Freshly cooked useful production tips from your boi!
Ahhh there's nothing like the fresh smell of cooked up microphone in the morning

YO THE THAWING NOISES
Oh snap it's Unlike Pluto. Your track Jolt was excellent. Eternal Sunshine is one of my most favorite movies so it was cool to hear a track inspired by it.
Everything black
Everything you need
My man, you gotta do more twitch streams!
PLUTOOOO!!
My therapist: ASMR Andrew doesn't exist, he can't hurt you
ASMR Andrew: * P e P e R o N i *
I laughed so hard at that
that part seems so familiar but I can't remember what video it came from
@@semilin It's from PIZZA MUSIC.

I definitely laughed way too hard at this
You're like a painter that paints with anything other than paint.

Except the guy can actually paint too. Life's not fair

You forgot the * ✨ *
*smack*
Good luck with ur busy day tomorrow
Andrew: omG listen to this sound of this guy getting out of bed, I could make a track out of this
The drums with that gated texture totally blew my mind! Going to have to play with that one.
facts same
There's a plugin called Texture by Devious Machines that does it all for you: it has noise presets, it has gating, and it has built-in eq
next video: processing sound recorded in Lava
👀
Oh sht! Now he has ideas to do it🤯
@@andrewhuang In theory you could dip a hydrophone soaked in water into a pot of molten lead 200 degrees above melting point. There's this thing called the Leidenfrost effect that will protect the microphone from getting burned to a crisp as long as water's still on it. That's one way to record that stuff at least.
@@owendubs 200°F or °C
kind of an important and enormous difference
@@Booskop. 200°C but specifically 193°C (379°F) and anything above that
I cant stress enough how much the monthly class helped! Anyone thinking about doing it I definitely recommend it!
So glad to hear that!
Nice Cavetown profile!

Sounds from boiling: Not as cool.
...I see what you did there.
wink
Woah, you can actually hear those tiiiiny bubbles move around at 4:27, this is so awesome :D
Imagine if Andrew made an asmr video where he actually does amr but he makes a track thats super quiet and relaxing and chill. Not gonna lie that would be dope as hell
he actually did do that a few years ago
he did! ua-cam.com/video/g3uzzbRJtDU/v-deo.html
I am watching some dude freeze a mic at 11 pm. My life has changed significantly over the years. THANKS ANDREW :-)
try 3 30am lmao
This guy takes sound design to another level
I have been refreshing my subscriptions for an entire month. Thank you for the video.

Yessss Andrew Huang is wayy more entertaining to watch AND has lot of cool stuff!
Now realize that Andrew went out of his way to make ASMR about PIZZA, FOR US. HE DID THAT FOR US. Thank you pizza ASMR Andrew for that. :D
I mean... Kinda? It is from an older video.
Haha!
Yes
This is a psa.
There is an extremely underrated artist known as Eliminate who can do some pretty unique things with literally anything. This man deserves to do an episode of 4 producers 1 sample.
Thank you for listening to my ted talk.
This is the second time I discover a random great musician through random shout-outs in Andrew's comment section.
Omg yes!!!
love eliminate!
eliminate in a 4 producers 1 sample vid would be so sick
Girth gang wassup
You're a such a bright soul, my dude.
Listening to the frozen mic thaw out was the ultimate ASMR
Sounds like when you have a infected ear drum that ruptured and is leaking ... I'm very familiar with that sound
Colorado Fish Guy- yikes
Colorado Fish Guy oh dear, sorry bro
Man the creativity, he heard something that sounded like a crackles, and made a beat with it!
Why is no one talking about Andrew donating 10,000 bucks to charity? Damn, the Canadian is strong with this one.
Ear Rapist I mean. I guess. I don’t really care. Just making a reference to Star Wars...
I’m Canadian & Born on Star Wars day so yeah...
@@ryanzea7196 he's just an amazing person, everyone knows that already
um stop
5:32 this sounds so FRESH!
Andrew is the only person that can turn boiling his belongings into an educational, music video
What a fun video! I kinda already missed these old funny abstract music experiments and now this comes out 😍 :)
5:10 to 5:50, probably one of the best 40 second electronic music video (interlude) moments of our times. This is why I follow you, man. Just brilliant! 👌😂
Oh man I need a full version of that ice thawing chill beat pls
it's frustrating how easily he turns anything into a chill beat
4:22 American horror story 😂😂😂
Gotta say, your cinematography in this video is on-point! Great ideas and great execution. I'm not sure how UA-cam orginally got me here, but I'm so glad it did. Kudos, Andrew!
I love how your videos contain so much more than just whats in the title. There are so many little things you can get from this. Awesome stuff!
I actually use all the tips and information Andrew gives, thank you💜
this man brings a sense of life to music that I can't even explain, it's so intriguing

