Thanks for watching! I’m super happy with how this tank turned out! Let me know what you guys think, & also let me know what kind of fish we should put in here!⬇️
Definitely fast fish so they don’t become turtle food. You could do a small school of danios. They swim together, are hardy, and can out swim the turtles.
Personally I think that some lyretail mollies or some sort of smaller tetra (rummynose?) or maybe even some fancy guppies. Just some extra fast moving color would help the tank pop in my opinion. Nonetheless, you’re on a roll dude. I’m absolutely loving your videos and what you’re doing. You’ve inspired me so much, and are super underrated. Keep it up
The new turtle aquarium looks amazing, the turtles look big and it is so much better to see them than when they we in the tub. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for the next video.
great video. just wanted to add...the uva/uvb bulb helps them to absorb calcium. with out the light they can suffer from metabolic bone disease, and that causes the shell to become deformed and they also wont shed scutes and cause retained scutes but yea there are other reasons.. Also if you can use the lamp stand holder instead of setting the lights on the screen its waaay more beneficial for their health. When you place it on glass or screen it disrupts the amount of rays and then they dont get to absorb as much and makes the light seem super weak. so if you can avoid it, its the best.
Hi from Scotland! You are my biggest inspiration in the fish-keeping hobby and every day that I see you upload it just instantly makes me feel better! I have got a 90 litre community tank in my room now because of how much you have helped me fall in love with the hobby and it is running amazingly mostly because of your tips in your videos! Thanks for being such a great youtuber and an even better person!
I have a red earred slider and a western painted in a 40 gallon breeder but can not add fish as they keep eating them. Any suggestions on fish that would be safe with them would be great as they just like to hunt and eat them.
hi, I have had a turtle for 5 years now but I have just started to do research. Last year I upgraded to a 350 stock tank outside, I have 3 turtles, a 6 inch, and two 5 inches, it is currently NOT filtered. I was looking at what GPH a new filter should be some places say it should be times 5 but a filter for 1750 gallons seems like a lot. Help I don't know what to do.
also the uva/uvb and heat lamp needs to be between 10 to 12 in away from the turtles shell when they are on the basking dock. your set up turned out so AWESOME. they will love it so much
Thanks for your videos Carson! Love watching what you do with your tanks. I used to spend my summers in Belleville when I was a kid, as a Cubs fan, I took a lot of flack!! Lol
My little brother got a gorgeous Betta fish today, and my brother and I are getting turtles, while my bigger sister is getting an axolotl all because you inspired us to get pets :))
Looks good! I have my baby musk turtle with platys, so they won't be harmful if he eats them. He's in a 40g breeder also. Prime neutralizes ammonia for 48 hours too, so that's why I prefer it over other water conditioners.
Hello thanks for the information video. I havnt got a turtle 🐢 yet but I’m doing a lot of research and planning and thinking on the whole project. I want to get a large fish tank. Then I’m thinking of putting in a divider in a small area of the tank. Then I want to fill it with plants 🌱. The turtle will not be able to access it so the plants should grow. What do you think? TIA on anyone giving me their opinion
I can never get my water clear like that for my turtle! I’m going to have to do the same steps you did . I have water conditioner but that doesn’t work
It doesn’t take too long, matters how much water you have, but turtles are messy buggers so about weekly ( like every Saturday is easiest for me) just make sure when you add more water back to condition it, but about 10-20 minutes and pretty easy in my opinion
Carson I love ur vids you are the best aquatic dude I have seen on UA-cam I have a little baby river cooter that’s in a tub that you posted a while back keep up the great work
What’s going to be in the tank? Some fish need more powerful filtration than others. In my 55 Mbuna tank, I have 2 filters, but only because of how much they poop
*Help Needed: I have had two baby yellow bellied sliders for about 6 months now with no issue, just recently as it has gotten colder (I didn't have a heater) they started to get lethargic not eating as much. So I bought a heater, replaced my heating bulb - but they still don't swim around that often and only eat sparingly almost not even interested in the feeding pellets. They are just sitting in a corner at the bottom the tank rn. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it! I don't know what else to do - i have checked for any visible sign of illness and they look okay. The tank is a 20 gallon high, water temp 79 degrees, food mix of pellets and shrimp, and I do regular water changes.
Hey Carson I’m about to set up my 40 gallon on Black Friday. I already got the tank and lights. I just need the rest of the things then my red eared slider Toby is gonna love it. Happy thanksgiving Carson
Thanks for watching! I’m super happy with how this tank turned out! Let me know what you guys think, & also let me know what kind of fish we should put in here!⬇️

