I was thinking the same thing- Islam recognizes that Jesus was an important prophet sent by God, so for somebody or something to say that Muhammad was real and Jesus was not is a bit self-contradictory.
AquaFina Does that change the fact that the device seems to answers questions in a very biased fashion? Isn't it likely that it will do it again, on a different subject?
Historically speaking, Jesus was a real person. You can say he wasn't the Son of God, but if you say he never lived, then your opinion flies in the face of the consensus among historians.
"the consensus among historians" is not the final word on things. "the consensus among historians" used to assume that Moses was an actual person, but nowadays "the consensus among historians" do not.
Kent Fletcher bad straw man argument, you haven’t disapproved the fact that virtually all secular scholars today agree the Jesus of Galilee has existed

I'm not a Christian, but wasn't Jesus Christ a real person? Like, regardless of the things you believe in about him, didn't he still exist as a man at the very least? Maybe I'm just ignorant of history or something idk. Either way, he's real to some people and to say he's "fictional" is to denounce an entire religion. Why isn't Muhammad fictional then?
Jackson Kellams he was a real person. Jesus is God in human form and there is proof of Jesus being a real person. Even atheists believe he was a real person
A bit tricky... There's undoubtedly more evidence to the existence of the guy called Muhammed in 7th Century, since he ruled throughout his life and events were being documented way more accurately during that time. It's really tough to get consistent records of a commoner like Jesus' existence during the first century. That being said, there's a million times more evidence to Jesus Christ than there's evidence to if Socrates actually lived, because one could make a really good argument that Plato made him up.

As an atheist, I find it absolutely mind boggling that Alexa stated “Jesus Christ is a fictional character”. Like yeah you don’t need to believe he turned water into wine or anything but he definitely existed. That’s not biased, that’s just straight up incorrect
I'm not exactly a believer in Christianity, but it's so disrespectful to give Jesus Christ a definition like, "...is a fictional character." I don't like that at all.
HatedAlways As a Christian, I personally do not care what people believe regarding Jesus. Although the copy cat theory (which is where the Jesus was non-existent claim comes from) has a premise relying on correlating nitpicked items from various mythologies, religions, philosophies, etc. to conclude that Jesus is a mesh of all those things. The argument is inconsistent as people claim Jesus is a fictional character derived from but not limited to the following religions, myths, etc.: Greek mythology Egyptian mythology Hinduism Hellenistic Roman Paganism Tons of other pagan religions Zorotarianism and so on... If you try hard enough, in regards to wanting to "disprove" any religious figure via nitpicking from other religions to make the claim 'x' figure is derived from 'y' beliefs, you can disprove almost all religious figures that existed. Example: Jesus ate bread, if I can find any other religion in which it is said 'x' deity ate bread, I can claim this is partial evidence Jesus didn't exist. Since there are similarities between various religions, this isn't difficult to do. I've also seen claims from (usually) atheists trying to claim Muhammad wasn't real. It seems as if instead attempting to disprove a religion via actual data, they'll try to use a correlation equates to causation argument as undeniable evidence that 'x' person did not exist, and therefore 'y' religion is false.
Yeah I don't like that at all. I'm not religious, but there are no facts or proof that Jesus was fictional. So she is just giving opinions, and that's not right.
