As someone who doesn't care about English vs Japanese, I personally really dislike the English version after getting used to the Japanese version. I think it's the way it's sang for me, just doesn't hit right.
Man what a magical song, the kind that just fills you with the warm fuzziez! I really wish more people would watch OG Dragon Ball, it's just as incredible as Z/Kai (I also wish people would stop making it a competition and debating over which is better, cause there both equally great in their own ways) and I feel like watching it makes the events later in the series feel all the more impactful, watching Goku grow up from this kind, goofy, naive and clueless boy who didn't know anything, to the kind, goofy, amazing and wise hero, as well as getting to watch the other characters grow up from kids/teens/young adults to the characters we know today is just such an amazing and heartwarming thing! Plus OG Dragon Ball is just such an incredible series with so much great humor, action, adventure, characters and storytelling! The show just has such a unique and wonderful charm to it! Seriously as someone who love's and respects both OG and Z/Kai I really recommend you at least give it a shot if you haven't, it's quite the fun ride! Anyways, this theme song does a top tier job at capturing the magic of the series, and you have done a wonderful job at recreating it GLADIUS, great job as always!
This is "Rising, Rising.. Mesmerizing" with of course "Unbridled Ecstasy". This opening and Rock the Dragon are the only themes I never skipped when I watched the next episode. Gladius you did it again man and thank you for your hard work.

No worries, it's the official rights holders behind the franchise who were firing on all cylinders promoting & marketing all things "Z" at the expense of the first series to an absurdly high level by the time most of us first discovered anything about the series so they really only have themselves to blame. And from the moment it hit the airwaves, too. Also, the US version by FUNimation is understandable because Harmony Gold already used the instrumental stem of the original 1986 version (arranged by one Kohei Tanaka known for scores like G Gundam, One Piece, GaoGaiGar, etc...) for their own dub of it when they had the license. Maybe there were rights complications or something. All that aside, this is truly fantastic, and it was always going to be your own re-arrangement of Takeshi Ike's original composition so it's no problem at all. Really cool how you got a trumpeter on the track too.

Okay, so... this is incredible, but now you absolutely gotta do Mezase Tenkaichi. Also the fights could be a perfect choice for one of your remastered videos with Mezase Tenkaichi, as the animation in those fights is seriously underrated, some of the best animation in the entire Dragon Ball saga.
I'm an 18-year old who wants to voice his opinion on Dragon Ball. Warning it may be a long speech :) I cannot stop listening to the english version, a piano version and this out-of-this-world remix of Mystical Adventure. I'll Give You Romance is stuck in my head too, all bangers. The show itself, same result can't stop watching. I am one of the few who watched the original first but my memory was vague back then being a kid. Roughly when I was 6, 7 or 8, don't really remember the year, my family and I watched short videos of the show on UA-cam. The watches were pretty successful for the first-half Goku Saga of Season 1 until the second-half Tournament Saga. Since the amount of video clips were lessening we sadly had to skip a lot of important events and it eventually led to watching clips of Dragon Ball Z. Although that did mean I would be in for a surprise watching the future seasons, having zero knowledge about the next parts of the full story. That's because my mum received DVD copies of all seasons as a gift last Christmas 2023. It was basically a gift for me as well since I wanted to get into anime (Three Houses cutscenes were the only anime I've really seen) and never fully completed the TV manga in the first place therefore it was a golden opportunity. It turned out that my mum used to watch Dragon Ball at its original air times so it was a big part of her childhood (Mine was SpongeBob but that's a topic for another time). She was shocked to learn that I desperately desired a way to watch it as much as she did, thinking that I played a part in purchasing the DVD's when I pretty much had the same reaction as her to the present. Both of us were in for a ride as we both would binge-watch the hell out of the manga. My sister and dad occasionally join in a few times but it was mainly me and my mum. I don't think I've ever been more excited to tune in to another show than this one. I would literally speedrun doing any other thing in the house just to watch this.That's how much I love it. An anime that starts off with a simple plot about finding Dragon Balls and fighting in Tournaments. The overall tone is light-hearted, has several hysterical moments and doesn't take itself seriously until some certain moments. To think that the whole chain of events all started as soon as Bulma ran Goku over with her vehicle. It's wild to see how much evolved from their first interaction. I think I'm confident enough