Absolutely. Apart from the brilliant storytelling and video editing, the exposition of the creative process and instrumental/sound layering is beautiful to behold - and thos chord intervals certainly do give it a sense of openness. Truly excellent.

"That 6th flavour" you're referring to is VERY reminiscent of Joe Hisaishi, a composer from Studio Ghibli. Like, fond but melancholy memory. Beautiful and sweet. A happy memory that makes you a little sad. It's dreamy flight. Anyway... I paused the video to comment, lol. Thank you for this. It was a random click for me. The music during the chopper ride, using doggie sounds was flipping unbelievable! 4. And then the crescendo. Recording in a crazy windy and freezing setting. A place where the average person's brain would have frozen and be unable to think, let alone be able to talk properly with frozen lips. You persevered and produced magic. Well done!! Beautiful 💗

Andrew, this is the first I've heard of you, thanks to a link from a fellow follower of Kina Grannis. This is, by far, the best "Story of" and "Making of" video I've ever seen. The whole is overwhelming. Had me in tears. Yes, I'll go back and listen to the song without the video. But not yet. Not this week. I want to soak in what you've created here. The video production values are off the chart. Every tiny, minuscule, itty-bitty bit works. Even the "talking head" did well. Love the vid. PSA: for those listening to the music as part of the overall experience (hopefully everyone is) YOU HAVE GOT TO EXPERIENCE IT ON A PROPER SET UP! The dog sled song was awesome, killing it. Part of the reason I really like this channel and other music production channels, is the attention to upload and sample quality. Sounds awesome on a full home theater system in 2.1 or studio setup/hifi stereo. Andrew making UA-cam sound good. P. S. Living in Alaska, I relate to your experiences in Canada. That was simply the most beautiful thing I've ever heard you make Andrew. The lyrics, the music, the story and the stunning imagery of nature truly encapsulated everything you meant for the listener to feel. This might be one of my favourite songs for a while now. Thank you Andrew
I love the crystal clarity of the light tone clusters in the opening piano chords. I find they always feel like ice/snow, great for the inspiration of the song.
not only is your music production so professional, but this looks like a full on production that requires a whole crew and youre just there in your studio going crazy and living it, big ups

I started working on a software because of you, I had always been worried about never being able to record my music but you made me want to explore things. So I’m sure you’ve made so many people feel the way I do, capable of doing something, anything. Thank you ♥️ for being an inspiration for so many!
the insignificance and gratitude you were feeling comes from feeling an interconnectedness with the land. The land is magical that way. This is the way of the indigenous communities throughout North America and it makes me happy to hear you express it. As long as you can feel that, there is hope that our souls will one day be able to be comfortable roaming this Earth again. Appreciate you Andrew!
This song is incredibly beautiful. I think it may be my favorite of all the songs you've ever written. And the visuals to go along with it! I'm on the verge of tears❤
Andrew, i think this might have finally displaced Never as my favourite thing you’ve written. everything about the process of how this was written, how it evolved, how everything just serendipitously lined up to lead to the finished song *recorded on the dang lake itself* is just so tremendous. i’m a long-time lover of Lake Louise myself, and it’s been a place full of really special memories every time i’ve been there. this song really captured it on a pretty mind-bogglingly complete level. thanks for sharing this with all of us. you’ve made something here that’s not just musically significant, i believe as a Canadian that it’s *nationally* significant as a piece of truly Canadian art.
I couldn't be the fountain or the trees... ...in the place where love is inseparable from fear Those lyrics hit me straight to the heart. Thanks for sharing this song, Andrew!
That really did sound inspired. I loved how it builds up to an epic sound, then come back down to something intimate again. I've been binging your videos for a while. It inspired me to install a DAW i bought a year ago, and after a 10+ year hiatus, I'm back to making music. My skill level has already surpassed where I was when I stopped, largely due to the things I've learned watching your videos. Thank you for making this series, and for being in inspiration.
Been following for a while Andrew, and I must say this is beyond awesome. = ) Alberta needs to use this in a promotional video for this very amazing place. Someday I hope to visit!
You are a true inspiration. Aside from the fact that 3 years doesn't justify this song... But now I understand the value of a quality song and why so many people otherwise tend to focus on gear and technique in place of it.
If someone told me "hey, one guy recorded a studio quality song on the frozen lake" I would think that he's joking, but you really made it, WOW! The idea for the song was brilliant and I also like that you made this BTS video, I really enjoyed it. I don't know if you also did the editing, but whoever edited this video made truly amazing job. I really miss more high quality content on UA-cam (don't watch my videos, lol 😂) and this is something that I really enjoyed. Thank you Andrew (and all the guys that helped with this project)!
This is actually so good, Andrew! I think I remember you asking at some point in the past whether or not we care about the amount of time you put into your songs. I think you asked if knowing that they were so quickly made took the 'magic' away from them. I think there was a similar concern about whether or not you take the magic away from music by showing us how you made it. This video you showed the full version of the song, and THEN explained it to us. I think that's the best way to do it. Also: there's no way you didn't notice the artifact at 15:46 from your autotune. Assuming you left it in on purpose, why did you do that?
just listened to it, oh my god it's so beautiful... everything about it is just so mesmerizing, possibly the best song i've ever listened to. wonderful work!
I hiked around Lake Louise when I was a young boy about 49 years ago. Got hand it to the Canadian’s, it is as beautiful now as it was then. Great song Andrew. Love your work and your explanations of how you paint your sound scapes. Thank you.
This song made me tear up a little. I remember when I was on holidays in Canada, I paddled onto Lake Louise and the sheer quiet and size of everything around me was just daunting. Makes me miss Canada and everything I did there. Can't wait to go see it again, and I'm glad we share love for that amazing place.
I worked out there for a while and this song right here perfectly captures how the place made me feel. This is the most beautiful song you've done yet!
That song perfectly encapsulates the essence of Lake Louise. It’s a very beautiful and grand lake. I’ve only seen it once in the summer, and it was absolutely amazing. I instantly fell in love with its waters.

Those lyrics hit me straight to the heart. Thanks for sharing this song, Andrew!
That dog-lead-synth is godly
That really did sound inspired. I loved how it builds up to an epic sound, then come back down to something intimate again.
I've been binging your videos for a while. It inspired me to install a DAW i bought a year ago, and after a 10+ year hiatus, I'm back to making music. My skill level has already surpassed where I was when I stopped, largely due to the things I've learned watching your videos. Thank you for making this series, and for being in inspiration.
This. This is why I love Andrew Huang.
I cried. If I cry from music, that means that this music is the masterpiece from start to finish and I love it. Great work.
Assuming you left it in on purpose, why did you do that?
im curious about the pitching as well
Wow, I'm on vacation in Banff right now! Cool coincidence!
Banff is so expensive
I left banff like two days ago
just listened to it, oh my god it's so beautiful... everything about it is just so mesmerizing, possibly the best song i've ever listened to. wonderful work!
This is the best video on UA-cam.
ma boi
Andrew: “isn’t nature incredible?”
Nature: Yep...
That song perfectly encapsulates the essence of Lake Louise. It’s a very beautiful and grand lake. I’ve only seen it once in the summer, and it was absolutely amazing. I instantly fell in love with its waters.
That was...spectacular. This song sounds the way nature makes me feel. I’m completely blown away.
