Uno, Dos, Tres A year ago you were climbing log piles, bucking wood, splitting under a tent and stacking wood. What a favor your neighbor did for you. Very nice job, lads.
…..Irene was quite happy to see you’re knockin out load after load of the Sugar Maple, and she agrees with you about the beech & hickory being a great btu burning wood (27.5 vs 28) but still is curious if your going to combine the birch with oak splits?. Keep cool in the coming days it’s suppose to be 100 on Wednesday & Thursday….’
Been on my first vacation in 12 years. Wasn't much, went to eastern W. Va. for 4 days and rented a cabin at Golden Anchor cabins in Davis W. Va. great cabins, beautiful area. Mama Mia's restaurant comes highly recommended. Not many places open on Mon.- Thurs. this time of year. Beautiful scenery and parks. Blackwater falls and Senaca Rocks were awesome.
Hello from Chicago! It's tough to really see but it doesn't look like you adjust the wedge that much even if the logs are big or small. Do you think you can cut down on the re-splits if you try to move the wedge up or down depending on what you are processing?
In a perfect world you would sort your logs by size. The wedge is all the way down on the smaller stuff and is moved up some for the few bigger logs that were run thru.
Was that a eastonmade axis or a eastonmade bigger than your respliter I seen in background early in video. I seen on Ohio woodburner yesterday where japa came by and hooked up a hydraulic powered wood chip blower to the cutter discharge.. you should get with eastonmade to see if they have something similar
i dont know if its youtube or my connection or camera settings, but there are some shots that are running at 15 frames per second. Keep up the good work getting that wood done, its a lot of hard work
The cradle for the MB appears to be about shoulder height or more Whereas the splitter he uses is around belt height. I guess if he loaded up the skid steer bucket it would be doable but very precarious. But his splitter would use half the gas and offer much more precise splits and half the shreds and shards. ( imo)
Adam and I did some that way a few weeks ago. Works good but would take 3 guys to make it effective not having to hop on and off tractor to bring rounds and back to run splitter. We set log table by cookie door to use as a standing platform to load blocks of wood
No, why would we, sounds like a lot of extra work to load and move it there and handle it all one round a t a time, that is basically whay we do with the Ultra.

im kinda getting annoyed at how much you have to resplit lol. a Japa or anything in that style seems to do the job better?.. never seen anyone resplit when they're been using one of them.. or atleast not in the amount you need to.. Or could that maybe have something to do with the type of wood? im no expert, but stuff like this sounds interesting so I just trying to learn a bit ;)
A. Stop worrying about stuff you can't control. There's no upside to it. B. Get him the machine you think he should be using. Chris is very accommodating. We all would like to see a comparison.
Yup, but the Eastonmade is a much more powerful, bigger log handling, faster, automated, industrial, firewood processor. if we wanted to we could run a full semi load in one full day pretty easily.
I figure you got to be at least the 2nd wealthiest guy in WI! I bet Bill Gates and Warren Buffett TOGETHER don't use 4 dump trailers more than once a week!! I don't know this for a fact, but it makes sense. The only guy in WI wealthier than you is the guy that owns the ice hockey Goalie Training School! Even HE does not use 4 dump trailers!! You need 6 or 8 entries in Ripley's!! ...Nah! Nobody would believe it! GNI
Chris you don’t want too much white birch , if you want my 2 cent in firewood 🪵. 😊 see LOG FATHER put out 36 cords out in 2 wk with processor. Semi bring him 18 cords preload to his woodyard. 😊
Impressive work with the EASTONMADE 22MB Firewood Processor! 🔥🪵 Your efficiency in cutting and splitting those three loads is truly remarkable. We sent you an email, we would love to connect and collaborate with you.

Bert is seriously operating the wood processor like a master...he operates it like he is a machine him self.....
More consistent size logs would make it faster.

Must be nice getting all the help you are getting now. Beats doing all by yourself like you used to. Props to Gavin. He learnt the MB22 fast. 👍👍

Great job Chris, what a difference a year makes. The new wood yard looks great.

Wow, you are now as good as Bert on the machine!!!!!
No, he still does a few little trick thing better, but we like to take turns, a load or two in the seat and it is nice to trade jobs .
That's a nice run of wood and that machine just eats it up, awesome!!

Nice job guys. A trailer load for each of you. Curious about the Birch. Do you have customers that specify Birch firewood? GNI
Thanks, just a few, but I never have had much of it, some will just get mixed into the other hardwood.
I know you have said that you sell everything you produce. Are you getting close to producing more than you can sell?
Maybe but there is always next year and wood keeps fine, also I could have a big sale!!!
About how long does it take you per log load double load 14 cord or per cord
If we stayed on it all day we could easily do a whole load in 2 days.
Great content Chris, only bad thing is when you move the camera so fast I loose my breakfast
Sorry Peter! Thanks for watching!
Have you had any issues with the processor
Not much just the bar/chain tensioning. It is hard to get not to tight and not to loose. But we have it figured out now.
MB22 clears pile of woods with little attention n shorts time n resplits😮

I buy lunch and soda.
For thoes that are wondering. There was 12,732 B-17 built for WW2 and only 10 of them are left flying here in 2023
Thanks for the info Sir Daniel!
That log diameter at ~26 minutes is exactly what that machine was made for

What size bar is on the log processor, max log diameter
20 inch according to the website
The name of the processor is 22mb so 22!
