Return Of The Wasp

Return Of The Wasp, originally made for a video magazine competition, this is the story of the return of one of banger racings top drivers Geoff Roberts aka The Wasp, whose local race track was the old Aldershot raceway that closed in 1992. The quality is not very good as the better one was sent to the magazine, which they never returned, although it did not win anything it did gain a Highly Commended certificate.

It will be 30 years ago on the 21 November where has time gone I will be watching the last Aldershot meeting it. Only seams like yesterday

Great video , I raced against waspy up at cowdenbeath back in the mid 80s , first time in 84 ? When he raced a triumph 2.5 , I raced a mk 1 granada , 219 sorry about that Geoff , however you got revenge in 85 ? By winning the British as well as wrecking my westy on saturday and my mk 1 triumph on the sunday , sadly you never returned to cowdie as I remember .

@@geoffroberts7197 I'm fine have been living in spain for the last 15 or so years but I'm back in Scotland now , if your ever up at cowdie or Lochgelly it would be nice to catch up with you ... I last raced in the 1997 world cup when the racing was still fun to do but now they seem to spend to much £££ on them , speak soon ...
