This video is an example of why running a GBBR is not for everyone. This comment is not meant to offend you but rather to inform others that knowledge is key before buying a GBBR regardless of what platform it is.
The particular one in this video is a WA derived system. WA system is probably the oldest GBBR platform there is and therefore has the most info out there. This being WA derived means that some areas have been improved over the original WA design. The main cons listed in this video are:
1.) Trigger guard housing breaking off
    2.) Leaky magazine
3.) Hopup adjustment and hop effectiveness
Before addressing the issues, i'd like to point out that the OEM is JG / Golden Eagle. Meaning, the parts arent made of great quality potmetal. So here we go:
1.) Potmetal receivers, specially one that is made poorly will exibit poor strength. Since JG has been around for a while now, its safe to say that you did get one of the lemons. But this being at the price point that it is you pretty much expect compromises. Buying a new receiver is the only option.
2.) Leaky magazines are common in the GBB world. This is also part of GBB maintenance. Seals need to be greased, not oiled. You need to very that the mag works first before you being to disassemble it and grease the seals and o rings. Again, do not use silicone oil for this. Grease is the way to go. When storing your mags, make sure to inject about 1 second of gas into each to prevent leakage.
To add to this, mechanical parts such as the FCG, bolt carrier, and nozzle all need to be properly greased as well. Explosive enterprise (an airsoft youtube channel) has guides on how to maintain GBBs and GBB magazines. They recommend using PTFE grease but I personally use lithium based grease since i cant get a hold of PTFE ones.
3.) Hop up adjustment should really be done before the game even starts. Hop up setting is one and done if you do it right. This is regardless of power output. Inconsistencies might be brought about by poor stock bucking and this is common on GBBRs. Upgrading the bucking is a must on cheaper GBBs like this. Also, overfilling magazines will introduce liquid gas into the system, effectively freezing the bucking. Charging about 6 seconds in 1-second bursts worth of gas should be sufficient. Regarding the hop adjustment on JG/GE rifles, from my research it seems that there are 2 ways to adjust the hop, assuming you have the version that uses AEG barrels and buckings. You can adjust it through the breach with an allen key. Again, do not adjust your hop while playing. Use good quality BBs for consistent performance. When reloading your mags with BBs, consider refilling your mags as well.
This is why i say knowledge is key to running a gas blowback setup. You need to know the ins and outs of the rifle before even thinking of fielding it. Proper maintenance is of utmost importance. And of course, knowing how to operate one is also important. This is regardless of manual of arms. Im talking about not dropping mags, being mindful of not inducing double feeds, checking if bolt bounce is too much, proper long term storage of mags, frequent checks on wear patterns on working parts, cleaning and regreasing at regular intervals etc.
For people who are interested in GBB/GBBRs, i invite you to join the HRC discord channel. There is a wealth on information there to make sure you are running your GBBRs properly. Again, this is not to offend you in anyway but rather to educate others

@@bluelinepatriot most people dont recommend buying these rifles unless one has prior experience with more expensive and better built GBBRs that are derived from the WA system. Imo your main problem is the receiver breaking. You can replace the receiver with aftermarket WA receivers. Even if they are the way that they are, they still do have a place on the market. Albeit not for beginners

@bluelinepatriot to add to this comment. Use non-lubricated gas to prevent the need to mess with the hopup mid game.

Yeah in the airsoft world, it's a lot more practical and cheap to run an AEG. I have quite a few and for gaming they are pretty great BUT if you get a GOOD gas gun they are the best for realistic training.
I have a GHK m4 and it has been amazing and can run with best of them. No dicking with hop up needed. Just tune it for whatever weight bbs you run one time and you're good.
The ghk mags did need some work on the feed lips to load easier due to Taiwan having slightly smaller than normal bbs but after that small mod they kick ass and will fire about 45 rounds on one gas charge, so if the mag is gassed up and loaded you will blast all 30 with no velocity change at all.
All in all AEG is so much less bullshit and just work, but man... gas guns are so fun and as close to real as it gets you just gotta spend the big money to get GOOD gas guns and your opinion will definitely change on them.
See if you can borrow a good one if you know anyone with one

Yeah. For training you have to go with the GBBR, a quality one. I only have one Aeg in my collection, a Valken. Everything else I have is gas. And other than the S&T that I own, I spent the money to get the quality. Agree with you 100%.

co2/pcp guns are your next best options if you're looking for realism. They're super consistent and reliable compared to gas guns. Unfortunately, they aren't as popular as gas guns in airsoft. They're more so used for hunting small game and plinking.

Yeah that is a starter gbbr. And i agree with all that you said About it. It is not a quality gbbr. I have a VFC/ Umarex/ Eliteforce. HK 416d gbbr. Much better gas system than the WA system that the S&T uses. I've had it 3 years and it still functions like new. Better hopup easy adjustment. Higher fps and serious kick. The only issue i had with it, is locktiteing the allen head screw that holds the firing pin assembly down. And that is it.

@@bluelinepatriot Some of the high end gbbr's can cost as much a real firearms. And as a gun owner, we tend to think, "well if it cost that much I'll just buy a real firearm". But do you really need another firearm, or a quality training rifle? Personally for me, I have enough firearms. There may be others that I like and want, but don't really NEED. So I bought the GBBR substitutes of the real firearms that I own so that when I don't have time to hit the range, I can do some training at home. VFC is a great choice when it comes to gas efficiency.
