    Great video. Thanks. One of my teachers said she knows of doctors who have missed the correct spot two or three times. She also said that when she does a female, she takes two catheter kits; if she gets the wrong location on the first try, she leaves first catheter in place,so she knows where not to go on the second try.

    My book (Sauders) indicates that when urine appears/flows out, we advance the catheter another 1-2 inches before inflating the balloon "per manufacture's direction" ...FYI

    When should you drain the catheter ? 1/2 Or 2/3 full??

    Im confused i thought you inserted the balloon with sterile water that comes in a pre filled syringe that comes with the kit. Has things changed?

    Great review!! I thought it was water that gets inflated in the balloon. Perhaps, some of the models allow air instead of sterile water.
