Personally I LOVE that we can send a pantless guy in a jean-egg to perform a song called "no rules" to Sweden to show the middle finger at the juries 🤣
i was at the arena and people were absolutely LOSING IT to this song! definitely the most entertaining stage show and Henri's vocals were great. we know we're not going to win this year so we just collectively decided 'fuck it' and sent the funniest thing we could. it's still a high quality song in its genre (90s europop) and the guys have been doing loads of promo - they seem so excited for Eurovision.
The denim egg was everything 👌 Our absolute favourite ❤ When he was reunited with his shorts, the magic happened. 🎉 I need more of this in my life. It's uplifting and fun, and I can just imagine a large number of the audience wearing denim shorts! The public will love it. Also just want to say, Finland know how to put on a National Final - amazing production again this year 🏆
The performance is completely iconic. The song itself is great but the performance is just perfection. Love his voice, the persona of Windows95man is iconic and he himself is just the sweetest, the singer’s voice is incredible, I love the backing beat, I love the 90s vibes, the lyrics are completely insane and amazing. But damn that performance is iconic. I love how everything around him for half the performance keep you guessing if he isn’t wearing pants, the vocals are insane live, the dancers are insane, their confidence is off the charts, the staging is off the charts iconic and I love how when the pants are put on that is just as ott as possible which I love. The pyro moment is also epic and a cherry on top to an already insane performance. This will easily qualify from the semi easily and may even win it and this will get an easy top 5 with the televote but will struggle with the juries which is not that bad when you have such an iconic entry tbh. Absolutely adore this entry after a second watch this performance is perfect and the song is so insane and I totally love it. An easy 9/10 for me, so overheated by the fandom!!!
The fandom are in an uproar and need to CALM DOWN. This is a good song! The performance is iconic, vocals great by Henri and the staging hilarous! And the fact it won the televote is proof that the Finnish loved it! You cant say you want the system changed after just saying you wanted to get rid of the jury because you didnt like the result!

Is it going to win esc? No Do we care after last year? No😂😂😂 (none of the songs would have tbh). I personally voted once for cyan kicks, but not mad about this result either. I was wondering between ck and win95 (and maybe Sara). But i thought that Sara's fans would have voted for her much more. (I like the name win95. Maybe he should change to that. Finnish people of a certain age understand that. "95 nevö foget", history written❤)
@aqua3890 yeah, it was a struggle to get through at one point. Of course one could have phoned or texted. I just didn't wanna pay. :D I usually call, that's the easiest way to get votes through without a hassle. But I am satisfied with the result anyway. Even more when I hear someone complaining, I mean expecially some creators. And I mean really really complaining. Like really really really complaining saying things like "this will hurt esc reputation, or umk's reputation". Gosh, those people need to chill down. 😎
It's a stereotype, but the truth is that it's more like what windows95man says, that all Finnish people are crazy "deep down inside" and he wants them to feel free to bring it out, and that's the message of the song. Even Cha Cha Cha last year reflected Finnish culture in a similar way, because the song was about people who seem reserved most of the time break free and become more fun when they drink a lot and stop thinking about it so much. It seems silly to non-Finns but both of these songs are expressing something very real for Finnish people!
I just found that comment under another video and I think it helps a lot to understand the wonderful craziness which you just witnessed. 😄 "This song is an anthem for being who you are 🎉🎊 Love the message and also how it combines the Finnish Kalevala where the world is created from the eagles’ egg, In the stage performance the singer Henri represents the eagle (see the similarity of the movements and the clothing) and the Windows95man is born (as all humans) naked only wearing Kalevala inspired boots. The stage coordinator tries in the middle of the song give the rules to our hero but he puts the instructions flying in the air. He wants to be free and who he is despite what the others try him to be!" Have fun with it 😊
Im from Finland and i was wondering where i heard it before...and then i heard that he Is one of the dogs in Paw Patrol....now i just see the dog in my head when i hear this...
All songs were mediacore so the one with the most entertaining show won in the end. With 75% televote party songs will always win, specially after Käärijä last year when so many younger people are now following and voting. I voted for this one, I laughed so much while watching while other songs didn't really impress me that much. Like people have already stated, none of the songs were winning material so doesn't really matter what we send? Better have some fun and give people entertainment than send a dull song.
Going in, I was rooting for Sini Sabotage, and while I'm gutted for her that they won't represent, OMG, Windows95Man is just bonkers, high camp and I hope it does very well indeed.
On the surface this seems like just another chaotic funny-song on stage on first watch, but the staging actually has so many clever details (easter eggs 😄) and everything is quite well planned. Windows95man is just artist name he has had for a long time and has nothing to do with the song really. And his "brand" is kind of that shirt and jeans (which is why everything is covered in denim). And the song has important message too, "do not care about what others say about you and do what you want to do". That egg could refer to the birth of the world in Finnish mythology and he is born from it in the beginning. Which is why he doesn't have pants at first and then gets them on later. We had shirtless men for two years in row so why not pantless one too. The ropes that bring down the pants are eagle-shaped (there are eagle sounds in the song). Also the dancers/the one audience person are intentionally blocking the view to his legs untill he gets the pants, and that really requires precise camera work. And the "no rules" does not really refer to being pantless, but instead to when he talks to that "director" person and throws away the papers and then starts playing with the pyros when he gets his pants. For me the song is good and very catchy (and one of the best songs chosen for Eurovision so far this year), but its one of those songs that some people are just going to hate 🤣. I voted for Sara Siipola -Paskana, but she did not sing very well live so i can see why this won instead of it. This is not really Käärijä copy, its more of a big middle finger to Sweden and juries from Finland 😎.
I hadn't really been following the Finnish national selections this year and just earlier today read on the ESCYounited forum that apparently there's some sort of drama surrounding the fact that the "fan favorite" lost. First of all, I did give a listen to the supposed favorite and kill me, but I don't understand what people see in that song. It's not even a particularly good ballad. Secondly, and more importantly, Windows95man won the televote and got exactly 40% more points from the public than Sara Siipola, so clearly she was not the "fan favorite". People seriously need to grow up and acknowledge that their opinion is not always going to match the majority's opinion 🤷♂️
You know as long as EV doesn't change their voting rules (pun intended xD), Finland will never win. If they didn't win with Kaarija last year, they can't win with anyone, I'm sorry. This song is fantastic. The performance was amazing. To me, it's a top 5.
International jury's ranked this last :D so Finns were quite the opposite. Only UK gave 12 points. I liked Sexmane which is strange, I don't normally like that kind of music. Also this Win95man was good cause it was so different than the others and world needs some laughter, happiness and joy right now. This definitely made me smile through the whole performance. Otherwise I didn't really like the qualifiers this year. Yle forgot that "something for everyone", was missing variety. It didn't really matter which one winns cause none of this doesn't stay in my head.
This performance was absolutely mental. I preferred Sara Siipola but I did enjoy this one as well so I'm not mad at all. I do think the televotes will vote the hell for it but juries will drop it down massively

