The Vision Jet really shouldn't be compared to twin engine jets, particularly on cost for fuel and such since it gets for lower numbers for performance, cabin size, ect. It's not really the same category of plane. It's performance is more like Turboprop but its' interior is more like a 172. yeah it uses less Fuel but also offers way less performance, cabin space, ect and only one engine compared to the other Jets on this list. It would be more fair to compare it to smaller single engine turboprops. The PC 24 is an interesting beast and it's own category as well. It's basically between a mid and light jet. No other jet offers what it does. If you want that cargo ability, the short runway ability, the dirt run way ability and want the range and speed of a light-medium jet, well it's the only option. So having it on a list like this is interesting but dubious. It is literally the most fuel efficient jet in it's class as it is the only jet in it's class. If you want or need the unique features it offers, you're not going to buy a different jet because it's a little more fuel efficient.
Fair enough. It really deserves its own category. Perhaps another comparison is due when more players enter that segment. Thanks for the great feedback!
@9:40, this is where Aviation Federation is disingenuous. The Cirrus has a ceiling of 310FL, but the climb rate is so pitiful that you’ll consume much more fuel climbing to 310FL before reaching optimum flight operation than other jets. Notice the Cirrus consumes 50 gal/ hr using one engine while the Honda and 100EV both consume only 80 gal/hr using two engines. This means Cirrus is not economical. Finally, the Cirrus acquisition cost is as much as the 100EV.
Flying a two engines is much enjoyable and safer while fuel consumption becomes secondary ...thanks for your vivid detailed information sweet princess.
*I think you need to compare apples to apples, and come up with a meaningful comparison such as miles per passenger hour or some like metric. For instance the Cirrus had no business on this list,. and I am not sure the PC-24 either as that is nearly a midsize jet. Just a thought. Thumbs up for effort!*
The only smallish jet I've been in was a BMI regional from abs to Man, that's from Scotland to Manchester England and it had a single row on one side and a row of three on the other but the favourite for me is the Honda jet
Wonderful comparison.I wish you add some features like wing span,Aircraft Height,Engine power capacity and Maximum Take off weight. If you add these features you will attract many people like pilots and Engineers
The Cirrus Vision Jet flies lower and slower than all others. It is cheaper to operate mainly because it has one engine to maintain and cheaper insurance. Since it is underpowered and flies lower and slower, the HondaJet will use less fuel per mile or per passenger mile. The Vision Jet has near identical cruise altitude, speed, capacity and price to the Piper M600 (or maybe M500) except M600 operating costs are a fraction. At least with the M600 you can walk into the sales office with 100 hours and PPL and they will cut you a deal to swap with a M350 while you build time to get insured on the 600. You’ll need some real experience to fly a jet. And really there is no point in designing a jet that does not fly fast and high, because a turboprop will always be cheaper in its speed range. Really the HondaJet should be the winner because it flies highest and is reasonably fast. If there was a single engine turboprop with a much bigger engine than the Epic1000 to fly even higher and faster, then it would settle the issue on efficiency once and for all.
I like the Honda, it seems to have a lot of innovation built in, for an aircraft like that sips fuel like an accord and at least in terms of private jets it's priced like a Honda honestly for that price you can get a turboprop king air or the Honda and go faster and higher and use roughly the same amount of fuel
The Cirrus Jet shouldn't be compared with the others since it's a single engine plane. Of course it'll sip the least amount of fuel because of it. Now with that being said, at a max altitude of only FL310, you're right in the weather while all the others will be above it. Not to mention it's hideous looking.
2 Brazilian planes in the top 5. Embraer is definitely a powerful player in the sector. The honda jet is very ugly with these unattractive engines positioned!
No one but fools worry about CO2. The UK from 1750-2020 foot print is ten times less than China from 2010-2020. If you measure the CO2 in standard classroom the CO2 level will be between 1500 and 2000 ppm without any effect on those in the room. Just my opinion based on fact.

The Honda jet really added competition to this market with inovation.
The Embraer Phenom 300E service ceiling is: 13,716 m (45,000 ft) not 41,000 ft.
Thanks for the feedback! Updated specs in the description box!
this was good video like the embraer phenom 300e aircraft.
Thank you for watching!
Impressive list for small jets. Thank you.

Nice.
The Citation CJ3+ and the M2 are also very fuel efficient.
Love u guys
Honda certainly made an impressive debut with its first jet! Hopefully they will introduce another larger model soon.
Impressive, indeed! I wonder if Honda’s engine/wing configuration can be adopted in a mid-size jet or larger. It’s such a unique design feature.
Honda announced they are working on a larger version of the Honda Jet. They featured a mock-up at the press launch.
Love it
thankyou

You should include a section for used private jets as well... I like the Beechcraft Premier
Great suggestion!

I've been a pilot for most of my life. Not once have I heard pilots discussing how much CO2 different aircraft put into the atmosphere.
Wrong, the max range for the Pilatus PC24 is 2400 NM. Not just 2000

Piaggio P180 flies faster, as high, cheaper, more passengers, and longer range.

There’s really still much to say about the Honda Elite! Might just do a head to head comparison with another VLJ soon. Thanks for the comment!
I like the Honda jet, but I can't help seeing a duck face on it...LOL. The Cirrus is like a civilian fighter jet, it looks like great fun.
Pretty accurate!
