I’m two years in to my guitar journey and you have taught me so much, Tim! Tyler is the reason I wanted to pick up the guitar and your lessons have really helped me with chord embellishments more so than any other online tutorials. I’m not typically one to comment but I wanted to tell you thank you for posting. God bless!
Thank you thank you thank you! Any Tyler Childers lesson is greatly appreciated! Thank you again! I'm learning this over the weekend. Oh, did I forget to say thank you? Thank you.
Great vid, picked up guitar a few months ago because i love Tyler’s music and am now able to hit the licks he throws out there thanks so much for the video!
Y'all are so write...his music can be almost about my life or relate to...Follow you to Vergie i cried the first time i heard it cause I lost my mom a year and a half ago in april and she was in great health she just had do a hearth Cath to look at her heart he comes in and tells us my moms heart looked like a 18 year old ...I thought since they went in and looked at her heart that they would keep over night and most do but my moms ins didn't cover a night in the hospital which is bull crap but my mom died a day later from a blood clot went into her lungs...Plp tell me to take it to court and I tell them for what money that's not going to bring my mom back but Follow you to Vergie dead on with my buddies at my house and they all called my mom, mom...When she passed two of them came to help me get thru it and the day on her birthday we went to spread her ashes and two more drove in cause they lived in Missouri and we live in Arkansas but they surprised me so my mom had 4 of my best friends their plus me to take her home and it was a cloudy day but the sun was up...when we said prayer and put my mom where she wanted to be put..it was crazy the clouds parted and the sun was beaming down on us and we all looked up and my friend of 30 years said well she home with the Lord...a month before she passed she had a letter we found and she left us a letter and it started like this if your reading this you know now I am with the Father so don't cry for me but make sure y'all dad don't grieve to death...Well 50 years of marriage he still is grieving and I do my best to keep him happy but its hard...I am sorry to tell you all this but thank you for not being mean...
Your tutorial’s Sir, are amazing!. Thank you for sharing and not trying to make a feller watch 15 minutes of forced personality when all we really came for is the musical breakdown.🤘 I have to say in parting , that your style of presentation beats the grandiose characters effortlessly lol. Well played Sir. *tips hat slowly
@@TimGuitarLessons yea man this got me through it. I like his little solo licks he throws in aswell. That's been an ongoing issue for me. Being able too add filler between chords. I know all my pentatonic scales etc, but maybe I need too look up some old school tabs. Get some more solo licks under my belt.
Hahaha all I'm doing is showing you how to play a great songwriters songs... I think Tyler Childers is your spirit animal... and mine too. I'm ready for him to put out a new album... been too long since Purgatory
Podcastville pick open A string hammering on A string first fret to A string 2 fret, then pick open D string then pick D string 2 fret then open G. Then strike the G string and B string with your first finger on B string 1st fret and 2 finger on G string 2 fret. Sliding them up to 3rd and 4th fret. Right after the slide strike the B string 3rd fret with upward an upward strike of the the pick then pick it again and hammer on 5fret B string them pick 4th fret G string again and slide back to 1st fret B string and 2nd fret G string then pick open G string then going into the chord G. That’s the first part
Podcastville second part is actually super simple! Ok he plays that first lick then strums the G chord twice while hammering on the “C” shape in the G then the SECOND lick is: up,down,up on the 3rd fret E string (your pinky) then immediately right after pull of on the 2nd fret E string with your MIDDLE finger then pull off on the 3rd fret B string with your THIRD finger then pull off on the 1st fret B string with your FIRST finger THEN pull off on the 2nd fret G string with your MIDDLE finger. Then repeat the slide :))))
I almost skipped the video cause you took too long to get into the tutorial. Seemed like you were just going to play the song. I'd recommend at least talking to us throughout the video or keeping the intro shorter. Just some constructive criticism from someone who just came across your channel/video.
Clear instructions no personal anecdotes or bull s***. Thank God for guys like this. Thanks Tim!
That's exactly what I'm going for... hate teachers with all that personal opinion stuff
Can you please do a lesson on “coming down?”

One day do you think you can teach the riffs from the live preformance? Really trying to challenge my self! Thank Tim!
I just said this. Great minds!
Podcastville I figured it out by ear:)))

Sorry man! Thanks for the comment though!
whats going on with that thumb?
Probably a little fretting, a little muting, a little over extension to let a lower string ring out... all of the things