I very much appreciate that you saying "here it is with a little bit of clean up and processing" at 5:20 was in time with the beat.
Side-chaining your noise gate to the drums to let in the texture was genius!! It brought the drums to life!
just the amount of effort you put into your videos for us, let alone the creativity in all your tracks, amazing 🙏🏻
*5:32** that's one FINE theme*
Andrew you absolute madlad. This is dope
The sound was actually extremely unexpected. And the little song that came of it... not even gonna start 😂
Another nice vid bro. The way you processed and made the beat for the water melting with the mic inside was dope.
Dude, you don't get enough credit for your video work. Those macro shots are F I R E !
Woah you are very musically talented, I didnt even pick up on the ice melting having some sort of beat. I love the creativity you have for this as well! Glad I just found your channel!
It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos. It’s nice to see you’ve still got the charm.
6:47 "I feel like those sounds were not as COOL" AHAHHAHAHA GET IT
The mic uncashed in water: *exists*
WizardYensids mic: *are you challenging me?!*
I love you so much! You are so wholesome and pure! You make some of the best content on UA-cam! Your music is AMAZING!! Thank you so much for every video you have ever posted!! Your content has helped me through MANY dark times in my life. I love you and appreciate you more than you'll know. You have been the inspiration behind so much I do with my music. I've learned most of the best tips from your channel. Thank you. You're doing a wonderful job! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🦄
Wow that texture really adds a lot to the drum loop. Also the melting ice sounds were just awesome.
quality is yet again so on point
The mic experiments are super cool and the filming is crazy. Andrew is amazing!
There were some beautiful cinematic shots in this video, nice
GEEEZ the production quality is INSANE here! Superb job!
Next episode: Recording on a microphone submerged in water at triple point
That gate technique is so cool! Simple yet genius. Why did I never think of that?!
I recently started trying my hand at recording "found" sounds... my first attempt was using an almost-empty plastic bottle of honey, and recording the sound of the "flarp" sound as the the surface tension of the honey breaks when the honey is replaced in the nozzle by air. I didn't get far with it as I'm still fairly novice level at this, but it's something I'd love to see Andrew do since I am confident he'd do a better job of it than I.
Andrew: **knows a lot of things about music**
Me: *ah yes, music is made out of music*
Andrew: *posts a video*
Me: 6:12
"homeless black trans women fund" aw shit I didn't know Huang was THAT cool! I mean, I knew he was rad, but damn. Good choices!
This was an amazing video! Those frozen sounds are so cool. // Thank you for bringing up those orgs, donating, and being part of this moment in history! much love
6:46 - "not as cool", you can't beat the ice, baby!
The plant speaking 😂 “mmmm thank you Andrew umumumumum”
My jaw literally dropped at 5:05. That is an amazing sound! Also the beat that you heard is evidently not the same beat that I heard... fascinating!
You seem to be so advanced when it comes to sound design. Probably one of the top producers out there. It would be a fun challenge to see you create vocals purely by sound design from scratch. No samples or microphone by any way. I think it would be a fun challenge
Those melting sounds sounded like an avalanche! And I loved the beat you made with it!
6:28 Yoo that sounds like an angry enderman
You are an inspiration in many ways. Plus I no longer want to toss all the cheap mics I’ve accumulated over the years. Stay safe and happy.
U all good bro? We missed u. So glad to see you back in my notifications
You are really making the most quality content of this kind on youtube man.
But where is sparkle mountain?
"You" is nice btw...
I really appreciate all the effects work that went into that ASMR bit :D
You honestly make me refall in love with production everytime Andrew, so excited to see some new experiments on here!
That's a really cool microphone! The thawing noises could be really cool on a dubstep track.
such an awesome video! and you just get nicer and more lovely as time goes on, donating to all those causes is the total best
Andrew, im really fascinated with all of your content, you inspire me and excite me to somehow make something as good as you someday.
So grateful for that last minute or so, and to learn that you are raising funds, donating to solid organizations, and encouraging both action & dialog around these issues. I hope more people with platforms such as yours take an active stance, as well...I can only imagine the impact that would have, and as a music educator in VERY complicated state of North Carolina, I am grateful that you're helping to create a safer, more inclusive space for learning. ⚡️🔥⚡️
Immediately thought of "the VAPE's" HOMEMADE NOISE TUTORIAL EPISODE 72001 boiled microphone
Dude's a legend.
What about setting it on fire? 🔥
@Mean Timbits WHat about FIRE
Hah! Cool to see you gating the noise with the drums. I did that in a track of mine called Pensive, where the drums gate a recording of a stream running, resulting in what sounds like little splashes to the beat. Still one of my favorite songs I've ever made.
The ice thawing was SO cool. Great alien kind of sound. The boiling was also super interesting, very staticky.
No one:
4:45 Literally everyone when you’re playing among us on discord
thanks for not shying away from the social stuff. you rock
Thank you Andrew for lighting my world up. I wanted to tell you about this but never had the chance. I am a highschool student and now I just want to dedicate my life to music. Thanks again for giving me a dream.
Simply put (AndrewHuang = PureGenius)
that little jazzy thing you made with the beat was actually so v i b e y
Really loved this video. The part about adding textures through noise really makes me remember Burial, because he does that a lot, and that's part of why his music is so unique, specially his drums.
andrew huang + field kit. you love to see it :) though after watching this now i just want a hainbach collab even more
Imagine having a musical mind like mr. Huang over here? "Yeah, I just messed around with shifting between radio frequencies... That'll be a nice texture!" or "Yeah, so I thawed a block of ice with hydrophone inside it, heard something I liked. A few hours of *DAW magic* later, a throwaway chill beat appears..."
The ice melting reminds me a lot of the sound effect in GONNER
4:41 kids when you knife them in a call of duty gun game
Dude the sounds from when the ice was melting sounded so fucking cool!!
Just a Beautiful, intelligent, creative, entertaining person. You Rock Andrew, Thank you for being you.
Quick plugin tip
Noiiz makes a filter that also has some foliage samples in it that are automatically gated to whatever you put the plugin on, it's very easy to use, sounds awesome on drums and best of all it's free!!
Put it in the water before you turn the flame on! Boiling water makes neat sounds as it heats up before it boils fully.
Very cool to hear about the charity stuff, both the money you're already donating plus the matching Andrew.
I got an ad for Andrew Huang before watching Andrew Huang...
Trippy
In this video, Andrew shows that he's musical Sherlock and can detect music ABSOLUTELY ANYWHERE.
This was super creative! The ice beat was dope!
Falling rain? What else does rain do? Fly? Float? Run?
I love how there's a solid couple minutes of tasty production tips before jumping into what the video is primarily about, yass
