purpose is so precisely defined as, "witness to the world" who is somehow Always there at the right time, or someone who purifies darkness and eradicates the forbidden. It's just very weird?? Also paimon??

    One thing I’ve wondered about but not seen anyone discuss is how did the Fatui know Aether is a Descender? From our interactions with Signora and Scaramouche, nothing differentiated Aether from a normal human. I can think of a couple possibilities. Maybe when we used multiple elements while fighting Childe? Or is it something we haven’t seen yet - like if Pierro was at the site of the Cataclysm with us and our sibling? Or do they have someone checking Irminsul and ran into a 404 error when searching for Aether? It’s interesting to think about.

    • @sanddry738
      @sanddry738 Рік тому

      Months later I’m still wondering this. Except for Scaramouche, none of the Fatui seem… to care about the traveler currently. They’re a huge player but not directly acknowledged by the leaders which seems odd. Especially since they’ve recently confirmed the abyss sibling wasn’t just in Kahnria but considered ROYALTY. Like shit Pierro should be *very* interested it feels.

    Amazing video as always! I had wanted to join the 3.2 archon quest live stream but i had, unfortunately, not yet completed it myself when you streamed it.
    What I found most odd in the last act of the 3.2 Archon Quest was the amount of Mondstadt loading screens that popped up--the most notable ones were when Cyno broke into the Palace of Surasthana(?) and when Rukkhedevata was erased. I have grown sensetive to Mondstadt's windmill suddenly appearing ever since it popped up during the Chasm quest when the Traveler entered the domain frozen in multiple times.
    I have been theorising that the Gnoses are what makes the Archons seem "otherworldly" to other denizens of Teyvat ever since Enjou made a reference to the fact that the Abyss believes Archons are actually not native to Teyvat, and this quest all but verbally confirmed it. It appears that since the current residents in Celestia are otherworldly as well, they give out the Gnoses to seven strong beings of Teyvat in order for the Archons to act as "mediators" who can relate to both sides.
    But now that Nahida has alluded to the fact that having a foreign Gnosis will cause her nation harm, I wonder why the Tsaritsa is taking all of the Gnoses. Surely there must be a safer way to harness their powers? It seems like all the Archons wish to destroy Celestia, so why not just get them into Shneznaya and minimize the risk of bringing only the unstable Gnoses? Perhaps her memories have also been altered or influenced in some way.
    By the way, comparing Irminsul to a database was an amazing way to put it! And your theory that the Abyssal Sibling put their own selves on Irminsul's records is interesting. I, however, theorise that the Abyssal sibling was not the one who did it but it was Istaroth--or, at least, someone like Barbatos, who is associated to her. I don't believe that a being that has seen the destruction of thousands of worlds would suddenly begin caring about Teyvat so much that they would enter their own identity on the database they know that Big Brother is watching.
    Anyways, I think those are all my thoughts in my initial watch of this video. I will most likely pipe in on the Discord server when I organise my own thoughts and notice more of the details in this video. Have a good day/afternoon/night, Whale!

    • @WhaleMilk
      @WhaleMilk  Рік тому

      mmm that's a good point, that there must be a safer way of harnessing their power. Clearly the Fatui have no ill will towards the gods, because if they had any disdain for the archons and cared for nothing except the gnosis, then at the very least they would have killed Venti and Nahida, because I have no doubt that Dottore could have just destroyed Nahida, and Signora had the jump on Venti...

    i feel i have a very simple theory about the siblings and especially the abyss sibling(im gonna say its lumine ), so they came to this world she woke up first and her brother stayed asleep and she went to khaenri'ah to find a way to wake her brother up, she loved that nation lived with them for years bonded with dainsleif and she became one with the world, she showed or gave them technologies from out of this world thus making a disaster and the heavenly principles wakes, while the calamity happened lumine finally woke her brother or he woke up suddenly, they try to leave, sussy stopped them punished lumine for giving Khaenri'ah power and for trying to escape by making her stay to watch the disaster, and she made aether sleep again and locked his power to make sure that this will never happen again.
    if you read this then you are a great listener and i hope that it made some sense

    • @WhaleMilk
      @WhaleMilk  Рік тому +1

      I keep that idea, the fact that Lumine didn't intentionally make herself a part of the world, and became a part of the world by just living there for a long time, in the back of my head. The only point of contention is that the traveler has been in Teyvat for quite a while at this point, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume he would be in Irminsul at this point, but he isn't. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he ever gets his own entry in Irminsul. If he does, then your theory is more than likely correct.
