I relate to him with the parents being frank about your choices... I think everyone can. I love listening to his voice and what he has to say. He's very articulate (And relateable)!

Hail to the KING ! Been listening to this remarkable man since TAL began in 1965. His voice is so comforting to me. I think he's absolutely terrific. Long live the KING.

Can't believe he's 58 now. Seems like I just started listening to him in the early 2000s when he had just turned 40. He looks so young too.

The last few minutes are very interesting... there's some squirmy leading questions, but Ira diffuses and unmasks them simultaneously without being combative.

Book Ira referenced that he read in college Symbiotics class is "S/Z essays" by Roland Barthes. Had to do some searching, couldn't quite catch name, but found it and ordered it.

Ira sounds like a 20 year old college student, one of THE best voices and shows on the radio.....bar NONE

Ira thinks he's old, but those of us who ARE, remember pre TV when there were plenty of entertaining radio shows, and unlike Ira's experience of radio in the 70s (music, sports, news, bible-thumpers) we heard shows for kids, comedy, drama, mysteries, detectives, thrillers, westerns, soap operas. True, there wasn't anybody telling stories, as there are now, thanks to Ira and offshoots. But even before my time there was Bob and Ray, who did satirical news. There is a LOT of radio history.
