And this is the epic shit I miss when I turn attack animations of *facepalms* next time I play DD2 I'm turning attack animations back on (pretty much after seeing everyone's special attacks I turned them off). For those tag team attacks were the shiznite.

Ah. That turned out to be the issue, though I found that out on my own. Once she reincarnated into a Blue Mage, she started learning Star Spells as well... I'll likely change her back to to the past tiers to learn the higher-level spells. ...Unless I can do that with a Prism Mage.
