    Where did you get Delta? Did you train yourself? Very impressive both the shooting and her work.

      She is out of NE/FortCollins. The best dog I ever hunted with prior to her was her mom I got pick of the litter and yes my wife did the obedience amd I did all the hunt/shed training

    Howdy sir, just discovered your channel. From what it looks like your on the front range of Colorado. What would you say the best place to hunt duck on that side of the state be? more or the north, middle or south part of the state on the front range?

      I hope you are enjoying the content! You are not going to like this answer but it all depends on the weather and time of year. The best thing to do is scout like crazy. If you do t have time find friends who do!

    Was wondering what shotgun you shoot, I’m looking into the Stoeger M3000 but was wondering your thoughts on it?

    • @HoltzOutdoors
      @HoltzOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      The stoeger is a great option I personally run the Beretta A400 it’s the best shotgun own amd trust me I have a lot of them if you are looking for a more budget option look towards the franchi affinity

    Why would you spike the hole with your blinds? Bad idea....I put out a layout when I dont want birds to land in a spot and it works every time.

    • @HoltzOutdoors

      Spike the hole?

    • @connorcalvert6147
      @connorcalvert6147 3 роки тому

      @holtsoutdoors If we dont want ducks to short shot us we put a blind or a jet sled next to a hole and it guarantees they wont land there.

    • @connorcalvert6147
      @connorcalvert6147 3 роки тому

      You probably costed yourself a few birds by putting your blinds out the day before...especially smart ones like mallards.

    • @HoltzOutdoors
      @HoltzOutdoors  3 роки тому

      @@connorcalvert6147 why wouldn’t you want the ducks to land in your hole…that’s the whole point. I am confused at your original comment amd even more confused after your second comment. I general when your hunting waterfowl it’s not a good idea to leave anything out we have however put coyote decoys out to keep them out of fields we don’t want the m going in but that’s way away from where we are set up

    • @HoltzOutdoors
      @HoltzOutdoors  3 роки тому

      @@connorcalvert6147 that couldn’t be further from the truth. You will find much better success when the ducks have a chance to get used to area they are using. I only wish we could have left them out longer. You will especially notice that with bigger blinds like a frames, layouts arnt as big of a deal because dressed up right they plain don’t see them which is the goal

    Stop sky busting

    • @HoltzOutdoors
      @HoltzOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Lmao sky busting? That is honestly the first time I have heard that or got that comment. Every single time we shoot the ducks/ geese are literally in or directly over the decoys the farthest shot we took in the video was 40 yards max the polar opposite of sky busting...unless you are being sarcastic in which case thank you 😁