Carson if you dm me on Instagram I’ll gift you a dwarf caiman

The tank looks great Carson!!
I can't wait to see what content comes out of it
Buying my first home and I really want to get into the hobby. Thanks for putting up all this great content!
Just remember, it does cost quite a bit of money to get them everything necessary! So make sure you can afford it on top of buying your new home!! :)
Ha ha...your very last tip about being sure they wouldn't get wedged in was going to be my very 1st sentence!!! They look MAHVELOUS!!!
At 3:00 why not go for the thrive above tank basking area in the bottom shelf? It’s built for 40g breeders!
Yes sir carson has uploaded!!!
LESS GOOOO Carson that tank be lookin fire
I love the tank!! Seeing the turtles and it looks so cool!
Honestly I would go with live-neared such as guppies, platies, or mollies. Great set up!

I have a red earred slider and a western painted in a 40 gallon breeder but can not add fish as they keep eating them. Any suggestions on fish that would be safe with them would be great as they just like to hunt and eat them.

How often do you change the water? How do you keep the water so clear? My tank water keeps turning a light green.
Carson please tell me what pump you are using on the turtle tank. I can't find one that will work and I have the same tank! Thanks!

I was thinking of getting some red ear sliders but Idk because I don't want them to bit me if I were to pick them up.
I got a few questions. What kind of light bulbs r they, what type of water heater is it, and what kind of water filter?
What do you recommend putting into my turtle tank if my little piggy eats any plant in sight aside from the greens he is supposed to eat?
Love your videos Carson, You should get a map or painted turtle

What filter are you using
What happened to the live plants? Gotta make the switch
Hey I like your setup but what watts do you use for your UVB and heat lamp?
Hey Carson do you know of anyway I can keep my turtle tank clear and not foggy? And do you have any suggestions on turtle filters?
My 5 and 8 year old daughters love watching your videos!! My 8 year old wants to see an angelfish in there with the turtles

question, will a 40 gallon tank be enough for an adult red slider?
Need 120 gallons
Great job! 👍🏻
Love your videos! Can’t stop watching, keep up the good work! Maybe some Rasboras for the turtle tank?
What filter did u use for the tank?
You are the best youtuber
I can never get my water clear like that for my turtle! I’m going to have to do the same steps you did . I have water conditioner but that doesn’t work
Great video, I am starting on setting up the tank. How often do you clean and change water in this tank and how hard is it ?

Carson I love ur vids you are the best aquatic dude I have seen on UA-cam I have a little baby river cooter that’s in a tub that you posted a while back keep up the great work
Were you using real or fake plants?
I suggest zebra danios, white cloud minnows, or ender guppies
What should I do for my turtle
What's the best way to clean a tank that has been given to you.
Always love your videos
I missed you homie good video 💯💯
Hey I got a question? What filter for a 55 gallon tank do you recommend??
What’s going to be in the tank? Some fish need more powerful filtration than others. In my 55 Mbuna tank, I have 2 filters, but only because of how much they poop
FX6 or anything that can filter 150 gallons. You need at least double whatever the tank size and go by the minimum number on the filter.
Ayooooo that tank is hot hottt 🔥
that uvb light you need a bar light. I have 3 beard dragons and the bar is better for the light so for the turtles you need that also
What happened to the 4th turtle?
Yaaay it worked this time
super nice tank
Can they go in a smaller tank when they're babies
I love your videos SO much and they teach me to set up tanks keep with it 👍
The wood 🪵 basking area looks amazing on my tank
My turtle 🐢 can't get into the root and that is good because they are drowning. But the guppies breed and feel save there
It's looking nice BTW. I will send in 3 tank pictures for tank Tuesday.