@@kaskso349 I was an agnostic for most of my life. When I was 17, I started searching for the truth regarding God and whether or not he existed. I researched the claims of Atheism, Christianity, and Islam as well as learning of a few others for about 6 months. By the end the conclusion was clear: Jesus Christ is the only truth. I only ask that as you read the remainder of this comment, please have an open mind and allow me to share with you a piece of evidence: In my view the strongest piece of evidence is Jesus' resurrection. Jesus' existence is a historically established fact. Even non-Christian scholars agree on this. We actually have 12 distinct extra-biblical sources from the time period of Christianity's earliest days to confirm this, both Roman and Jewish. They were against Christianity, yet their sources give credence to the existence of its central figure. As such, the Christ-Myth theory is complete rubbish and no serious historical scholar takes it seriously. The historical consensus is that Jesus did indeed exist. The proof of The Christian God hinges mainly on the resurrection. In order to prove this we need to establish a) Jesus was indeed dead and b) he was alive again later. One of the gospel writers was also one of Jesus' 12 apostles, John. He was present at the crucifixion. He describes the stabbing of Jesus lung as a sudden outflow of blood and then water - this is exactly how an uneducated laymen would describe the rupturing of the pericardial sac, giving credence that his death was authentic. The Romans too were very thorough in their executions, which is why they stabbed Jesus to make sure he was dead. Jesus could not have faked it. Non-Christian scholars agree that he indeed died on the cross. To quote one such scholar - Pinchas Lapide: ''Jesus' death by crucifixion is historically certain.'' Historians agree that the tomb was indeed empty, for various reasons. The belief in Christ's resurrection is dated soon after his death. To quote James DG Dunn, speaking on the resurrection: "This tradition we can be entirely confident was formulated within months of Jesus' death." If the tomb wasn't empty then the Jews and Romans, noticing the fast spread of early Christianity, would have either removed the body and hung it at the city gates (in the case of the Romans) or encouraged the early Christians and the Jews around them to take a look at the body in the tomb. But this didn't happen, because the tomb did not have Jesus in it. Secondly, Jesus' tomb was first discovered empty by women. Women were viewed very lowly in first-century Palestine (First-century Jewish scholar Josephus wrote that the testimony of a woman could not be trusted, the predominant attitude among the Palestinian men at the time under the false guise that they were naturally mentally inferior). Yet the gospels, and in particular the gospel of Luke (whom archaeologist Sir William Ramsay said: "should be placed along with the very greatest of historians'') attributes a women as the first witnesses. If Christ's resurrection were false and the early Christians wanted the people of their day to believe he was risen, they would have attributed the initial witness of Christ's resurrection to a man. The reason they didn't is because they wanted to record as accurately as possible the events that occurred - the true resurrection of Jesus. Historically, the Jews circulated the story that Jesus' disciples had stolen the body. This was not only addressed in the gospel of Matthew, but in the second century Justin Martyr recorded that it was still being circulated in his day! There would be no need had the tomb not been empty. But the disciples could not possibly have stolen the body. Pontius Pilate sent out a detachment of Roman soldiers who took shifts day and night guarding the tomb, so as to prevent anyone from stealing the body. A Roman guard was a group consisting of 10 to 30 soldiers. They took shifts day and night, so there was never a time in the days before Jesus' resurrection that the tomb was never being watched - they would have seen the disciples approach. Even if they were asleep the stone, weighing about 3 or 4 thousand pounds would have needed to be pushed by multiple of Jesus' followers to have a chance of being moved; so they would have been seen, heard struggling and the heavy stone heard moving, arrested and killed. This did not happen. This leaves us with the fact that the disappearance of Jesus' body from the tomb could not have happened from an outside source coming in. It had to have happened on the inside, where only the dead Jesus lay. Hence, we can conclude he was resurrected. Giving further credence to this is that 10 of the 11 remaining (after Judas' betrayal) disciples were executed because of their Christian faith, as attested confidently by historical sources. To quote Sean McDowell of Peter: ''The early, consistent and unanimous testimony is that Peter died as a martyr;" and of the martyrdom of the disciples as a whole: "It shows the depth of the apostles’ convictions. They were not liars. They truly believed Jesus rose from the grave and they were willing to give their lives for it." They needed only to deny their faith to be saved, but did not. Would you seriously die for something that you know wasn't true? These men died fully believing in their contact with the risen Christ. Some have theorised that they merely had hallucinations, but this isn't true for 4 reasons: 1) The theory does not explain the empty tomb 2) Multiple people shared in group-visions of Jesus 3) They had group-conversations with the risen Christ 4) They touched Jesus and ate with him, which is impossible with a hallucination. The gospel of John speaks of Thomas physically touching Jesus' wounds to prove to himself he was real! Another evidence was Paul's conversion. Luke (as said, a first-rate historian) records in the Book of Acts that Paul persecuted the early church before being converted after seeing and talking with the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus. This was also confirmed by Paul in his own letters, in which he also expresses his deep remorse at persecuting God's church, saying he doesn't even consider himself worthy as an apostle after the way he persecuted early Christians (see 1 Corinthians 15:9). He hated them, then he became arguably their most influential apostle. Historians conclude that he too was martyred for his faith. This would not have happened had he not encountered the risen Jesus. In one of Paul's letters to the church in the early days of Christianity, First Corinthians (Chapter 15 for reference), he speaks of Christ's post-resurrection appearances to people (over 500 in total), even encouraging the Corinthian church, if they don't take his word for it, to speak to the people who saw the risen Jesus if they don't believe - that they may have mental assurance of his resurrection. If the resurrection was something he and the other apostles made up he would not encourage believers to speak to people who could discredit the apostle's claims. And consider this, that the someone did not just sit down and write the bible. 4 independently written narrative sources (the gospels) and even more letters from different authors such as Paul and Peter, are consistent on this fact of Jesus' resurrection - with secular sources testifying of the earliest Christians' convictions of the resurrection was as fact - to the point they died for their beliefs. If we take all of these together it becomes clear that Jesus rose from the dead, which would be impossible unless it was a miracle of God. Please consider this, and may The Lord show you the way my friend. Amen.

