Well done. Low profile and about as flexible as you could ever hope for. I'm hoping its available for two door JK's.
So they basically made their own version of the Front Runner Silmline rack but made it way easier to add accessories. I'm good with this. I love my front runner rack, but their system of screws and channels is not a great way to add attachments. I would probably buy this over the front runner rack going forward because it solves my main issue with the slimline.

Very nice arb... Would be nice if you could do like alu cab tent or similar to lock it and take it off when not using it.. I'm in the market for doing something like this.. of course on fj cruiser.
Hi Arb, I wish I need a new rack but my old one has not worn out yet. I’ve got one of the first or prototype ARB rack made for a high roof 60 series Toyota back in the 80s. Its even still got the ladder with it. Maybe when it wears out I can upgrade. Regards Alex

Not at the moment for the modern dual cab utes in Australia. We will have one for the single cab 79 Series.

Hi Andres, we will have a 1545mm rack length available for 4Runners from 2010 on.
I thought you weren't supposed to put much weight on your roof. What's the weight capacity for one of these?
It is always recommended to minimise weight high on a vehicle, however the roof is a practical and safe place to store many items including gas bottles, jerry cans, Hi-Lift Jacks, Awnings and spare wheels, which otherwise would not fit within the vehicle. The BASE Rack is rated 25kg for every beam, e.g. the 8 beam version is rated to 200kg. However, the BASE Rack will likely be rated much higher than what the vehicle or canopy's maximum roof load is. It is up to the customer to ensure they only load their vehicle's roof within its own limits and safely to suit the type of driving they are doing.

Can you mount a roof top tent weight 75kg, on this rack and go offroad?
Hi Richard, the BASE Rack can accomodate up to 25kgs per beam (both on and off-road). So for our smallest (5 beam) rack there is a 125kg load rating, and for the largest (8 beam) rack the load rating is 200kgs. So regardless of which rack you choose, you should be able to easily accomodate your roof top tent - just provided your vehicle's roof is rated for 75kgs plus the weight of the rack. Cheers.

Hey there, we will be working on adding this information. For a LandCruiser 200 series, the BASE Rack adds a total of 50mm from the standard roof line. 60mm for the LandCruiser Prado.
ARB4x4 so that is the rack and mounting bracket in total sits only 50mm from the roof? If so that is brilliant and I’m buying one!
From the highest point of the roof, (naturally it ads more at the ends off the roof line the curve downwards)

The BASE Rack is mounted to the vehicle via a series of vehicle-specific mounting points, which either utilise fixed points in the roof, or in the gutter runners of a vehicle. Cheers.
What is the off-road weight limit please
Hi there, because the BASE Rack has been designed for off-road use, the off-road and on-road weight limit is the same. The load rating is 25kgs per beam, so for our largest (8 beam) rack the weight rating is 200kgs, while for the smallest (5 beam) rack, the rating is 125kgs.

I would love to purchase an ARB rack, but the USA distributor seem to be confused by Land Rover Defenders....even though ARB uses them to promote their products.
Hi John, The USA will have access to the rack and I am sure will be able to organise you the appropriate mount kit for your Defender!
