I HATED that song with a passion! But Dave Arch has done a gorgeous arrangement that allows us to hear the beauty of the lyrics that I had never even noticed before.
When I’m on my marathon of rewatching the pro dances, this is always the one I come back to. I love this one so much. The emotion, the song being performed so incredibly beautifully and and dancing will astound me always. I could never get tired of this incredible piece.
It's amazing how changing the tempo of a song can impact thoughts and feelings. The dancing was emotional with each dancing putting their heart and soul into it. Very respectful to the fallen and those who protect us today. May they rest in peace.
Such a beautiful, emotional tribute and you could see that everyone was putting all their heart and emotions into it. Tears in my eyes again on watching it a second time. Well done to all involved.
I'm watching this 6 years on and still feel the same as I watched it the first time. Beautifully choreographed, beautifully executed, and the song is just perfection. I'm balling my eyes out!
Words fail me - just a perfect tribute. Wonderful choreography, costumes and super-charged with emotion. If you are not moved by this, (especially the ending), then you are truly devoid of empathy ...
This is the best pro dancers routine...I’ve truly loved it so emotional but I enjoyed it....I love this version better than original.. it was cleverly thought out and put together.!
One of the best pro dances..... I love this song, but to hear it sung like this put so much meaning back into it, and the dancing was spectacular. Well done! Almost in tears at the end.....
Much credit to whoever choreographed this spectacular routine. I’ve watched it a few times now and every single part of it is so awe inspiring. Thank you so much. So much talent - the costumes, the staging, the music, the dancers, and the idea. I wish we could have a documentary about how these group dances are made. They are my favourite part of Strictly
Absolutely loved this. I won’t moan about the Clifton’s taking centre stage once again because in all honesty, they did a truly phenomenal job. Loved the beginning especially the part where the girls dance with the poppies. Also, they somehow took an annoying song and made it emotionally beautiful ♥️ The only thing I wasn't impressed with was all that stuff on the treadmills. That in mind, still a lovely tribute. Well done to the Strictly team 👏🏻
Did anybody else notice Karen's little sniffle at the end, the fact the she was dancing with her actual husband and thinking of loosing him was clearly very hard on her emotionally. I as general rule loathe the Cliftons but Karen did brilliantly, Aljaz and Jeanette could easily have taken centre stage on this one as well but I don't think Jeanette is capable of the same emotional punch that Karen delivers.
If someone said that they were paying troubled on Remembrance Sunday by doing a dance routine to the proclaimers I’d think they were taking the piss, but that was brilliant and very moving.
This dance was so moving, so poinant, and full of emotion. Well done all the pro dancers involved in this dance for Remembrance Sunday. Lest we forget !!! We WILL remember them !!! 🏵🏵🏵🏵🏵
Wonderful choreography for this remembrance day tribute dance. The slowed down version of the song made me listen to and appreciate the lyrics, and the dancers' were all amazing. Very emotional and moving.
My grandad fought in ww2 he was in the RAF he was shot down 3 times and walked away each time. He sadly passed away at the age of 92 he would be 100 3 days before Christmas. We miss him every single day. My brother and boyfriend are both in the British army so it kinda runs in my family
penny and fishy A modern take on Remembrance Day. Normally choreographers goes for the 40s Foxtrot, Charleston, Lindy Hop type of dance, not a contemporary-rumba hybrid angle...
I wouldnt say it was emotional, but it definately was beautiful. When i heard the first lyric i was terrified as to how the dance would be, as all i could hear was two scotts singing da da da daaaa! However, the music was done brilliantly. Very well done!
As lovely as this performance is I realized when the BBC introduced pro-dancers-only routines that the non-pros still made the performances hreat too (when there were mixed routines)
Loved the dance! It actually had me in tears at the end. But I feel the song was a bit poorly chosen. Although the lyrics are ok, everybody just connects them with the funny, bubbly original song
I hate that song.A very strange choice for such a serious theme.I like Kevin but imo he is always just slightly before the music. Its like he cant wait for the next move or the music.
Massively disappointing, mundane choreography, gimicky in the extreme with the treadmill sequence and absolutely awful and completely inappropriate choice of music. Such a shame for the pro dancers whose talents were not shown at all.
I was at our village Remembrance Day ceremony for my son who was killed in Iraq and my great uncle who died in the Great War so don't lecture me. It was a poorly choreographed and thought out dance and it is in no way disrespectful to say that.
I have listened to that 500 miles song many times but I have never heard it performed as emotionally beautiful as this.
John Payne totally agree stunning performance
It's the first time I've ever actually thought about the lyrics and what they mean. Beautiful song when done like this.
I HATED that song with a passion! But Dave Arch has done a gorgeous arrangement that allows us to hear the beauty of the lyrics that I had never even noticed before.
Bit late but have you ever heard Sleeping At Last's cover? Gives me similar vibes to Dave Arch's arrangement and is absolutely gorgeous.
@@asmin9927 yes I have
Beautiful as well
Should be released as a single

