    Thank you for your honest review. I too figure these might take a fair bit of practice and tinkering to get the hang of how they might work best with one's specific hair. This might not be an option, but in the past when friends with far finer hair texture than I have need to use hairpin tool with a smooth and shiny surface, they would sometimes lightly spray the tool itself with a bit of hairspray. They might even add a super light texturizing spray to the mid to ends of their hair. They often found this might help provide a bit more grip between the tool and their hair. For anyone that tries this trick, please remember a little goes a long way. So you can layer it bit by bit and let it dry just a bit to get to a tacky state. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on trying these with your kiddo and if they are easier to use when you're not feeling around for it on the back of your head.

    Thank you so much for the review! My hair is also silky and needs a really good grip, it's hard for me to find a good scrunchies or claws even and I'm so glad to find your video! Thank you, it's very helpful! 🙏

      Hi lovely 💜 You’re so welcome, I’m glad this was useful! I was searching for reviews myself before ordering… If you’re used to using pins it may work (for some people it does). I’m not that kind of pro in hair styling, just a basic user who likes quick & easy:)

    How did you get on with them? personally i found them to be the most useless pins i have ever tried. This morning loosened about 10 times.

      Hi dear! Same here. I tried several hair styles but I keep on loosing the pin. My daughter as well. Nothing beats a good old scrunchy or a hair claw:)

      Unfortunately I made the same experience 🫤 it looks good for a few minutes and then it just slides down my hair. I also noticed, that they delete critical comments on the hairpins from their instagram account

    • @lilac.moonlight
      @lilac.moonlight  10 місяців тому +1

      @@totesflaisch deleting critical comments is ridiculous - don't they want feedback for improving their product? And well, same experience here! Maybe if I had more patiencie to learn tricks with these pins it would be different, but such accessories should work pretty straight-forward.

    Thanks for the honest review. I have fine medium length hair and was considering a purchase. I think the colors are nicer than what other companies offer, but it seems like they might be too slick/slippery for my hair.

      You’re so welcome, I’m glad to hear this was useful. I also think these pins are so pretty, but they don’t hold my hair at all, and slide from my daugthers hair as well. If you are used to fixing tour hair with pins they may work, but I’m a more ”grab&go” kind of person who doesn’t like to spend 10min trying to position a pin, so being on this level of ”expertese” I have no use of these beautiful pins:)

    Thanks so much for the honest review. I've been on the fence about buying these pins for a few weeks. I have very soft and fine hair and now feel that they will not work for me.

      You are so welcome, I’m glad it was helpful! Well, it may work if you are used to similar pins. I don’t get it how they make it look so simple in the ads, doesn’t work for me… 😶‍🌫️

      Great video! Not a lot of videos on these pins and this was helpful! Did they feel secure once you got it in there correctly?,

    • @lilac.moonlight
      @lilac.moonlight  6 місяців тому

      Hi lovely @@JLevy-fy3zj ! Thanks for your feedback:) Well they did feel secure when I've got them in correctly, but that didn't last longer than 30 min... Both to me (long and silky hair) and my daughter (with a bit thicker, longer, slightly less silky hair). Perhaps one should use several pins at once to fasten a hairstyle? I'm not sure it's healthy for the hair though to do it very often...

    Just bought them, using since 2 days on thin hair. Total waste of money, they do not hold on one place, maybe for 2 min then they are slowly sliding down. It's pure marketing, if you you are budget sensitive don't buy them

    • @lilac.moonlight
      @lilac.moonlight  3 місяці тому

      Well, they don’t hold hair regardless of user’s budget 🙈 So I completely agree dear! Same experience as I have… Thanks for sharing your experience here.
