Andrew, this is the first I've heard of you, thanks to a link from a fellow follower of Kina Grannis.
This is, by far, the best "Story of" and "Making of" video I've ever seen. The whole is overwhelming. Had me in tears.
Yes, I'll go back and listen to the song without the video. But not yet. Not this week. I want to soak in what you've created here.
The video production values are off the chart. Every tiny, minuscule, itty-bitty bit works. Even the "talking head" did well. The song is certainly special, but this presentation of it is like, well, a colorful egg in the center of a most beautiful Easter basket.
    So many thanks!

Besides the song itself this video is a masterpiece of creative editing, well worth a notable mention of its own. Fantastic work that I'm sure even Peter McKinnon would have to take his hat off for. Well done.

When I first saw the music video, I found this absolutely astonishing, but now, it’s no wonder it‘s so awesome (which doesn’t even come close to what it actually is). Also, the way you casually make multiple songs in one video around the whole thing. This is perhaps the best video I’ve ever seen!

Usually when people make videos like this it always leaves me feeling deflated as i know i am not that talented and probably wont ever be. But somehow, Andrew has always managed to capture things in a way that give me such gratitude for the things i CAN do and what i COULD be. So strange how he can switch my perspective so effortlessly.

Love the vid. PSA: for those listening to the music as part of the overall experience (hopefully everyone is) YOU HAVE GOT TO EXPERIENCE IT ON A PROPER SET UP! The dog sled song was awesome, killing it.
Part of the reason I really like this channel and other music production channels, is the attention to upload and sample quality. Sounds awesome on a full home theater system in 2.1 or studio setup/hifi stereo.
    Andrew making UA-cam sound good.
    P. S. Living in Alaska, I relate to your experiences in Canada. We also have a lake Louise! I wish everyone in the world could experience it at least once!

Andrew, i think this might have finally displaced Never as my favourite thing you’ve written. everything about the process of how this was written, how it evolved, how everything just serendipitously lined up to lead to the finished song *recorded on the dang lake itself* is just so tremendous. i’m a long-time lover of Lake Louise myself, and it’s been a place full of really special memories every time i’ve been there. this song really captured it on a pretty mind-bogglingly complete level. thanks for sharing this with all of us. you’ve made something here that’s not just musically significant, i believe as a Canadian that it’s *nationally* significant as a piece of truly Canadian art.

The idea for the song was brilliant and I also like that you made this BTS video, I really enjoyed it. I don't know if you also did the editing, but whoever edited this video made truly amazing job. This is actually so good, Andrew!
I think I remember you asking at some point in the past whether or not we care about the amount of time you put into your songs. I think you asked if knowing that they were so quickly made took the 'magic' away from them. I think there was a similar concern about whether or not you take the magic away from music by showing us how you made it. This video you showed the full version of the song, and THEN explained it to us. I think that's the best way to do it.
Also: there's no way you didn't notice the artifact at 15:46 from your autotune. Assuming you left it in on purpose, why did you do that?
