I've had a lifelong aversion to smacking, conditioned into me by my mother but the sounds she makes are next level. 1) no enough protein and some “ingredient” to fill then up (normally, soy, oats etc..)
2) to compensate the lack of beef flavor they put a lot of fat (any fat, not only from cows but pigs, chicken etc)

Anybody who thinks Chantal's comment about white people in restaurants is racist must be white. As a mexican, that is how I know whether a restaurant is good. All the "popular" mexican restaurants in my area are filled with white people and I know the food there sucks. Not too long ago me and my WHITE bf went to a mexican restaurant and I knew it was gonna be good bc the tables were all filled up with mexican people. Not a single white person other than my bf. After we were done he said that was the best mexican food he had ever had. And it was. It was incredible. It was authentic. Chantal is absolutely right (for once).

I agree. I live 10 minutes away from the Mexican border, mentioned to my son I wanted to try a specific restaurant that was recommended for its Mexican food. He said it had to be a white person making the recommendation, and it was! Btw -we're both white and I have never bothered going there, it's 4 years later. Same I haven’t had fast food in forever as well if I order out it’s mostly authentic Mexican or Portuguese or yes and pizza on occasion, but I always find myself eating mostly the toppings and the crust I do not like the soggy pizza base.

I have a question for all people (not just Chantal) who consider themselves as big eaters:
Why does every meal have to be so "balanced" and large? A breakfast is a puckin' breakfast -- you get up, wash yourself, get dressed, have a cup of coffee or whatever, eat something or nothing bc you know the lunchtime is just hours away. Why is it necessary to even think about breakfast so much? Eat something or not, to each to their own. Personally I would feel a need to go back to bed if I ate a puckin' full meal after I just woke up. I give zero pucks to a breakfast.
EDITED: a brunch is a different case. It is always well planned and mise en place taken place the previous day.