Beautiful, possibly the most moving pro dance ever an the show❤
I agree
Agree, expert
Still my favourite pro dance to this day. I love this song, but never have heard it as beautifully as this.
Such a beautiful, emotional tribute and you could see that everyone was putting all their heart and emotions into it. Tears in my eyes again on watching it a second time. Well done to all involved.
Every time I watch that it makes me cry, it is such an incredibly beautiful dedication to all those who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice
I'm watching this 6 years on and still feel the same as I watched it the first time. Beautifully choreographed, beautifully executed, and the song is just perfection. I'm balling my eyes out!
I could watch kevin and karen dance for hours on end, they're honestly phenomenal.
Flawless, moving tribute. We take these dancers for granted. They are supreme artists.
Still one of my favourite pro dances ever and one I would happily watch again and again.
One of the best pro dances..... I love this song, but to hear it sung like this put so much meaning back into it, and the dancing was spectacular. Well done! Almost in tears at the end.....
Wow just heart wrenching .. Well done to choreographer and dancers . One of the best performances

The Last Homely House East of the Sea Yeah it would be really good to have an idea of how they come up with them. Their craft is so impressive.
The choreographer is Christopher Scott.
Karen White thank you!
This brought several tears to my eyes. Powerful.

True, Karen has always been a great actress. She really amazed me in last year's Halloween pro dance.
@its.me - do you think people deserve to be liked by virtue of their mere existence?
Because you're wrong.
If someone said that they were paying troubled on Remembrance Sunday by doing a dance routine to the proclaimers I’d think they were taking the piss, but that was brilliant and very moving.
mikeykm1993 what how
@@rebeccat7005 what do you mean by 'what how'
Forget all the jives and and the pasos and the sambas, this is my all-time favourite Strictly dance. Thank you to Karen and the rest
This dance was so moving,
so poinant, and full of emotion.
Well done all the pro dancers
involved in this dance for
Remembrance Sunday.
Lest we forget !!!
We WILL remember them !!!