to say that my favourite characters are Goku, Yamcha and Krillin. There's a lot of things about Kid Goku that I enjoy and makes him stand out as the protagonist. He's an innocent goofball that was raised away from the real world but has a kind heart and loves to challenge others in a fight, having no greedy intentions and no fear to fight anyone who wants to harm others, especially his friends. His confidence and determination to achieve his tasks are through the roof, when he has a goal nothing will stop him until he achieves it. He also loves to eat and sleep like a lot. What astounds me the most is his ability to unknowingly roast others with his brutal but pure honesty. It's also his confusion towards certain acts like not knowing what love and embarrassment is. It's literally impossible for me to ever get mad at him when I find his naive and energetic personality so cute. I wonder how many shots I'd have to take for every time he said 'I'm hungry' or 'I'm tired'. And his way of identifying which gender a person is always cracks me up upon rewatch. Lastly every person's reaction to his insane fighting prowess as soon as they underestimate him is hilarious. That's only the tip of the iceberg with the powers and skills he develops later on. Yamcha is a pretty cool dude. I don't know if anyone will agree on this with me but he reminds me a lot like Shang from Mulan in terms of looks and personality. Wolf Fang Fist is cool, his relationship with Bulma is cute and funny, his friendship with Puar is wholesome and his determination is just as strong as Goku's. I enjoy Krillin's sassy and overconfident personality. He always wants to be seen as Goku's superior while training and in fights has numerous arrogant ways of taunting his opponents whereas Goku's taunts are more friendly. One thing that'll never stop is the amount of insults he receives about his bald head like idk why this show had something against bald people XD. Also it's nice to see that Launch has a soft spot for him. If anyone replies, keep spoilers to a minimum because I am currently halfway of Season 5 so I've nearly made it to the finish line. There are some characters I know in Dragon Ball Z because I remember watching a few of the movies back then but don't remember. I know who Vegeta, Frieza or Beerus are but not their full story so I have to be careful on what I research I never knew who Akira Toriyama was but his passing made me appreciate Dragon Ball and respect it a tons more and I'm sure others like me are grateful that he has created an iconic series and franchise that's difficult not to know or have heard about. I want to one day look into his creation process and see how he made it come to life, this manga inspires me to try my hand at art and animation and create an anime so we'll see how it goes as I grow up. I won't be stopping after the original series, my mum and I hope to purchase DVD's of Z later on so the hype train's still going. I may be a late fan to Dragon Ball but it sure is fun to be one and I'm proud of it. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. P.S. Ironically coincidentally just finished the final episode earlier today and now I'm depressed🥲 The ending felt sweet enough for me to say that I was kinda satisfied with it's conclusion and keeps me excited for whatever adventures Goku and friends will have in the future. Time to say goodbye to this chapter for now. It was a crazy ride that I cherished every minute of :) I'll never stop listening to these songs tho, they fire❤🔥 I can always come back to OG Dragon Ball since I permanently have the DVDs and I just want to see Kid Goku again💙 I'm also currently looking for and watching some UA-camrs reactions to OG Dragon Ball, although these channels that I find also have them talking about Z or Super so I have to be cautious about potential spoilers. If you know any reactors that are watching OG first, it'd be wonderful if you could list anyone that fits that description. And apparently, there are a few movies that are set in the OG time period that come with some discs in the DVDs. The first one was called Curse of the Red Rubies and is a re-telling so it's not canon? I watched the first 4 or 5 minutes and Goku and Bulma's meeting felt rushed with some similar lines. Also their different voices feel so off in comparison to the many hours I have of watching and getting used to the OG voices🤨I'll give it a try anyway and I'll tell my mum about it as I think she hasn't heard of it. As soon as we finished the series, my mum immediately went to Amazon looking for DVDs of Dragon Ball Z lmao. I just hoping I could take a bit of a break before moving on ASAP since we both have different paces when we watch shows. Question: Does Son Goku mean Goku when he is a kid? It's kuz my mum doesn't think so and we have had a long argument about it. If it's a spoiler reason then you don't have to say. One last thing, I would love to keep chatting to you about OG Dragon Ball if you have the time because I want to talk to other people about it to express my cherishment for the series. Alright, see you OG Dragon Ball was an unforgettable and phenomenal watching experience therefore it'll hold a ginormous place in my heart. I'll be ready for Dragon Ball Z when that time comes.

