I'm planning to work for Disney animation. This video is very helpful and informative about what it's really like. Thank you!

as someone who decided to pursue an art career after years of doubt i find video's like this so helpful and informative. ive been grinding this past year to learn as much as i can about this industry and what it takes to make it. If you're like me and couldn't afford college and feel/felt your work isn't there, DONT GIVE UP! keep learning, practicing, and trying new things with your art. doing nothing will get you nowhere. it will take time and there will always be someone better then somebody, but that doesn't mean your art isn't valued!

      Thnx man!
I'll admit, as a major in digital arts at community college, I've felt like my art isn't always the best. I just graduated high-school, 2 years ago in 2022. I took a gap year afterwards and then just starting college in September last year around my 20th b-day I'm definitely interested in arts and will continue to pursue art but I've had times where I think my art isn't good enough since I've grown up with animation most of my 20 years of life so far.
So long story short I appreciate your words and hope you do well too!

Thank you! Finally some much needed animation content. A lot of animators watch this channel too guys.
Atlantis was actually one of my favorite Disney movies particularly because it's wasn't your typical Disney princess movie.

Thank you for the video Film Courage.
@13:20, I have a feeling he was talking about The Kingdom of the Sun, which later became The Emperor's New Grove, and the changing of the villian's motives or story?.. Yzma..

What did you learn about Disney?

Appease the shareholders I think is the concern today than in Walt's day as commander. I think a lot has changed. It's not the same Disney.

I still have never watched Home on the Range, and that's both because I know how badly it was received, and because I have no interest. I have a feeling if it had been done in the 40s or 50s it might have done rather well. Disney did a lot of shorts and some features with talking animals. Of course the story would be from a different perspective. The writing and gags would be different. I also sense the tone of the film would have been a bit quieter and contemplative like Lady and the Tramp sometimes was. But by 2005, a movie about talking cows saving the ever endangered farm isn't quite going to grab you, unless its completely batty and absurd like Odekerk's "Barnyard" was for Nickelodeon.

Absolutely. I've watched nearly every Disney film but not Home On The Range or Chicken Little cause they are the gaggingly painful death of Disney's hand-drawn animation, minus PatF, and the breached premie birth of Disney's CGI that did get to where it needed to be, but not immediately. Disney has many strengths, the media it's made during its changes are not one of them