Archaeologists don't really debate whether or not there was an historic Yeshua ben Josef and that he preached stuff.
@Mr. Don It is, in fact, by experts, considered established that Jesus did exist. The leading atheistic scholar on the New Testament in the world (Bart Ehrman) dedicated an entire book to showing not only that he did exist, but that the proposition that he did exist is the majority opinion among actual experts based on the evidence. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Did_Jesus_Exist%3F_(Ehrman) "The historicity of Jesus is distinct from the related study of the historical Jesus, which refers to scholarly reconstructions of the life of Jesus, based primarily on critical analysis of the gospel texts." "While scholars have criticized Jesus scholarship for religious bias and lack of methodological soundness,[nb 7] with very few exceptions such critics generally do support the historicity of Jesus and reject the Christ myth theory that Jesus never existed." The wikipedia article lists about 10 separate sources affirming both of these statements. Even Richard Carrier (the leading Jesus Mythicist in the world) admits the overwhelming majority of scholars are against him. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus#cite_note-voorst16-24 You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but denying that the majority position of expert historians is that Jesus existed is not recommended, as this is clearly and demonstrably false. The scrolls written about Jesus contain language and archaeological information that was unique to the first century, and they proliferated quite a bit. If we're going to base the evidence for Jesus off of literature, there's more evidence for his existence than Socrates. A contemporary, Josephus, also made mention of him. It's generally accepted that there were three interpolations within his text, but it's considered authentic that he did in fact acknowledge the existence of an individual named Jesus who had interactions with John the Baptist. So yes, I think that it's safe to say that there was a preacher named Yeshua ben Yosef.

The other times the Quran says Mohammed is a prophet, twice, once says he's only a prophet, and one other thing, I can't remember right now. For Jesus, the Quran says surprisingly a lot. It says he was born of a virgin, why not Mohammed? It says that he spoke when he was born, this isn't a Christian belief but it isn't contrary to Christianity either, but again, why not Mohammed? It says that he made a bird out of clay, and breathed on it and it came alive. Why not Mohammed? The Quran says that Jesus healed the lame, the blind and a leper, why not Mohammed? The Quran says that the world was made by the Word, which we Christians also believe, but it says also, twice that Jesus is the Word. It also says three times that Jesus has the Holy Spirit, why not Mohammed? I was surprised that the Quran calls Jesus by the name "Jesus Christ or in Arabic, "Jesus Messiah". Christ was not the last name of Jesus. It is a Greek translation of the word Messiah, which means chosen one or anointed. Apparently the word Messiah is the one used in the Arabic translation. Thus the Quran acknowledges that Jesus is the Messiah, the chosen one of God. The Quran says that Jesus was sent to the Jews, but the Jews rejected him. Have you rejected Jesus too? The Quran says that there is not a Holy Trinity and says that Christians believe in three gods. I don't know, perhaps a tiny Arabic sect believed this, but this is not true of Christians today or even then. Christians believe that there is only one God. The first words of the Apostles Creed, and the Nicaean Creed are "We believe in one God..." These were handed down from before Mohammed's time. Check the Universal Catechism of the Catholic Church to verify, or Baptist websites, to verify that we believe in only one God. We believe that nothing is impossible with God, and the Quran also says this. But Mohammed says it is impossible that God had a son, so which verse of the Quran should you believe? We believe that it isn't impossible for God to manifest Himself as a man, or to give a part of Himself as a gift to us in the Holy Spirit, Just as the Quran says the Holy Spirit was with Jesus and given to Jesus, Mary and Adam. Have you received the Holy Spirit? While the Quran doesn't say this it says some things that might make you wonder: Why does the God of the