Absolutely stunning. Simply breathtaking.
This pro dance is so moving so beautiful loved that one
Incredibly beautiful and moving dance I shed a tear or too
Wonderful choreography for this remembrance day tribute dance. The slowed down version of the song made me listen to and appreciate the lyrics, and the dancers' were all amazing. Very emotional and moving.
simply stunning, very powerful and poignant performance
I got chills and emotional watching this. Lovely dance, couldn’t take my eyes off the screen
My grandad fought in ww2 he was in the RAF he was shot down 3 times and walked away each time. He sadly passed away at the age of 92 he would be 100 3 days before Christmas. We miss him every single day. My brother and boyfriend are both in the British army so it kinda runs in my family
I loved how the women were dressed respectfully; reflected the values of the early 20th century. Excellent performance (obviously)
I can't remember a pro dance ever being better than this.
So moving.
Gorgeous dance and stunning choreography from Christopher Scott.
Bravo! Expertly choreographed by both dancers and cameras! Truly tells the story and shares the feeling!
Brendan and Nadiya were just perfect together xxxxxx
Simply stunning. Not a dry eye in our household.
This was soo good. What beautiful storytelling! Very much a story of the people. Well done Strictly.
Simply beautiful
At 2:46 Karen looks like she’s going to cry. So emotional I can that she’s imagining that Kevin went to war and didn’t come back 😢
Stunning, beautiful, thoughtful, empowering & respectful!!
This was the best pro dance I've seen on the show
When i watched this on Sunday, I was bawling my eyes out 🤧
stunning- karen is amazing. the best pro dance this series
Sunday 13th November 2017
A moving tribute, beautifully danced.

That was so beautiful

Moved me to tears ... fantastic job
Love this tribute.
SCD Observer why?
penny and fishy A modern take on Remembrance Day. Normally choreographers goes for the 40s Foxtrot, Charleston, Lindy Hop type of dance, not a contemporary-rumba hybrid angle...
That was bloody amazing.
Very moving performance.
if anyone wants to know the song version is 500 miles by Sleeping At Last! Glad their cover got recognition, and danced beautifully. x
Well I'm crying ❤
I wouldnt say it was emotional, but it definately was beautiful. When i heard the first lyric i was terrified as to how the dance would be, as all i could hear was two scotts singing da da da daaaa! However, the music was done brilliantly. Very well done!
Goosebumps. This was always the most poignant one they did
Not being a Strictly fan at all. This really moved me. Amazing choreography, amazing dancing, and an amazing version of this song ❤
I love this
Beautiful
So moving ❤️
Can’t wait for tonight’s hope it’s as good as this one ❤️❤️❤️🌹🥀
I love strictly
Seven of you disliked this, you have no soul.
All those women that lost their husbands 😢
matthew davis all those children who lost their fathers
All the men that lost their lives?
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins
Wow just wow ❤ xx
Wow so moving
Kevin, hair on point
As lovely as this performance is I realized when the BBC introduced pro-dancers-only routines that the non-pros still made the performances hreat too (when there were mixed routines)
Anyone else noticed how in all the best group dances Kevin has a main part?
Why isn’t this released on iTunes??!!
Kevin and Karen split up so now this dance is 10x more sad
beautiful❤️
Wow!
God wants you so much
Prayer request here also!
Anyone know where I can get a version of this song? It’s beautiful!
So much better than DWTS
Who choreographed this????
Xeria Santos Christopher Scott
*onions have entered the chat*
so sad for those soldiers
All that was missing was the Badada badadada
it’s meant to be emotional but they put on that song and i lost it
I just want likes on this comment 😂 also I love the cliftons
Francesco Mazzei Agree And Kevin is so handsome ;)
Loved the dance! It actually had me in tears at the end. But I feel the song was a bit poorly chosen. Although the lyrics are ok, everybody just connects them with the funny, bubbly original song
It’s a beautiful dance but once again the song choice just doesn’t feel right
okay but the song
Remembering . . yes. Romanticizing . . no. Most wars are futile. Just a dreadful waste of life at the hands of corrupt powers.
indeed.
Very true.
Thought it was a bit naff, myself...
I hate that song.A very strange choice for such a serious theme.I like Kevin but imo he is always just slightly before the music. Its like he cant wait for the next move or the music.

I am glad that you represent the 1.15% who didn't like it. The other 98.85% have a heart and know how to show respect.
I was at our village Remembrance Day ceremony for my son who was killed in Iraq and my great uncle who died in the Great War so don't lecture me. It was a poorly choreographed and thought out dance and it is in no way disrespectful to say that.
Shame you didn’t get the whole concept but not every dance is everyone’s cup of tea
That was bloody amazing.