OKAY, if you're doing requests, then I have an interesting one. I'd like to see you try to mashup "We Gotta Power" with "Son Goku is the Strongest After All"! They aren't too different, they basically have the exact same melody, almost like We Gotta Power is a Gohan version of the Goku theme, but I've never seen them both played in tandem before.

No worries, it's the official rights holders behind the franchise who were firing on all cylinders promoting & marketing all things "Z" at the expense of the first series to an absurdly high level by the time most of us first discovered anything about the series so they really only have themselves to blame.
And from the moment it hit the airwaves, too.
Also, the US version by FUNimation is understandable because Harmony Gold already used the instrumental stem of the original 1986 version (arranged by one Kohei Tanaka known for scores like G Gundam, One Piece, GaoGaiGar, etc...) for their own dub of it when they had the license. Maybe there were rights complications or something.
All that aside, this is truly fantastic, and it was always going to be your own re-arrangement of Takeshi Ike's original composition so it's no problem at all. Really cool how you got a trumpeter on the track too.

I'm an 18-year old who wants to voice his opinion on Dragon Ball. Warning it may be a long speech :)
I cannot stop listening to the english version, a piano version and this out-of-this-world remix of Mystical Adventure. I'll Give You Romance is stuck in my head too, all bangers. The show itself, same result can't stop watching.
I am one of the few who watched the original first but my memory was vague back then being a kid. Roughly when I was 6, 7 or 8, don't really remember the year, my family and I watched short videos of the show on UA-cam. The watches were pretty successful for the first-half Goku Saga of Season 1 until the second-half Tournament Saga. Since the amount of video clips were lessening we sadly had to skip a lot of important events and it eventually led to watching clips of Dragon Ball Z. Although that did mean I would be in for a surprise watching the future seasons, having zero knowledge about the next parts of the full story. That's because my mum received DVD copies of all seasons as a gift last Christmas 2023. It was basically a gift for me as well since I wanted to get into anime (Three Houses cutscenes were the only anime I've really seen) and never fully completed the TV manga in the first place therefore it was a golden opportunity. It turned out that my mum used to watch Dragon Ball at its original air times so it was a big part of her childhood (Mine was SpongeBob but that's a topic for another time). She was shocked to learn that I desperately desired a way to watch it as much as she did, thinking that I played a part in purchasing the DVD's when I pretty much had the same reaction as her to the present. Both of us were in for a ride as we both would binge-watch the hell out of the manga. My sister and dad occasionally join in a few times but it was mainly me and my mum.
I don't think I've ever been more excited to tune in to another show than this one. I would literally speedrun doing any other thing in the house just to watch this.That's how much I love it. An anime that starts off with a simple plot about finding Dragon Balls and fighting in Tournaments. The overall tone is light-hearted, has several hysterical moments and doesn't take itself seriously until some certain moments. To think that the whole chain of events all started as soon as Bulma ran Goku over with her vehicle. It's wild to see how much evolved from their first interaction. I think I'm confident enough to say that my favourite characters are Goku, Yamcha and Krillin.