Quran constantly talk of himself as "We" or "Us" or even use "Our" for example it says "We created the earth" and "We created man" "We gave her (Mariam) Our Spirit..." (Sura 21:91 and Sura 66:12) This "We" isn't just once but all over the Quran, again use a search function to verify (try the prefix "creat"). It is almost as if the God of the Christians infiltrated the pen of the writer, to leave clues for those Muslims that are looking for the truth. The Quran also talks a lot about Mariam, the Mother of Jesus, and other relatives of Jesus, like Zacharias and John the Baptist, but from what I could find, nothing about Mohammed's mother, or sisters, or wives. Why not have more info about Mohammed, if this book was written from the days before the Creation of the world? The Quran also has many names for God, like "The Way" "The Truth", "The Light", "the Beginning(Alpha)," and "the end(omega), "the Resurrection". These titles are ones that, in the Bible, Jesus gave himself. So although Jesus isn't the god of the Muslims, perhaps should he be? According to the Quran, he was born of a virgin, a creator of a bird, a healer, he was crucified, (although the Quran says God faked this to fool us), he resurrected (The Quran says this but says he didn't die?), he is in Heaven, and He will come again(Thus is he really the last prophet?). The Quran says that at the end of the times there will be a Judgement, and says, almost as if making fun of us Christians, that we will have no-one to speak for us except Jesus. That doesn't sound like such a bad advocate. Who will speak for you? If after verifying these questions you are wondering, perhaps you should take Sura 10:94 to heart and read the Bible, the word before Mohammed.
Alexa is only marginally AI. Is an NLP processor connected to google. Is not fault of developers if Nazifascism voice on wikipedia states immediately the brutality, while Stalinism doesn't.
Even if you don’t believe in Christianity and don’t think Jesus was the son of god or even that there is a god, there are recorded documents from the romans at the time which documented Jesus as being a real person.
Aidan Moretz, "there are recorded documents from the romans at the time which documented Jesus as being a real person." I would like to verify that. Will you please provide a source and explain what you mean? I am sincerely asking, by the way. By "explain what you mean" I mainly mean: How do we know the Roman documents are specifically about Him since His name wasn't actually Jesus?
Actually, the earliest Roman mention of him is from a historian, josefus or something I forget, 90 years after Jesus allegedly died. Also, there is zero evidence Jesus was a real person .
True. even if you don't believe (or refuse to believe) that he regularly cured the ill of incurable ills, and cast out strong demons, you can't deny that he was actually a person who existed. right, my Christian brothers?

Maybe I'm just ignorant of history or something idk. Either way, he's real to some people and to say he's "fictional" is to denounce an entire religion. Why isn't Muhammad fictional then?

Jackson Kellams he was a real person. Jesus is God in human form and there is proof of Jesus being a real person. Even atheists believe he was a real person
Jackson Kellams Jesus of Nazareth almost for sure did exist as a person, and was crucified by Pontius Pilate. The rest is all speculation.

The argument is inconsistent as people claim Jesus is a fictional character derived from but not limited to the following religions, myths, etc.:
Greek mythology
Egyptian mythology
Hinduism
Hellenistic Roman Paganism
Tons of other pagan religions
Zorotarianism
and so on...
He is, you stupid snowflake ❄

Have you ever looked at the evidence for Jesus' resurrection
@@michaal105 enlighten us please
@@michaal105 no and I don't care, I believe in Christianity because I have the right to believe in it
@@kaskso349 I was an agnostic for most of my life. When I was 17, I started searching for the truth regarding God and whether or not he existed. I researched the claims of Atheism, Christianity, and Islam as well as learning of a few others for about 6 months. By the end the conclusion was clear: Jesus Christ is the only truth. I only ask that as you read the remainder of this comment, please have an open mind and allow me to share with you a piece of evidence:
In my view the strongest piece of evidence is Jesus' resurrection.
