Saiyan armour is made especially elastic hence why it stays on during their transformations, it was made with that in mind. They address it in the namek saga in the original series but wasn't mentioned in abridged.
@@aliasliam9728 it actually was kind of mentioned in abridged when vegeta was taking a shower at Bulmas he told her "don't wash them those are dry clean only they'll lose their elasticity"
8:51 Yeah Saiyan armour is made to be durable, stretchy and flexible so they can transform into Ozaru's withouth having the need of getting a new armour every time they transform, and due to it stretchiness and flexibility it fits any kinds of bodies. Unlike Gohan's clothes, in the anime and manga he ends up naked but they put pants to him in the game for obvious reasons.
You'll meet Launch if you guys ever watch OG Dragon Ball. She made it into a very limited amount of episodes in DBZ, but it was always more of a cameo in filler episodes than anything else. Apparently Toriyama forgot she was even a character and she just stoped existing 🤷♂
DBZ:A didn't really focus on Gohan's fight with Vegeta but it's impressive that he held his own while Goku built the Spirit Bomb, Vegeta was tired from the most strenuous fight of his life of course, but still. Even Piccolo was like straight up I won't survive a minute with Vegeta during the initial battle when they were having trouble ganging up on Nappa. And yes Friendship in DBZ follows kindergarten rules, just beat their ass on the playground and then welcome them to the squad. Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, Buu, another character I won't spoil.
Believe it or not, Puar's a guy, not a girl. There were some lines in earlier translations that referred to him as a girl, but Toriyama himself considered Puar as a boy, and even more recent translations like Super have referred to him as such.
To answer your question: Jiren is not evil. The only reason why Goku used it on Jiren was because he was all out of options. Goku already went all the way to Super Saiyan Blue Kaiokenx20 and used his Kamehameha but nothing work. The Spirit Bomb was a last-ditch effort. Also, the Spirit Bomb used against Buu wasn’t just from Earth but from the entire universe which is why there’s a big difference in size.
The mental image training is actually a thing in Dragonball and Krillin did teach Gohan how to do it. Frieza also said that he did it a lot in hell during Dragonball Super. Krillin didn't get the idea from the dirty mag, he was just trying to sidestep explaining what he was doing to a five year old.
One thing I wish Dragonball games would do when they make you fight bosses the protagonists canonically lost against is to simply make those fights the hardest ones and give you the normal progression if you lose and an alternative path if you actually manage to do well. Beating bosses in the gameplay but struggling in the narrative is an awkward disconnect too many of these games have
Launch is a Dragonball Character primarily but even then she kind of fades out towards the end of Dragonball. The Spirit Bomb can more easily be focused on those with evil energy however what it is primarily is a gigantic energy attack. You have to remember something that King Kai said which is that if Goku had lost *control* of the Spirit Bomb it *will* destroy Earth. A planet is not evil or good, but it is a massive object this means the Spirit Bomb does not truly discriminate but those with pure hearts can manipulate it more easily. The Spirit Bomb though is not easy to fully explain due to... a certain game series and Cell... it's a very... dicey matter.
Launch was around for most of the original Dragon Ball, but only briefly at the start of Z. Toriyama kind of forgot she existed or her dual personality shtick got old to him.
For some reason my comment gets deleated but imma try one last time. Spirit bomb CAN harm people of good heart if the opponent is stronger, Kid Buu was able to push it back due to his strenght if it wasn't for Dende's wish Goku wouldn't have had the energy to push it back at him and he would have died yet again. Goku chose to use it against Jiren out of desperation, my man used every move, attack and transformation not even Kaioken x20 was doing smth at that point he just said "fuck it if it works it works and if it doesn't i was cooked anyways"
Unnecessary profanity and / or harmful language - regardless of intent or context in which it's used - is usually what gets comments caught in the spam filter.
No, it's just that Team Universe 7 was exponentially stronger than they were in the Buu Saga. Not to mention 17 and 18 put forth massive amounts of energy for the attack because they don't run out of energy.
King Kai warns that it would still blow up a planet if Goku wasn't careful. Just because it's supposed to specifically destroy evil doesn't mean it isn't a massively powerful energy attack. Also, as it's proven later in Z, Gohan is pure of heart. I doubt just anyone without massive amounts of power like Frieza, Buu or Jiren could just stop it.
Well Jiren doesn’t actually possess evil, u like that alternate story in dbx2, he just has a very strict g sense of Justice however, he’s one of those characters that can’t full grasp the meaning of what Justice is
Franky explain this For Goku in Dragon Ball. Peapole Change and he can redemption Power and Strenght not Change Peapole. But Mercy or Empathie can. Why it's Tenshin han , Piccolo , Vegita, Buu Buu change
Yeah, most people forget that Gokus original planet sized spirit bomb was actually barely bigger than a volley ball.

Jiren might not be evil but he's still not pure hearted enough to not have ANY evil hence the spirit bomb would still work on him.

Well I say simply but in voiced games you need to write and record alternative dialog
Not on this game tho

2:38 this is the last time i will do anything cool/relevant in the series
there is no joke

Would have been odd to have that hair gimmick stick and also have super Saiyans

Saiyan armor is flexible guys
Regarding Jiren and the Spirit Bomb, I'm sure the writers forgot about the whole evil energy thing when they got to the ToP.

No they didn't, its just that Goku couldn't beat Jiren in any way he could think of.