There's a lot of things about Kid Goku that I enjoy and makes him stand out as the protagonist. He's an innocent goofball that was raised away from the real world but has a kind heart and loves to challenge others in a fight, having no greedy intentions and no fear to fight anyone who wants to harm others, especially his friends. His confidence and determination to achieve his tasks are through the roof, when he has a goal nothing will stop him until he achieves it. He also loves to eat and sleep like a lot. What astounds me the most is his ability to unknowingly roast others with his brutal but pure honesty. It's also his confusion towards certain acts like not knowing what love and embarrassment is. It's literally impossible for me to ever get mad at him when I find his naive and energetic personality so cute. I wonder how many shots I'd have to take for every time he said 'I'm hungry' or 'I'm tired'. And his way of identifying which gender a person is always cracks me up upon rewatch. Lastly every person's reaction to his insane fighting prowess as soon as they underestimate him is hilarious. That's only the tip of the iceberg with the powers and skills he develops later on.
Yamcha is a pretty cool dude. I don't know if anyone will agree on this with me but he reminds me a lot like Shang from Mulan in terms of looks and personality. Wolf Fang Fist is cool, his relationship with Bulma is cute and funny, his friendship with Puar is wholesome and his determination is just as strong as Goku's.
I enjoy Krillin's sassy and overconfident personality. He always wants to be seen as Goku's superior while training and in fights has numerous arrogant ways of taunting his opponents whereas Goku's taunts are more friendly. One thing that'll never stop is the amount of insults he receives about his bald head like idk why this show had something against bald people XD. Also it's nice to see that Launch has a soft spot for him.
If anyone replies, keep spoilers to a minimum because I am currently halfway of Season 5 so I've nearly made it to the finish line. There are some characters I know in Dragon Ball Z because I remember watching a few of the movies back then but don't remember. I know who Vegeta, Frieza or Beerus are but not their full story so I have to be careful on what I research
I never knew who Akira Toriyama was but his passing made me appreciate Dragon Ball and respect it a tons more and I'm sure others like me are grateful that he has created an iconic series and franchise that's difficult not to know or have heard about. I want to one day look into his creation process and see how he made it come to life, this manga inspires me to try my hand at art and animation and create an anime so we'll see how it goes as I grow up.
I won't be stopping after the original series, my mum and I hope to purchase DVD's of Z later on so the hype train's still going. I may be a late fan to Dragon Ball but it sure is fun to be one and I'm proud of it.

The ending felt sweet enough for me to say that I was kinda satisfied with it's conclusion and keeps me excited for whatever adventures Goku and friends will have in the future. Time to say goodbye to this chapter for now. It was a crazy ride that I cherished every minute of :) I'll never stop listening to these songs tho, they fire❤🔥
I can always come back to OG Dragon Ball since I permanently have the DVDs and I just want to see Kid Goku again💙
I'm also currently looking for and watching some UA-camrs reactions to OG Dragon Ball, although these channels that I find also have them talking about Z or Super so I have to be cautious about potential spoilers. If you know any reactors that are watching OG first, it'd be wonderful if you could list anyone that fits that description.
And apparently, there are a few movies that are set in the OG time period that come with some discs in the DVDs. The first one was called Curse of the Red Rubies and is a re-telling so it's not canon? I watched the first 4 or 5 minutes and Goku and Bulma's meeting felt rushed with some similar lines. Also their different voices feel so off in comparison to the many hours I have of watching and getting used to the OG voices🤨I'll give it a try anyway and I'll tell my mum about it as I think she hasn't heard of it.
As soon as we finished the series, my mum immediately went to Amazon looking for DVDs of Dragon Ball Z lmao. I just hoping I could take a bit of a break before moving on ASAP since we both have different paces when we watch shows.
Question: Does Son Goku mean Goku when he is a kid? It's kuz my mum doesn't think so and we have had a long argument about it. If it's a spoiler reason then you don't have to say.
One last thing, I would love to keep chatting to you about OG Dragon Ball if you have the time because I want to talk to other people about it to express my cherishment for the series.
Alright, see you OG Dragon Ball was an unforgettable and phenomenal watching experience therefore it'll hold a ginormous place in my heart. I'll be ready for Dragon Ball Z when that time comes.