To quote one such scholar - Pinchas Lapide: ''Jesus' death by crucifixion is historically certain.''
Historians agree that the tomb was indeed empty, for various reasons.
Some have theorised that they merely had hallucinations, but this isn't true for 4 reasons:
1) The theory does not explain the empty tomb
2) Multiple people shared in group-visions of Jesus
3) They had group-conversations with the risen Christ
4) They touched Jesus and ate with him, which is impossible with a hallucination.
Amen.

The Jesus answer was bizarre. It's usually considered established that Jesus existed historically.
no its not -_- ,
old scroll with name yeshua =/= concrete proof the actual yeshua in bible and not random people .
There are quite a few old scrolls mentioning the name Yeshua produced very close to his actual lifetime, a lot more than any other historic figure of that period outside of Augustus Caesar. Archaeologists don't really debate whether or not there was an historic Yeshua ben Josef and that he preached stuff.
@Mr. Don
It is, in fact, by experts, considered established that Jesus did exist. The leading atheistic scholar on the New Testament in the world (Bart Ehrman) dedicated an entire book to showing not only that he did exist, but that the proposition that he did exist is the majority opinion among actual experts based on the evidence.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Did_Jesus_Exist%3F_(Ehrman)
"The historicity of Jesus is distinct from the related study of the historical Jesus, which refers to scholarly reconstructions of the life of Jesus, based primarily on critical analysis of the gospel texts."
"While scholars have criticized Jesus scholarship for religious bias and lack of methodological soundness,[nb 7] with very few exceptions such critics generally do support the historicity of Jesus and reject the Christ myth theory that Jesus never existed."
The wikipedia article lists about 10 separate sources affirming both of these statements. Even Richard Carrier (the leading Jesus Mythicist in the world) admits the overwhelming majority of scholars are against him.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus#cite_note-voorst16-24
You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but denying that the majority position of expert historians is that Jesus existed is not recommended, as this is clearly and demonstrably false. The majority of experts may be wrong, granted, which puts you in the same camp as evolution deniers.
@bbraynt
"You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but denying that the majority position of expert historians"
and the evidence they provided was ? , let me answer it for you , old scroll scribble with yeshua on it and thats it .
saying "expert" over and over means nothing , and old scroll means nothing to collaborate the argument of the veracity of existence of person in the past .
example : someone found paper with word peter but its not conclusive evidence theres actual peter parker in spiderman .
theres no evidence only confirmation of an old scroll among themselves , and historian only ponder that there MAY be possibility that the story was based on actual person why else would it be written and thats it , NO EVIDENCE .
you are welcome to bring any conclusive evidence at any time but never bring argument based on *elitism* , its just stupid , no offense .

So Mohammed was a prophet and Jesus was a fictional character. But..... Jesus is written about and recognized as being real in the Quran.
But still jesus is not our god (muslim)
@@syawolf9205 I downloaded three English versions of Qurans and did a search function to see what the Quran says about Jesus (20 times called by name) and Mohammed(5 times mentioned by name). I was told that Muslims believe the Quran was written by Allah at the beginning of time, is this correct? If so, I'm surprised that the Quran surprisingly says very little about Mohammed. In fact one Chapter is called Mohammed, but if my translations are correct, it says nothing about him, just talks about his followers. Very surprising, why is the chapter called Mohammed?
@@tomgreene7942 dude can you go search what is QURAN FOR and if you want to know Quran telling about us ! That's the point
@@tomgreene7942 also Idc if jesus or anything about christian what's the important is ALLAH IS THE ONLY GOD now that's the point too
@@tomgreene7942 And you NEED to learn also about Mohammed before saying anything like its impossible bla bla bla you just dont get it
Artificial...YES. Intelligent... NO. Infected with the biases of her programmers... ABSOLUTELY!
Is influenced by wikipedia and google results. Many of Alexa's results are readouts from wikipedia
Coming from people who blindly support sexual assault and pedophilia, fuck outta here
As someone who works in low level development I can tell you that AI is in now way influenced by a developer. It’s machine learning
Alexa is only marginally AI. Is an NLP processor connected to google.
Is not fault of developers if Nazifascism voice on wikipedia states immediately the brutality, while Stalinism doesn't.
