What screen do you run with your livescope? Trying to decide between the higher resolution gpsmap 943 or the larger screen with the 106sv. Any suggestions?
I run the GPSMAP 8610xsv. If you are going to use it for open water I'd go with the larger screen, if primarily ice fishing I'd do the 9 inch GPSMAP if it were me, plus the gpsmap allows you to seen the screen on your phone and potentially cast to a TV or record if you want
Kinda disappointing how easy you got stuck at the launch, looks like skis on the wheels would be a better option, good thing you had the ice anchor.
I could have disconnected and gave it a tug with a rope and been out too, but decided to do this. I think I got stuck by going so slow and that was a hard packed plow pile, and then my tracks were just on fluffy stuff so quickly just got down to the ice spinning. If we get some more snow I can't wait to test it more rather than the 0-3" we've had all year.
But yes, wheel skis are awesome! I used them last year on the black hole and wow, incredible
@@AlexTimm I'm considering a 6515 for Lake Winnipeg Ice Camping, the interior layout and overall weight of the 6515 would be perfect for my style of icefishing, being 20 min away from all access points on the south basin is a huge bonus too, you should plan a trip up here one day for ice camping, that would be a good test.
@TheRiley8 Yes, I was just talking to a buddy on Thursday. The 6515 is the perfect size and layout for 1-2 people ice fishing day in and day out. You can get it out as early as an ATV and use it the entire season!
I do need to plan a trip up there. I don't think it will be this ice season, but hopefully, next

My guess is because more fish weren't caught in this video, which I get and have several of those videos coming out. I also want to share some of the tougher days, which we all have, especially when trying new things or new water or with different restrictions or scenarios.

@@AlexTimmI actually like to see those days where it’s slower. It’s makes me feel better about myself…lol. I think a lot of channels end up portraying ice fishing in an unrealistic way. Even the best have slow days. It’s good to have that perspective.
