Canes are one of the softest teams in the entire league. Cement is in their gloves. They are too scared and spineless to actually drop the gloves and fight. Just a bunch of coward bear hugging like they are Peewee level players. One of the reasons they lost to Florida in the 3rd round last year is because they have absolutely zero toughness.

I don't like either team, I'm a Bruins fan, but in my mind Jordan Staal is up there with the likes of Bergeron, Pavelski, etc. Great hockey players and even better leaders.
He sets the tone in the Hurricanes locker room for sure. Staal sets the work ethic and Slavin probably is behind the attitude of the team

Was there last night...it was amazing with the penalty kill...such a defensive game...the fight at the end and the Panthers not leaving the ice just showed how real this could get in the playoffs.

Florida is going to find out this year what happens when a healthy Svech is in the line up. Last year FLA got lucky that Carolina was down 2 40 goal scorers come the 3rd round.