It's called machine learning, the programmers haven't influenced Alexa.
'Is Shaun King White?'
'I don't know that one'
'fair enough'
Alexa, is Shaun King also known as Talcum X?
“How dare you besmirch such a fine boy, I mean man!”
No one knows for sure LOL
"How many black lives matter activists have stolen you" 😅
Even if you don’t believe in Christianity and don’t think Jesus was the son of god or even that there is a god, there are recorded documents from the romans at the time which documented Jesus as being a real person.
Aidan Moretz exactly. There is actual proof that he was a real person, whether you believe in his miracles or not, he's a real person
But there was no documentation from jesus himself 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
True. even if you don't believe (or refuse to believe) that he regularly cured the ill of incurable ills, and cast out strong demons, you can't deny that he was actually a person who existed. right, my Christian brothers?
Hey, Crowder, I think you just accidentally proved that liberals are nothing more than programmed A.I. bots.
Jacob Sanders right, are you related to Bernie Sanders? My, that IS unfortunate.
Jacob Sanders why is it that everyone loves to group all liberals into one category, just because some liberals are extreme doesn’t mean they all are, when people group all liberals together it’s just downright stupid and shows how intelligent you are
Nils Dahlin I don't think liberal is a proper term anymore, leftist is a better term.
Yes, you criticize the term, "not all liberals" when the Republican party is the one that is more conflicted within its own ranks. Even the conservatives can't agree with eachother.
That's a simple one to answer: We are not a cult and do not adhere to a group-think mentality.
I want a right wing version of Alexa called Alexander
0161 Guess who's back Alexa Jones let's make it happen
0161 Guess who's back LMAO 😂🤣
lol
This comment is the epitome of perfection.
0161 Guess who's back Named after a founding father.
Dude it's nearly 1am... and my Alexa randomly went off because you said "Alexa" and I nearly shit myself
"Far Right" 😄 She wouldn't even define Nazi. Of course not.
"Alexa, how many black lives matter activists have stolen you" 😂😂😂😂
Only read the first line lmao
“It’s because they stole your memory”😂
Alexa is like having your libtard college sister home for the hollidays.
Taxation is Theft lmfao
LOL
Spot on been there going back for Christmas, can’t wait...
Liberal females should be chemically castrated.
Taxation is Theft I'm a liberal and I hate SJW's and yes, Jesus was obviously a real person. Also, the college liberal females like big red, those females in particular should be chemically castrated but not all, ShoeOnHead is a left leaning person and she's made tons of SJW/feminism debunking videos.
I lost all composure with the shopping cart at the end LMAO!
Jesus is a fictional character, but Mohammed is amazing? This is extremely disturbing
And terribly misinformed, since muslims believe in jesus xD
Jesus was actually a real person in history just the Divine powers are most likely fake
Some people believe that Jesus was real, but he didn't have mystical power. It's just one of the thousands of different interpretations.
I think the issue is that they said 'Jesus Christ', implying the Bibical version. Jesus of Narazeth definitely existed and you would probably get a different answer if you asked that.
She never said Muhammad is amazing, and yes Jesus is a fictional character b
Alexa:
Muhammad - Wise man
Jesus - FICTIONAL CHARACTER
This isn’t even subtle 😂😂😂😂😂
His Majesty liberals are scum.
She sounds like she has a gun to her head when asked about Muhammad.
to be fair, it's more probable that Muhammad existed than Jesus.
I'm an atheist. I don't care about any religious figures.
Philippe, they both existed...the question is were either of them Prophets (or the Son of God).
Jesus was fictional sunshine.
The'jesus Christ is a fictional character' bit after portraying Muhammed as not only a non-fictional character but also in a positive light, is quite chilling
Its chilling that a robot is reading Google results? Get a blanket or something ffs
Jezus also mentioned as Isha in islam is the second most important prophet in the religion😂👌
Nathan Manning Turkey it’s fake they did a command with saying SIMON SAYS (insert message ) if you have a Alexa try it right it now
Joee except they didn't- indeed they've released the full raw footage showing they didnt.
Oh the prophet was quite real and he married a 9 yr old girl as well as being a warlord.
This was great. Alexa is a terrible far left entity. Throwing mine away today.
