I just got back into BeamNG after 7 years away. The career mode is awesome -- it kept me in Beam longer this time than my entire previous play time (about 5 hours before). The RLS career mod makes it even better for now, until the next official update (at which point RLS will probably keep expanding the modded content to fill whatever hasn't officially released yet, or other original content). But man, I got rid of the repo forks as soon as I could. When it wasn't my own skill issues, it was the AI clipping my repo target and knocking it off the forks. Also had some physics jitter moments that may have been additional skill issues, or maybe just BeamNG things. $24k to upgrade my H-series van to a tilt bed for towing was the best money I've spent in a few days in career mode. :D No fuss, no muss. With vanilla repo cars, ShiftTabAuto from the RLS team said that race cars are the way to go. I've picked up Bollides and Scintillas for $20-30K, but their race variants can pay $90K to $120K. Also, someone on the RLS Discord told me it's risk-based -- the faster we deliver, the higher the payout (I saw a screenshot of a Scintilla repo that paid $237K). Though overall repo is a bit OP currently and is intended to be slightly nerfed in their next update.
Yes for anyone who does not know this if you were ever towing a manual vehicle put it in neutral and it'll just roll don't do that with an automatic though if you're towing an automatic vehicle either lift the drive wheels up or take the drive shaft out
Yeah, early on after I completely bottomed out some D- and H-series trucks trying to haul heavy stuff, I make it a habit now to bump all my shocks and springs up to ultra or super heavy duty.
@@dakaodo pretty much, one thing to note (which I didn't mention) is the frame. "Quick story" There was a MD-series needing towing (one of the heavier ones) ,using one of the scrawniest D-series that the delear had to offer was used. The repo arm was fitted, and nothing but the suspention being raised up to maximum was changed (it was only just a tune , no upgraded shocks or nothing). Went to tow it and there was still some squat to it when lifting (make sense ,all i did was increase spring/shock height) Main thing was the engine was v8 diesel (Pretty punchy) was still struggling. Once I finished the delivery and set down the MD. There was literally a physical bend of the rear end of the frame 💀and I just thought.....was it that heavy??? Repaired it ,done another mission. Done like 4 more of the repo with some lighter cars, then came up with another MD, wondering if it'll happen again. Turns out it did , had to upgrade to a heavy duty frame (and at the beginning ,I thought upgrading it was pointless 🤣)
All that driving makes repo missions not economically viable. One end of the map to the other, making money only one way. You can make more money grinding cargo... EDIT: Any vehicle with the repo plate can be used - rollbacks, flatbeds, T-series for big trailers, etc...
@@bglvortex9837 I'm familiar with it if the wheels wich are driven are suspended on the repo thing the they shouldn't or else the car will fall and in addition to that in real life you should secure them. So I'm very well familiar with it
@@myacidninjatheamazing1025 I meant that the driven wheels should be lifted so you can either put it in gear or in park so that way the car isn't going to just roll of if the car has all wheel drive you put it in neutral and use the handbrake to lock the rear wheeels.
For me the repo attatchment didnt work as vehicles kept falling off so i got a mod called “bag trailer” and bought the trailer for like 10k and it works really well for cars and anything else just cycle untill you find a car
So when you near a vehicle you repoing you can actually hop out or your truck and get into the car that you repoing that was it is much easier to get it on your repo truck or rollback trailer
When Towing....engage the Parking Brake and tow with Rear wheels to avoid having car roll out of the repo arm
Man I needed this earlier, thanks so much I was having so much trouble with this.

7:08 You could put a neutral, when car is rwd and manual 😉

Heavy duty suspention should help with the towing for sure.
20:46 why you bullying the AI 😂😭😭💀

True
I find renting car for movies much better option
You should put the cars in park if you tow them so the wheels which are up don't move.
no you tow in neutral or it destroys the transmission and if its a manual, will overrev the engine
you should stop commenting about things you arent familiar with

@@bglvortex9837 and why are you so angry?
I reccomend switching to dually, using a diesel engine, and adding weight in the front
