She said gamyea is a "grocery store" in Arabic which is absolutely not true. (جمعية/gamyea/Co-op) is a place where low income families can buy heavily subsidised/discounted food. It's a thing in most ME countries.
Gamyea (which is not a food bank but close) is also open to people like Chantal and Salah who want the discounted foods but don't have an ID (you don't need proof of citizenship in gamyea) most people who shop there actually need it and don't buy stuff in bulk like they do. Nothing wrong with struggling to afford food at all btw but it is certainly not a "regular grocery store" the prices are much lower. She's just trying to trick her mostly non Arabic speaking audience...
Again Chantal has no critical thinking skills. She should not have mentioned where she shopped because someone will dig it up!
