  • Epres VS Olaplex | Which gave me better results?
Hey guys! When I saw this new Epres bond repair was being released by one of the creators of Olaplex I knew I had to try it!!! I know there is some drama regarding how "involved" this person was in the creation of Olaplex and obvi this is half shady but hey the product is nice 😂. Have you tried Epres?

Just a follow up on the Epres: it comes in a box with the vials and spray bottle WITH instructions. You only use ONE vial at a time and fill the rest with water to the fill line on the bottle.. Shake and then apply and let it sit for 10 minutes and then go in your shower and use your regular shampoo/conditioner. It is an awesome and super easy Pre-treatment. 10 minutes allows the product to work, you don't need to let it sit any longer. Typically one vial will cover about a month worth of use. It is recommended to be used 1-2 times a week. They also offer a vial refill only option once you buy the starter kit with the spray bottle. Hope this helps!

I’m so glad more people are reviewing this I need more info before I buy but it seems to be really good.

Same!! I'm actually shocked I felt a difference since k18 did nothing for me and Olaplex hasn't wowed me for a while (even though I keep using it for some reason 🤣) If there's an option to just buy the vials I think you could use whatever spray bottle to save money. The mist on the bottle is nice but I don't think its necessary.

I too got good results with Epres smoother softer less flyaways. I left it on 30 minutes.

I saw an interview with the creator of epres and he said, that it works best if left for an hour.

yes i found out from the epres people that you can keep left over mixture in the sprayer for up to 2 months. i get 3 uses from a single vial. 😊
thank you for this honest take on it because ive been searching for more reviews.. there arent many since its so new.
personally ive seen improvement but i still have breakage and dry brittle hair at the ends from chemical, mechanical and heat. im hoping in time it will keep getting better because i agree, id so much rather do the simple epres over the pain in the ass olaplex. plus olaplex says to get the 0 to apply before 3 but then you have to saturate with that little squeeze bottle, let it sit. then re-wet hair to apply the 3 which apparently only works till the hair is dry. once its dry the olaplex stops working. the epres however will continue to work. i personally like to saturate with the epres, let it dry (and it will look oily) and sleep with it in.. then wash in the morning.
in any case... again i loved your honest review. i hope you are able to update after further uses.

Omg thank you for this!!!! Happy we can use the vial for an extended period of time. I too was surprised more people haven't reviewed it, I'm sure more will come within the next few months. I've really been enjoying it!

Have you been using both Olaplex and Epres lately? What are your thoughts after all this time? Just subscribed and binged-watched sooo many of your videos lol

Aww thank you so much!! I stopped using both because I'm pregnant and dont know the research on that, but before I switched from olaplex to epres. I felt like olaplex wasn't doing anything to my hair anymore. I also tried k18 which really sucked for me lol. After I deliver I think I'm going to try the Redken acidic bonding concentrate!

Olaplex always needed to be used on clean hair. I’m just mentioning this because I’ve been hearing people say the same thing recently when in the beginning it’s was always on clean hair.

Yes! I tried this and it didnt change much for me but also the process of needing to wash my hair first, get out of the shower, bla bla is a lot for me lol. I think they should revamp their instructions so people can get the best results, but I just found the Epres to be a lot less work and more effective on my hair 💕