on a personal level i’m disappointed. i feel this embodies the negative stereotype eurovision has in ireland and the uk. i really thought eurovision was moving away from songs like this and becoming more serious, original and about musical talent. really expected more from my rock loving finns who i nearly always have in my top 10 but out of the countries i rank this year i think they’ll be last this shows why a 50/50 system is needed. why have a jury if their last place is just going to win? it’s not like they landslided tele either. this is really unfair and discouraging to actual talented musicians in finland and around europe. this man can’t even sing he had to bring someone else on the track to actually have some vocals while he just yells “king queen slay” in his underwear trying to take a slice of kaarija’s fan base.. the most upsetting thing in all of this is in the 100% televote semi, they’ll likely get through which is taking a place from an actual talented, authentic musician who put their heart and soul into their song. I’m not saying every song should be a ballad i love a good unserious entry but look at konstrakta, kaarija, eastern european funk from 2010. these were authentic. these were talented individuals a lot of them bringing a message. they had their own concepts and they took a risk. this for me is “clout chasing” and all i can say is i’m happy it’s not the host entry sorry that was a rant and a half but it just bothers me as an (irish) eurofan seeing entries like this it’s taking our credibility away
No way. Juries should not be able to get in the way of what the voters want. Finnish voters especially dislike the juries and want to send entries that reflect Finnish people's tastes, rather than worry about what snobby juries will think. That's why this song, that captures that exact feeling, struck at the perfect time for Finns. Even though the jury hated this, the Finnish people loved it so much that the jury snobs weren't able to stop them, which is exactly how it should be.
This is stupidity. What the F values Eurovision is taking direction. Is the Eurovision stage going to be disco club for Pete sake. Where is the pure true music. Shame

@@jijitters Finnish peoples's tastes? Paskana is literally the 2nd most streamed song in Finland today
As a Finn now I am ashamed. Don't get the fun in this, just plain bad. Sorry to see us Finns giving up on Eurovision.
It's not a better song, it's a parody with an outdated sound, only Eurovision fans get excited about a mediocre song like this
And like it also because its crazy and silly. Thank God for juries
This is stupidity. What the F values Eurovision is taking direction. Is the Eurovision stage going to be disco club for Pete sake. Where is the pure true music. Shame
your reactions are too positive and not balanced. you lack any kind of criticism.
Terrible song😮🥺
This is just terrible
